Sword in his hand, his foot steps traced across the dank brown earth quickly. The clouds were a bit lower than usual today, but like the wind that whisked across his tantō, he was unaffected by the environment around him. With one solid stroke of his fine blade, the teal shroud that was exerted around his tantō carved a crescent-shaped scar into the slab of earth that crumbled thereafter.
"FALCON CLAW, STRIKE!" he grinned as he pulled on the hilt of his weapon, debris settled into the air suddenly.
This is what he did on the days where he didn't have much else to do. He found that training, albeit alone or not, was a nice stress reliever. It allowed him to test his capabilities, develop new tricks and tactics, so he could have various ways to defend himself if needed. Recently, he was summoned to the Raikage's office and was told about some group known as the Biūtsukai, who were in pursuit of the tailed-beast. Since learning this information, he'd been kind of on edge.
He wasn't sure how to stomach information of this caliber. Like, how do you go about your day knowing someone's targeting you? That was just one of the thoughts he originally had, although he seemed completely stress free. That's how he'd stay, too.

Ein was on cloud nine. After all, she hated using her backup wakizashi. It just felt...foreign. The hilt wasn't at all broken in, the blade didn't whistle just the way she liked it to, and none of her charms seemed to go with it. It was a gift from an out of town relative...a lovely thought, but executed extremely poorly. A sword wasn't like a coffee mug or a shirt that could just be purchased and used as it was. No, a sword chose its user. It was tailored, nurtured...not pulled off a shelf and put in a pretty box. It was the wrong length, entirely too long for someone of Ein's height and closer to a katana. But she would use it while her own favored blade was in for servicing. She wouldn't have to like it, but she'd use it.
But now, she had her own baby back. It was shorter, only 32 inches long. It more closely resembled a tanto, with a shimmery orange-yellow ribbon wrapped around the hilt, and a banana charm hanging from the bottom. The blade was freshly sharpened, the hilt new but her old grip taken and put on it with the new ribbon. And now she was on her way home to put her old blade away, hopefully for another good year or two. Her secondary backup blade would be picked up tomorrow...there was a chip in the edge, and the entire metal would need to be replaced.
As she walked, she heard a familiar whistle of good metal cutting the air, followed by the sound of ripping ground, and she was inexplicably drawn to the noise. She recognized the swordsman immediately. Her teammate, Nozu. Hanging back for a moment, she just watched him with considering eyes of violet before stepping forward.
"Hey, Nozu. What's up? That seemed like a pretty good slice." He seemed turbulent. She hoped she wasn't interrupting anything. She understood how it was when you got in a zone while training.

"Hmph," he sighed, twirling his tantō around in his hand before re-sheathing on at his backside. His muscles felt tense, he noticed this as the palm of his hand gently brushed against the side of rib cage. Rolling his head to the side, causing his neck to sound with a loud pop, he peered over his shoulders with his big brown eyes settling upon the person who called to him.
"Ara?" he sounded, curiously. Identifying Ein quickly, he gave a light grin. "Oh. It's just you, Ein." Turning around fully, he faced his teammate, his arms paralleled and his hands slipped into his pocket.
"Heh. Thanks," he replied, with a stale tone about his voice. "I'm workin' on a jutsu but I haven't quite perfected it yet." he admitted, turning back downs the slabs of earth that he had just cleaved from the cliff side. "I'm tryna to slice the plateau in two, but it looks like I'm gonna have to put a lot more work into this before I can do that. It's early though. What're you doing over on this side of the village?"

Ein's ears were tuned to Minato's words, but her eyes remained trained to his blade until he sheathed it. It certainly was a quite impressive piece of cutlery. She had an eye for blades, for metalworks, and though the tanto had never really been her thing, she was quite taken with Nozu's sword.
She followed the path of the scar made in the landscape, splitting the plateau nearly completely, head tilting to get a better vantage point. "Oh, I was just picking up one of my blades and dropping off another. There's a smith closer to my house, but I like the one over here much better. Takes a bit longer to get my swords back, and it's double the walk here and back, but I just treat it like exercise...throw on my weights and get going." She grinned and held up her wrists, showing Nozu the colored beads around them, then also gesturing to her ankles.
She turned her attention back to the cut in the plateau, bringing a hand up to stroke her chin lightly with her fingers. "Show me the technique. I might be able to help you. If you want, that is." Though Ein didn't know a thing about molding chakra into an attack, really, she did know more than a thing about swinging a sword, and she knew about chakra concepts and theories. If she could get a feel for the technique, perhaps she could help to improve it. It was worth a try, that is, if the other Genin was up for a helping hand.

"I'll do you one better," said Nozu, stretching his arms out to the side as his fingers flapped, panning into the air. He'd been out here for a couple hours, by himself, and now that he had company he thought it'd be appropriate to take advantage of Ein's presence. They were teammates, after all.
"How about we have a bit of a spar?" he suggested, looking to her with his brow furrowing in curiosity. Patting off the specs of dirt that were on his pants, he waited for her response. "That way you can see the technique in its' entirety. So whaddya say?"

Ein's attention was still on the slice made in the plateau. She was discerning the angle, the depth, basically working the technique backward in her head. She could see it all, just from the aftermath of that slice. She could see the arc that the blade was swung in, she could see the strength with which the sword was swung. The only variable was the chakra. That was the one thing she could not recreate in her head.
But no matter. Nozu had just had a great idea. Now, she could get a feel for his kenjutsu as a whole, and not just based off one technique. And maybe even pick up a thing or two, herself. Ein smiled, nodding as she took her position. She first drew her favored wakizashi in her right hand, and then after a moment of thought, she then drew the longer, secondary sword in her left. Her nitōjutsu was a bit rusty, and would not get better idling. She could use this spar opportunity to hone the technique and work out any kinks from not having practiced it in a minute.
"Show me what you've got."

'Great. She said yes.' Gathering himself by taking a series of breathes, the green-eyed boy drew his tantō into his right hand. His stance was wide, which was quite peculiar considering the size of his weapon. Not that that mattered in Nozu's case, such disadvantages didn't really phase him. All of that was irrelevant now, though. His opening stance was simply a formality, a demonstration of his conditioning, which allowed him to get the blood flowing while deciphering whether or not he would be defending or attack duration the initial encounter of this affray.
It would appear that Ein gave Nozu the privilege that was the opening strike. With the gradual dissipation of his grin, his pools of green receded into the dull brown that was his natural eye color. This was just a spar, so there was no need to over exert himself by using his birthright. Not that it would be straining or anything, he just believed there was a time and place for everything.
"Here I come," he dipped low, taking off in a rush of speed. With his tantō already drawn he began his opening move by thrusting his tantō inward. Given the close proximity of his strike, and his frontal position, he'd see the movement of both of her swords. Fighting someone who used nitōjutsu was always such a tedious task while defending, although being on the offensive end of things also gave him a couple liberties he could exploit. Eyes focused on his task, and his sparring partner, his curiosity was more than apparent.

Ein watched Nozu closely, eyes narrowed slightly as she observed his movements, taking every opportunity to dissect his movements. She liked to take the defensive first in a sparring opportunity. Every battle was a learning opportunity, and by taking on the defensive, you gained the upper hand by forcing the opponent to expend their arsenal while not showing much of one's own.
And so as Nozu thrust forward, she could see the muscles in his arm twisting and flexing. She watched the motion of his thrust, the way he moved his feet, the arc of his midsection and the way that motion flowed up through the shoulder to his sword hand. She watched even more menial motions, like what his other hand was doing in the meantime, and the position of his head. All of these things, a swordsman did make. Each of them important to conserving energy, maximizing movement and power and reducing the chance for injury, both to oneself and by others.
Ein gracefully sidestepped Nozu's attack, bringing longsword up to deflect Nozus' blade with the flat side of her own. In a flash, her favored short sword would come from the right and above, pinning Nozu's tanto between the bladed edge of the top sword and the flat side of the bottom. Then she pushed off, shoving his sword with enough force to buckle him back at least a few steps and using that momentum to launch herself back a few body lengths.
Taking position again, she beckoned him with the outstretched sword, crouching a bit and gathering her strength and composure.

'That was the right way to block my attack,' smirked Nozu as his pearly whites began to show. Switching hands, his fingers wrapped around the bandages that covered the hilt as his left hand clenched tightly around the the small sword's shaft. A streak of light glistened off of the tantō's finish.
He rushed towards Ein with a pace akin to the speed he had in his previous offensive endeavor. Although, now that he wielded his tantō in his opposite hand, 1it would allow to swing his weapon until the metal of their clashing blades caused a spark. His brown eyes were able to peer into her face. What she would witness was the lack of hesitation to complete his follow-up movement. Sure, he had to slightly modify his usual attack for this situation but it would still be useful all the same.
He was anxious to see the look on her face as his fist swiftly swiped across the air, attempting a punch that would hit her in her upper chest region.
"Heh."
NOTES: 1QUICK STRIKE, MIDNIGHT STROKE ATTACK While on the offensive and attacking the target, the user will feign a low attack towards the target's abdomen. In actuality, this attack is a false-strike which is used to distract the opponent, leaving them open enough for the user to execute a jab at the target's facial region.

Ein caught Nozu's smirk and matched it with one of her own. There was a lot that could be said about Ein. A lot that could be said about her parentage. A lot that could be said about her clan. But there was one thing that could never be said:
That she was not a child of the sword.
She lived, breathed, ate and sweated kenjutsu. She had been swinging a sword since she was three. Wore her first piece of samurai armor at five. Learned to forge a blade at seven. She could recite her clan's history perfectly and from memory. Ein loved both her heritage and her destiny. That love was apparent once you got her out in the field.
Nozu blazed forth again, his blade in his opposite hand. Ein's analytical eyes broke down every aspect of the situation, from the way he held the sword, to his motion, step and pattern. Was he ambidextrous, or just looking to feint? Ein left both possibilities open in her mind as she prepared to defend. Her stance widened, bringing her form lower to the ground in an attempt to ground herself. Long blade came up in her right hand as she leveled the hilt with her head, the blade coming down diagonally to protect from face to ankles. She would meet Nozu's forward motion with a swift thrust forward with her short blade, herself, sweeping upward in a slicing action. It was mainly meant to ward him off...it would be hard to punch through such a blow, if not impossible.
Ein's forte was all defense. To wear her opponent down by forcing them to make all the moves, all the while conserving energy, herself.

EPISODE 1.5: EMBRACE OF THE SWORD 'She's all defense,' Nozu thought as he witnessed her defense, 'I could push forward to her side and take the blow from her long sword. That'd leave her open, but...
Pushing back, Nozu reeled his tantō backwards as he skidded back a couple feet- chakra began to bubble and form around the blade of his tantō.
'That won't work on her, her chakra is vicious.' Matatabi's voice chimed in sagely, within the white space within his mind the fire cat stood firmly. 'The presence of her chakra is slightly disorienting my own chakra flow. You will fail if you use that move.
'What are you talking about? That's not possible. Just watch!'
Ignorance is truly blissful. As he execute a mighty stroke with his blade cutting through the air, the chakra around his tantō began to dissipate after it was slashed forward. 'He was right. Kuso!' Yanking his arm back, his elbow reeled upward as he changed his hand position with a flick of his wrist.
The chakra that was still latching to the tantō's blade was propelled backwards- piercing into the plateau behind Nozu. A scar was left in the earthly wall.
"You're not too bad, Ecchan." Nozu said complimenting Ein, with a smile even. It was rare that he ever liked how other carried themselves in combat. "You're defensive is pretty powerful."

It was almost poetic. Ein wished that she could frame this moment in time and put it on her wall. There was not a time that she felt more in tune and more in harmony than when she was sparring. And she had never experienced a spar this...exhilarating. She had practiced with her parents, but that didn't have the same effect, since they taught her everything she knew. It was like sparring with a member of your own dojo: great for building skill, but terrible on the excitement scale because everything they did was so familiar and predictable. She had sparred with classmates at the Academy, but, not to sound like a bitch or anything, but most of them were nowhere near her level. It was like sparring with a sword balanced in the crook of a tree trunk.
No...this was raw. It was real. Nozu was good. He kept her on her toes. She didn't know his style, which made every move count. Everything was worth watching. She couldn't even analyze everything she needed to just because the style was so fluid that she had to watch his blade above all else, leaving little time to compile every other aspect of his swordsmanship. She could not have been more fortunate than to be placed on this team, with this boy. While others' minds might be tangled with the fact that he was the jinchuriki for the two-tailed cat, she was enthralled with his swordsmanship.
And would likely be for a long time.
She left her defense up as he fell back momentarily, seeming to pause to collect himself. She could see chakra beginning to subtly form round his blade, and smiled, holding her position. She would let him find out on his own what happened when he got too close with that action. She already had to wonder what Matatabi, being a chakra construct, herself, felt when he entered her destructive range. She wondered if it hurt the cat to be in the presence of her uncommonly aggressive energies, or if it was just mildly uncomfortable and inconvenient. Or if she even felt anything, at all. Admittedly, she knew very little outside the basics about biju. She did not even know of their sentience, or that they had names.
Nozu sliced, and must have noted the disappearance of the chakra almost immediately, as he yanked back, flinging any residual energy that managed to form again on the blade as it left the obligatory three-feet of space between them. The chakra rocketed backward, gouging an arc-like scar in the formation behind him. Her defense wavered a bit, and then dropped as Nozu spoke. The girl was absolutely flabbergasted. It was...a compliment. She received compliments often from adults, but that was like nothing to her. Adults often complimented kids for being able to do things that it would seem kids were usually not or should not be able to do. But to receive such a compliment from a peer...it brought immense pride into Ein's heart. He liked her defense. That aspect came from her mother's side. The Arisato were very patient when it came to the blade. Very slow, careful, analytical. Not that she didn't appreciate her father's expertise on the subject. But the Samurai had completely different focus altogether. The Arisato very much considered kenjutsu a respect-worthy artform. It was not wasteful or improper to draw out a battle on defense. They were not about quick or hard strikes. They were not about striking first. They were about making every movement count.
"T-thank you." she said humbly with a bow before entering her stance once more. "You're pretty good, yourself. This is honestly one of the first times I've had to think in a spar. You're really putting my mind to work, and for that, I thank you." Ein lowered herself, sucking in a deep breath. She would not be rushing the battle by taking an offense now. While she respected the Arisato view on kenjutsu, on the other hand, neither she nor Nozu likely wanted to be out here all day. And she had agreed to help him with whatever he needed help with, so she had sampled pretty much what she was going to get from his offense. Now to get a feel for his defense.
Ein pushed off with her right foot, lancing forward and drawing back with the blade in her right hand. This would be a quick thrust forward, then darting back as she stepped with her left foot, pirouetting off of it to bring the longer blade in her left hand up for a sweeping diagonal arc. The purpose of the thrust was to force her opponent back to just out of its range, just far enough to slice shallowly with the longer reach of the opposite sword. Something of a fake-out move that she had developed over time. The kunoichi was light on her feet, laser-focused.

EPISODE 1.5: EMBRACE OF THE SWORD To be completely honest, Nozu momentarily lost interest in the technique he was working on. He had just attempted to utilize it, but due to whatever anomaly Ein possessed that utterly thwarted the very presence of his chakra, he was unable to properly wield it. Instead, he'd become more focused on the spar. Things were getting heated up- he was thankful that he was already stretched and limber, because otherwise his movement would've been that much stiff. Not that that mattered much to him ever; truth be told, he would've participated in this spar no matter what. Nozu was always interested in Ein's abilities, he'd heard rumors about her parents and their abilities. These rumors made him wonder, since the day he heard them, just how talented Ein was... and now he knew. She was talented, no doubt. Whoever she learned from surly did a grand job, unless her current prowess was a result of her own developments- in which case, he would be even more impressed.
As she thanked him, he nodded his noggin with a grin glued to his mug. It was a slight grin, but a grin all the same. Spreading his legs, he opened up his guard and little as he continued to wield his tantō in his left hand.
Also- in case Ein was curious, in these next oncoming moments she would discover that Nozu was actually ambidextrous. correspondingly, the feint her performed earlier could've been executed with either hand- though, this just a side note.
Monitoring his breathing, he read her movements without much trouble. Deciding to make things interesting, he executed a parry for her thrust by using his own blade to push her's outward and down- he also ducked down low, while also slightly stepping out of the path of her smaller blade as he'd executed his parry. The wakazashi would be forced into a dead-lock with his tantō. It was her follow-up attack that was rather trouble to stop. Luckily, Nozu was good with working with what he had- which, in this case, was his hand.
'One... two...' he counted the timing of her crescent strike, before he could count to three he acted. With a speed that could be considered surprising, reached forth and grabbed Ein wrist before she could bring her second weapon up for execute her strike. As a result, he received a wound. The tip of the second wakazashi vaguely sliced into his side- it was nothing serious, but his shirt was cut and blood was drawn.
He could've just dodged to the right after stopping the smaller wakazashi, but that wasn't good enough for him. He wasn't afraid to take a little damage- real warriors, like the Yotsuki, whose blood flowed through his veins- along with the Yoippari- were not afraid to take a blow or two if it meant they could counterattack. Which, in this case, it did.
Jolting his foot upward, his left foot would press deep into Ein's chest and force her backwards. He would take this time to switch hands with his tantō. His grin grew into a smirk as he took his stance once again.

Ein's blade was pressed downward, and she braced against the pressure, preparing to round with her other blade. This was arguably one of the greatest days of her life. This spar was one for the history books. The way he moved...it was almost as if he was reading her movements. Like he was anticipating what she would do. For most, that feeling would be frustrating. Mostly for those who were aiming to win. But the big W was not what was in Ein's sights. No...she just wanted to go. Just wanted to fight.
Her crescent strike would only be halfway successful. She felt that satisfying charge up her hilt of the blade meeting a resistance as minimal even as clothing. Blade sliced shirt and sheared skin before her wrist was grabbed and the strike snuffed out. The breath momentarily left her lungs as his leg came up into her chest, harmless for the most part but still forceful as she was forced backward. This little setback would not deter her, though. Sliding on the soles of her shoes, she dug the tip of her longer blade into the ground to halt her backward motion. Allowing her momentum to gather in the blade, it strained backward before snapping her forward like a slingshot. Searing just above the ground, Ein would shoot forth with an equally surprising speed, only taking a single step to propel herself forward further. Coming down on that leg, she stayed low, bringing her blade around to slash at Nozu's ankles. The motion wouldn't stop, however, as she shifted forward on the opposite foot and rocketed forward into a leg sweep. This motion would repeat with opposite legs and sword arms, forcing Nozu back.
Her objective was to trip him up, hopefully to open his guard for a connect.

EPISODE 1.5: EMBRACE OF THE SWORD His body began to slowly heal where he was wounded, Nozu could feel himself recovering. Being a jinchūriki was great, although some people were assholes to you, but other than that were more pros than cons.
'She's pretty quick on her feet too,' he noticed as he took the time to adjust to her recoil and counter maneuvers. In a matter of moments he was forced backwards, moving swiftly and cautiously, he managed not to flinch although he slipped up and lost his balance briefly.
"Applause," a voice interjected, in a plume of smoke, standing between the two Genin was there bushy haired sensei. "You two were having quite the spar. Sorry to interrupt, but I need you two to get prepped for a mission."
"Nani!" exclaimed Nozu, "It was just getting interesting!"
"I agree, but doing your job comes first." Kazama said, "Now, be quick. Return home and get your gear and meet me in front of the Kage's manor in an hour."

She continued her assault, watching that foot movement carefully. Watching for that stutter, that shuffle, anything that would tip her off. And there it was! Foot took a little longer to hit the ground than it previously had, and Ein took that moment to rise, leaping and going into a spin. But the plume of smoke and the arrival of their sensei would halt that spin, Ein landing on the ground and twirling, kicking up a plume of dirt.
"Oh, hey!" she said exuberantly, sheathing both her blades. Looks like their spar was over for the moment. Though she had him on the ropes! As the new arrival spoke, Ein happened to catch a glance of her victory wound on Nozu. Besides the sliced shirt, the skin peeking out seemed to have healed for the most part. Whoa... she thought to herself. That's amazing...wish I could do that....
But the mention of the word 'mission' would snap her out of her own thoughts and back to reality. He would barely have the sentence completed before Ein was off and running toward home to shower, change, grab her shinobi gear and to meet up back in front of the manor. "Good spar, Noz! Catch you in an hour!" she called, racing over the path so fast that in moments, she would barely be visible.

EPISODE 1.5: EMBRACE OF THE SWORD He stared blank at Kazama for a few moments before finally walking away. "See ya," he replied back to Ein as he trekked off. Lost at thought, he took this time to reflect; although he'd never admit it aloud, he felt as though he was bested by Ein. Technically he was because she wounded him, even though it healed that didn't mean that it didn't happen. "She's an amazing swordsman- er, swordswoman, I should say." Glancing up towards the clouds, he grinned. "I'll definitely have to go all out next time we spar. I want to see what she can really do."
The time flew by. Sitting at the counter, chowing down on the lunch that his mom prepared for him, Nozu was on hiss fourth plate by the time 12: 40 PM came along. "Nono-chann~" his mother cooed from the laundry room, "Isn't it time for you to meet up with your sensei and your teammates? You should take off now so that way you won't be late, sweety." "Nehh--I don't feel like leaving yet, I'll go in ten min--- !!" A flop-flip sliced across the air like a dagger. Nozu barely evaded. "No," she yelled, glaring down the hallway. In a cartoon-ish effect, every light in the house went black except the two streaks of red that beamed from her eyes. "You will leave now and you will not be late!!" "Hai..." he sighed a whimper-ish sigh before standing up and walking towards the door. As he did so, the lighting returned to normal. "Bye Honey~" his mother cooed once again, blowing kisses. "I love yooouuuu, Nono-chan~" "I...love you too...mom. " |

The majority of the morning was spent in relative silence. Or rather, as much silence as Nū was ever allotted. Of all his "friends" the Twins were the ones that never seemed to want to leave his side. They bounced around his room in what he could only assume was some game of tag, phasing through the walls and floor like spirits. Slipping into his black sweater he walked over to his mirror and just looked at himself. His stoic expression just would not do. After all, this was his first day back on active duty since he got out of the psych ward.
The Twins ended their little game of tag and shrunk down to the size of action figures before perching on his shoulders. They each pushed the edges of his lips upwards in a forced smile, attempting to get him to replicate their devious grins.
Smile! Smile! one of them said while the other just snickered.
"C'mon, guys," Nū said with a light laugh. The Twins then turned their attention towards the door and disappeared in a black swirl.
"Who are you talking to, Nū-kun?" his mother said as she entered the room, concern clearly evident in her tone and expression.
"Oh," Nū said sheepishly as he turned to face the woman. "It's my first time meeting this new team. I was…practicing," he lied, adverting his eyes to sell his faux embarrassment. The last thing he needed was for more people thinking he was crazy. He was so sick of white rooms, pills, therapists, and apple sauce.
"You'll do fine," she said with a soft smile and gave him a little hug before handing him his hitai-ate. "Now run along. You don't want to be late."
"Hai, hai!" he said with gusto and grabbed his scarf before speeding out of the house.
"Wait! Are you sure," his mother said before her voice trailed off. Gripping the edges of her shirt tightly she fought back a tear. She had hoped that he would have gotten better in this time. Socially he seemed fine, but when he grabbed that scarf it was clear that he was still holding onto his demons. Clinging onto the only item left of his former sensei: the scarf still stained red with his blood.

Ein was only in the house for what had to be about ten minutes. One foot in the door and her backup blade was flung into her room, onto the bed. Two steps later, Ein entered the room, grabbing clothes, changing shirt and pants. She grabbed her headband, tying it to the belt that held her scabbards. Her usual wakizashi took the place on her right hip. And as per usual, Ein chose to go the partial route with her Samurai armor, strapping her metal chest plate over her flak jacket and her gauntlet to her right arm.
Her mother barely knew she was in the house before she was gone again, and found herself shouting "Hello" to a freshly shut door.
Ein arrived only moments after her teammates, walking up to where they waited. She raised her metal-covered hand in greeting, smiling brightly.

EPISODE 1.5: EMBRACE OF THE SWORD It was always surprising to see how prompt Nozu could be when given the proper motivation. He even amazed himself sometimes, which is something he realized while trudging up to the trail that led to the Raikage's Manor.
All equipped with his general ninja inventory, a fully stocked back pouch filled with kunai and shuriken, along with a few other useful tools. Other than that, he had his usual attire on and was eager to do whatever they were gathered to do.
As soon as shis destination was visible he could see Ein and some vaguely familiar, but eccentric-looking kid strolling up. Gripping the straps on his backpack he uttered a scoff-like noise.
"Sup Ein?" he said greeting her with a smile-grin, before unconventional thumbing over at the scarfed blonde haired boy. "Who's the whelp?" His tone was intruding, in a way, but that was honestly not the way Nozu intended on sounding. He just came off that way, sometimes his wording is a little brash and could easily be misinterpreted.
Only a moment after he offered his inquiry, he strutted over to face the blonde himself. N not really leaving either of the others any room to speak--
"Oi," his voice beckoned for attention. Kneeling forward with his shoed foot pressed against the wood of the bench that would obviously be there (because that makes sense), he glared over at the kid inquisitively. "Why do you look so familiar? Were you one of those kids they have on the back of the milk cartons?"
