Kana smiled at Shiori and Katsuo, and nodded before ducking into the kitchen door - just to the side of the main bar - to yell Shiori's order. She passed Katsuo his sake and got back to taking care of her other customers, pausing to look when a large shadow filled the doorway. Waving, she called "Welcome, Akujin-sama!" and smiled.
The formidible frame of Akujin just barely squeaked through the sliding door to the tavern area of the Inn, but it made it through nontheless. His cloak tossed back and his weapon as ever on his back, he looked fairly out of place. His ever present armor indicated that he had probably just returned from a mission; which he had. The disturbance in the capital had caused a need for him to experience some culture, so he came to the inn which had reopened in his absence.
"Hello Kana-chan." He said, and approached the bar - wading through the crowd easily and tilting his head to acknowledge his fellow ANBU and the other shinobi there. He had already reported to the Hokage, but he nodded in his direction as well.

“Oh, I’m fine. You know me, I’ll fake it no matter how much it hurts.”
Shiori laughed, then paused before suddenly tapering off into an uncomfortable silence. She wasn’t sure if she had just admitted her own mental insecurities out loud or not, so she decided to ignore it and perhaps privately visit Sonzai’s clinic someday soon.
While waiting for her order, Shiori carried on small talk and waved at a few passersby. She knew and was friends with just about every shinobi in the village, and many civilians. The newest arrival, Uchiha Akujin, was something of an exception, however. She knew of him but had never spoken to before, primarily because the opportunity had never arisen.
Perhaps now would be a good time to break the ice, though his body language suggested that he wasn’t the friendliest sort, and was probably not looking for company at the moment. When her nattō arrived, she’d peck at it quietly while deciding on the best course of action…

The sake was simply amazing. There was no other way to put it. In the time the inn had been closed down, there had been a severe lack of quality in the adult beverages in the village. Taking another sip, the ANBU smiled and relished the taste. It was bitter, but still had a soothing after-taste that warmed the senses.
As a familiar shinobi appeared, stopping at the bar not far from Katsuo and Shiori, the ANBU returned the nod to Akujin. It was good to see him safely returned from wherever he had been.
"Oh, I'm fine. You know me, I'll fake it no matter how much it hurts."
"I know what you mean," Katsuo nodded, glancing to Shiori with a knowing expression on his face. It had been a two of years since his sister had been killed during the war, and even now Katsuo felt that he hadn't completely come to terms with the loss of his sibling. "But, I think that's what all of us do, Shiori-san. We just keep on going."
Katsuo reached out a hand and patted her forearm reassuringly, before moving it back to hold his sake cup.
"I know you'll be fine," He said, genuinely meaning it. "We all will be, too."
But, Katsuo had to admit the conversation had become awkward, which simply wouldn't do on a grand reopening. So, giving a smile, he looked toward Akujin and elbowed the larger man in the side, chuckling.
"How was your trip, Akujin-san?" Katsuo asked, raising an eyebrow. It was obvious by the dust and disheveled look of the other ANBU that he had just returned. He was a very intimidating character, but Katsuo felt that there was an underlining respect for those Akujin met. "You look like you've been on the road for days, and I'm sure both Shiori-san and I would love to hear about your adventure."
Katsuo looked to Shiori and winked in amusement.
