Height: 162.56 cm Weight: 53 kg Eyes: Ocean Blue Hair: Blonde; Pompadour style
Personality: A man that usually keeps to himself, Kaito is the staple "quiet" guy, someone who listens and tries to understand the things around him before speaking or getting involved in situation. He likes to speak with "actions" more than "words" as he has seen what words can do which amounts to nothing. He takes seriously his use of an inadequate fighting style in battle and is someone who learned from his father that his own path is the path set by his fists and his "worth" not being bothered by insults as he finds them worthless as words can't hurt you (unless it's a jutsu). He is overall exceptionally serious, as a character though he does have a sense of humor. He can be quite shrewd due to his quiet nature.
Despite his height and size, he doesn't care for being smaller than most people and feels that again actions speak louder than a persons appearance, meaning he doesn't judge someone by such things. He is loyal to his friends and colleagues to a fault, and isn't one to give up on trusting their worth unless he sees what they do with his own eyes. He can be hard to get along with and isn't trusting to those he doesn't know, and rarely talks to them unless he has something important he needs to say. He is also an honorable combatant, and will never fight with "tricks" despite being a ninja and despite this possibly placing his life in danger or killing him as he wishes to showcase his strength with his fists only.
Despite being such a person, he is often a lone wolf and likes to do things on his own usually because he feels that he should do things by his own hand, he will do teamwork if it is an absolute necessity, though and is not above compromising. He does not like people touching his hair, anyone that isn't his friend or closest companion usually gets a fist to face as a result of this, unless he can cause an incident because of his actions. He can also be a large hypocrite in certain situations, and is quick to point out others flaws if he sees something wrong. He can also over think situations, and make up complicated conditions towards simple concepts.
As a ninja he is highly perceptive, trying to understand what makes an opponent tick before rushing recklessly into battle. He is quite calm, even against opponents who are stronger than he is, and is able to think through things while fighting without being deterred. Battles and even spars are taken very seriously, in which he usually has a stern and serious look on his face watching his opponents every move. He also has the ability to stay calm in very stressful situations using that skill to beat his father's assassin.

Born into the Narukami family, Tetsuo who was Kaito's father was known as an expert taijutsu combatant in the Lightning Village. He was known for using a boxing style, which was considered to be the worse form of fighting in existence due to its liabilities, though gained "brownie" points for making it less so through his physical training and strength abilities. Before Tetsuo turned three his father died during a mission in which his arms were ripped off as a condescending way of taunting his father in death. Kaito only learned about this at five, in which he not only wished to go into the academy but also wished to focus solely on his fathers fighting style to get revenge for his death and prove its strength. His father had left notes, of which he used to begin his training in footwork and the basics of boxing.
As a young male, he was a rambunctious tyke, who got on everyone's nerves with his attitude and his size was much smaller than most people. Often, he'd been in trouble with his peers and fought against them due to these same traits. When confronted by adults, he admitted he was wrong about such things, but was often ridiculed for his size as well and was taught by his father to never back down towards a challenge despite this. The fights only escalated in high-school where he'd fought with his learned boxing skills, said to be one of the more powerful kids in class in terms of sparring and one-on-one combat due to this.
He'd become very confident in his abilities when he'd exited out of the academy. As a genin, he'd often say that he could beat anyone with his great skills. He was however brought back to earth by his teacher who'd quickly shown him all the flaws of his form and technique leading to him being angry enough to cry about it after he'd gotten home. His mother was worried, but he'd called it a learning experience after contemplating it, deciding to recondition his training and starting to train twice as hard in things like forms, and basic punches. Through this training, he'd made his first few techniques.
His experiences came quickly as he got a taste of what the world was truly like, leaving the comfort of the village in order to do missions, which led to him understanding the flaws of his skills even further. With these learning experiences, and the constant ideas flowing into his head he had began to become more focused and less talkative in the presence of his teacher (who was both a taijutsu and kenjutsu expert) and his comrades. He'd begun to think with his head and believed that his actions would speak louder than his words so he himself should shut his mouth. His teacher had said that he'd matured and as time passed he would fulfill the role of the cool, calculating young man, with an eerie specialization in taijutsu.
A year later, he'd enter into the chunin exams thanks to what maturity he and the rest of his team had shown. Thanks to the training and shifting of events in motion, both his teammates would become dual chunins except for him because of his reliance on an inferior skill and because he could be a liability. Angered by this, he wouldn't give up on his training setting himself up to train even harder to showcase why he wouldn't be a liability in battle. This would be the first sign that he'd have the potential to use the gates, after his teacher would build a special training course made to test his skills to the limits.
Through this test, and through the might of his unbroken willpower. He would tap into the reserves of his strength after the last battle was against an opponent of jounin level to test how much his strength had truly gone. This would lead him to releasing the first gate unknowingly, unlocking that in order to go toe to toe with an opponent with such skills. This man would say he was an acquaintance and as a result of a wager needed to pay off a debt with the battle. He wouldn't beat said opponent but would come close to placing up a lethal match-up unknown that it was his teacher who actually fought against him. Kaito had fell into unconsciousness due to exhaustion being carried to his home by his mentor.
The next day, having not known what had happened the male had become wary of his weakness in combat. His strength was nothing more than a flea compared to so many people who had surpassed and beat him in combat. As he met with his teacher in the next stage of his training, he'd explained about his fear of weakness and loss of ability to fight with so many heavy-hitters. His teacher had laughed at him saying that he had actually gained a tremendous amount of strength and that the reason for such losses was because his power hadn't matured yet as he was still "small" but his potential was vast as it revolved around a style all his own.
This gave the young male some hope, as his teacher had revealed that he also gained another "tool" in learning how to unlock the Hachimontoku or the "Eight Gates", surprising him and saying that he'd begin training him to perfect the ability to unlock more after getting him to understand the power. That the power couldn't be unlocked by just any ninja even though everyone had the potential to use the power but not everyone could use it due to strain. So developing his body in his masters own training course led to him becoming strong enough to not only use more gates but also increased his statistics exponentially in the short order of six months. He'd learned the first and second gates while in this training.
By this time he'd joined another team of genin who had lost one of their ninjas during a mission battle, over a month they tried to meld together in order to be prepared for the chunin exams. Afterward, they'd taken it and Kaito with little effort surpassed the expectations of said tests going on to become a chunin. He knew full-well that a brand new world would be unlocked with this, moving on to bigger and better things.
A year had passed since he became a chunin, and after so many fights and battles he was winded through it all. He'd became a more confident and reliable individual in terms of the belief in his abilities, also developing new tricks towards his boxing skills in order to stay strong in the harsh world, also gaining two more gates in the process. With this however, would come more powerful opponents who pushed the limits of his battle strength to their absolute limits in which he'd understand himself a little better after every harsh fight. Thanks to his similar martial arts and name, a certain person took notice of the characteristics of Kaito, thanks to now being within the bingo books due to his strength on the battlefield. His fathers killer, a ninja from Iwagakure no Sato.
With that, this new threat would come out and do the same to Kaito just to add insult to injury, Kaito would unknowingly walk into a trap after being summoned in a secluded area where not many people roamed. This same ninja who would announce himself as Tetsuo's killer would severely anger Kaito and the fight would begin within an instant. However, the difference in characteristics between Kaito and his father were that Kaito wasn't one to recklessly move into anything, making him far more perceptive of the trap set.
This would not save him for long, as he was placed under a genjutsu, taking an illusion which he could not break by normal means of escape thanks to his weakness in said abilities. He was slowly tortured and made into a rag doll by the assassin, until Kaito would utilize the experimentation of using the gates excess of pain and his willpower to break said illusion and give the finishing blow to the assassin. He wasn't done with that however, as he'd punch the man consecutively in sheer anger, only pushing him to near death after he would be stopped by a multitude of jounin and chunin in the village due to the commotion that the battle had caused. He still wanted his revenge for his father in this man's death but the rage had overtaken him and he would be stopped.
Feeling the angst over his father's killer in his grasp and yet not being capable of killing him. He was haunted by such a situation over and over, but was told by his teacher that needlessly killing him could cause the prelude to a war between Iwa and Kumo and that it just couldn't happen. When he'd got home, he'd told his mother what he had done, and they both cried to one another over such things, Kaito crying more due to his inability to finish what he'd started. Time would slowly wane until two more years would pass.
Thanks to his skill in taijutsu, at age 18, Kaito had became a Tokubetsu Jounin, basically a teacher for the younger generation that was coming. Although still heavy on his heart, his father's assassin was within a jail in Kumo that wasn't told to Kaito just in case he'd gotten ideas to assassinate him. He'd mellowed once more, becoming less obsessed with killing him after all. His life was becoming better, even if slowly as he'd perform his job as a Tokubetsu with all his strength. He would also think about opening a dojo...
