NAME: Tenshi Reichou
AGE: 32
GENDER: Male
VILLAGE: Konohagakure no Sato
RANK: Jounin
[Iryonin]
NATURE MANIPULATION:
[Raiton]
[Suiton]
RELATIONS: N/A
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Reichou stands at a staggering six foot and seven inches tall, having a body type built with muscle, proving his physical strength. His eyes, hair and the color of his Tenshi clan seal are all silver in color, giving him a rather unique appearance, as if his size didn't do that enough. He wears a full body suit that allows for movement and breathing, as well as a long cloth belt. Above this he wears a heavily weighted armor on his forearms, chest, and legs, as well as a helm. This serves to also give him a more personalized appearance, making him look more intimidating than he already does.
MENTALITY: Much as his rarely seen eye color unofficially dictates, Reichou is a very stern and serious individual, and few ever see him as anything but a stone cold warrior. Lacking of all expressing emotion, Reichou appears to be a cold-hearted man that does not care for any but himself, being selfish in his thoughts and actions for none other than his own benefit. However, he is still a Tenshi, which is a fact that few know, but any injured patrons around him that are not enemies could easily gather. Although he is a war veteran and combat expert, he is a healer above all else, and all of his fighting and decision tactics revolve around this fact. His methods seem to be a double-edged sword for enemy and ally alike, often never choosing a path that would put himself or company in danger, while sometimes purposely allowing the same party to take blows and strikes to allow for openings to take down the enemy, just because he knows he can heal the damage afterward, ending the fight more quickly.
It is for this latter reason that many have refused to work with Reichou, believing that he cares more about killing than protecting his friends, not realizing his strategy of the moment. Those that do know how he works, however, realize that he is not only a great fighter, but a caring and skilled healer, who in the end, puts that above all else. He does enjoy combat and fighting, unlike most medical shinobi, though as a Tenshi, his main care and goal in the world is to heal and make sure his allies survive. Few ever see him as anything more than a destructive, emotionless, far-too-serious beast of a man, but any who are ever on the verge of death or suffering from severe injury, may catch a glimpse of his caring and gentle side who, at the end of the day, cares of nothing more than healing and protecting.
Reichou cares very much about the Tenshi clan as a whole, though few ever realize his true amount of passion beneath the iron facade of a hardened combat veteran. He puts the well being of the clan above most things, wanting them to grow larger and become renowned as the unmatched healers of the shinobi world once again.
Although normally a quiet, stern and distrusting man, due to his knowledge of how abrupt and unexpected moments of violence in the shinobi world can be, Reichou has been seen to show an almost inhuman level of manners and politeness. He has a vast level of intelligence thanks to his constant studying and reading, mostly about medical subjects. Usually only when faced with someone he is confident will not, or can not, harm him, or when feeling sufficiently protected with an ally by his side, he will calm down and his intelligence and manners will be expressed. This, however, is even more rare than seeing him be gentle and caring. Reichou has an extremely high moral code, preferring to never kill unless the fight demands it, and he usually winds up apologizing afterwards. Though should anyone be dishonorable, he displays his much more common ruthless attitude.
BIOGRAPHY: Born in Konohagakure no Sato, Reichou was the son of a medic and a taijutsu user. His mother was the one responsible for his Tenshi bloodline limit, while his father was an average taijutsu specialized shinobi. Upon birth, he was branded with the Tenshi clan seal, located on his chest just over his heart, to prevent the massive excess of healing chakra from destroying his infant body. From a very young age, his mother began training him in the healing arts that he was destined to be an expert at, thanks to his bloodline, while his father taught him the basic shinobi skills, knowing that any amount of healing was useless if the medic could not protect themselves. From that day on, it had been decided that he would practice both ninja and taijutsu constantly, both of his parents constantly pushing him, always explaining how tough being a ninja was. Wanting to make his parents proud and become a great ninja, Reichou dragged himself to the limits every day, knowing he could always become better.
Upon entering the academy, he was among the top of the class, thanks only to the constant pressure to learn from his parents. He graduated in four years, and joined a Genin team along with two other peers, a taijutsu user who was incapable of performing jutsu, and another who specialized in genjutsu with support ninjutsu, which was rare for Genin. Their sensei trained them well, teaching them many things in all area of chakra and jutsu, as he had to extensively cover every field for team that varied so widely in skills. He taught them the importance of team work, as well as its many strengths, and even the weaknesses. They practiced every day, and after a few missions, they had created an effective three-man cell that allowed them to handle almost any situation with efficiency and talent. One year after becoming a team, they entered the Chuunin exams, and each of them was only able to pass this time thanks to their sensei who had trained and taught them a broad array of knowledge and skills, allowing them to handle any situation they were thrown in.
After being promoted to Chuunin, they were no longer officially a team, but they still remained in close contact with each other, still being very good friends. They went on more missions alone, but continued to partner up on them whenever it was allowed, as they not only enjoyed the company of one another and trusting each other, but they were far more efficient and effective in combat when working together.
One day, his parents were going on a escort mission, and got permission for Reichou to come, despite only being a Chuunin. Expecting it to be an easy mission, he failed to consider the fact that they would not have sent three ninja, two of which were Jounin, one an escort if severe danger was not predicted. In the darkness of the night, they were ambushed by a group of rogue ninja. Reichou watched his parents fight, his mothers caring nature expressed as she tried to get everyone to calm down and stay together, while his father fought them all. Reichou too jumped in to try to fight, though was quickly overpowered. He saw one chance to take down the enemies, but instead stayed back to try to heal others, despite his mother having already taken care of it all. It was because of this that the enemies took their chance to strike and kill both his parents. Amongst a scream that seemed to tear at time itself, Reichou rushed angrily at the men who murdered his parents, though one of them struck Reichou violently in the head, blood bursting from his face as he fell to the ground. Assuming him dead, they stole what they had come for and left the many battered and beaten bodies in the desert to be taken by the animals. Reichou awoke hours later, coughing up blood, unable to see and having difficulty breathing from the blood that had dried upon his face. He attempted to stumble toward the village, but the damage to his body caused him to collapse, thinking he was going to die. Luckily, the chaos had been reported and after only a few more hours, Konoha shinobi had arrived to the ravaged caravan to rescue any survivors, though much to their dismay, Reichou was the only one.
As others stayed up to take care of the death and destruction, one of them immediately rushed Reichou back to the village to seek medical help. They were able to stabilize and heal him, though it left a horrendous scar upon his forehead that would forever haunt him of what happened on that day. The day he left the hospital, he decided to change his fighting habits and methods, realizing his mistakes, and knowing such things could never be forgiven, and he would never allow it to happen again. It was then that he vowed to utterly destroy all those who tried to harm his friends and allies, for his duty in life was to protect, even if it meant he had to kill to do it.
After a few weeks of ensuring he was okay Reichou returned to going on missions and spending time with his two best friends, his Genin teammates. After a few short years and numerous missions, the three approached the Konohagakure Council together, asking for a test to be promoted to the rank of Jounin. Supporting one another through better and worse, the three were all promoted. Now the rank of Jounin, the three were forced to go their own ways even more, constantly being sent on different missions all over the lands. They remained close as much as possible, though, often meeting and catching up between missions, sharing their experiences. Just as the many years before, they would continue to team up and go on missions together as often as possible, improving their skills alone and together with each day that passed. Over the many years of his life, Reichou has remained closely knit to his Tenshi roots, meeting up with them at every clan gathering, while he also trains every day and studies constantly. Reichou strives to push himself to his limits without end, wanting to become as strong as possible, for the greater good of the village, the clan, himself, his late parents, and the world as a whole.
