Shinobi || Genin
Look what I can do, Naoto!
Information || Uchiha Shinji
Full Name: Shinji Uchiha [True Second Son] Alias: Osanago [Little Child] Age: 12 Gender: Male Country: Hi no Kuni [Land of Fire] Village: Konohagakure no Sato [Hidden Leaf Village] Rank: Genin Relatives: Uchiha Clan
Persona || "Just like Naoto!"
Shinji's number one role model is his cousin Naoto. But unlike his cousin Naoto, Shinji works very hard on any task put before him. Though Shinji admires everything about Naoto down to the very breath, he tries his hardest on tasks just to try to receive acknowledgment from Naoto. Though he is only a year younger than Naoto, Shinji looks up to his older cousin as if he were a god due to the fact that Naoto was like his guardian for five years while their parents were at war. Because of this, when he is around Naoto, he seems to imitate Naoto's immature and lazy attitude and sometimes even Naoto's actions. Being around his cousin a lot, Shinji has acquired the same impatience that runs through Naoto's veins but is not as "cold" as Naoto in the form that he is nice to everyone he meets and tends to make friends with everyone he meets and fast.
One attribute that Shinji and Naoto share is their loyalty and generosity to those they truly feel they can rely on. Though Shinji admires his cousin a lot, he also has his own personal traits that differentiate him from his cousin. One of them being that Shinji is very loud and out going. He loves doing tasks that challenge him. To him, training, getting stronger, and doing strenuous activities just make him closer to being as strong as his cousin. Though Shinji is not royalty and is not heir to the throne, he does not envy Naoto in any way shape or form, nor does his dislike him. To him, Naoto deserves it and is more prepared than he is. He holds no grudge that he was born into a different family as Naoto and is Naoto's little cousin.... in fact, he quite likes it and prefers it that way especially since that meant he didn't have to go through his aunt's torture.

History || November 2
Growing up would have been really difficult for Shinji if he was older or born earlier. Shinji was born to Shindou and Kyoumei Uchiha. Shinji's family was a big bowl of chaos. His dad was known as one of the Uchiha's most skilled shinobi and was Shigeru's (Clan Leader's Husband) brother. But he saw Shigeru as weak and strongly disliked Suzumi to the point where he couldn't stand being around her. But the fight didn't get passed down through his genes and therefore Shinji frequently went over to his favorite cousin, Naoto's house and barely ever spent any time with his family. But Naoto's family wasn't much different. Naoto's mother Suzumi, head of the Uchiha Clan, was in a sense, psychotic and she physically and mentally abused everyone in the household.
When they had their first child, Shinji's eldest cousin Nanami, Suzumi set high standards for the young heiress and like a good child and heiress should, Nanami tried to live up to them. And as she was growing up, she witnessed her father's abuse at its worse; to the point where it became physical. Five years later, Naoto was born. Naoto was born at a luckier time, when the war was reaching its climax and shinobi demand was high, therefore Suzumi was gone most of the time and Naoto didn't witness as much abuse as his sister did. And one year later, Shinji was born and took a liking to Naoto, even while young. Shinji never really wondered why but most of the time when he went over to Naoto's house and his aunt was home, he was told Naoto was sent to his Hyuga friend's house and Naoto's house seemed vacant.
As the years passed, Shinji started to hang out with Naoto more and more and started seeing his cousin Nanami less and less. While Shinji did not know what was going on in his cousin's household, all he knew was that he was able to spend time with his favorite cousin Naoto... for the time being. Eventually word got out and Shinji overheard his parent talking about Nanami's suicide. Already having a dislike for Suzumi, his dad blamed it on her. But the truth was that being too young to protect herself from her mother's abuse, Nanami reacted to the abuse in other ways such as not eating, becoming silent, and even losing her loving persona to the point where she failed her graduation exam. That same night, Nanami killed herself.
Being too young to really comprehend what was going on in that household, Shinji did not know much about why his cousin committed suicide and how evil his aunt really was. Though his aunt did seem a little "off" at times, and his parents warned him about Naoto's family, Shinji just overlooked it as she was having a bad day. But Suzumi's state worsened after the death of her daughter. Now that Nanami was dead, Naoto was next in line. Unfortunately for him, he would now undergo Suzumi's brutal training. This was when Shinji started noticing his aunt's illness and the cruelty it brought with it. Usually when he went to play with Naoto, and his aunt Suzumi was home, Naoto would either play with him in a different location or Naoto would be at his Hyuga friend's house.
But all that changed when Naoto started training under his mother. It came to the point where Shinji went over less and less due to his parents completely forbidding him or his uncle telling him that today wasn't a good day. And though Shinji mentally questioned this, he never did aloud and just returned home. Naoto was restricted from going the Hyuga Ichizoku and spent most of his time training with his mom which restricted Shinji from seeing him at any time as well. Naoto prospered faster than Nanami which made Shinji admire him more. Not to mention that he went through with Suzumi's training without killing himself or dying.
Naoto learned Gokakyuu no Jutsu at a young age and was recognized as an adult due to his training under his mom which only made Shinji's admiration for him grow. But either way, he was still subject to Suzumi's cruelty. When Shinji was about eight, his parents and Naoto's parents were called to the war, leaving Naoto and Shinji to spend more time together. And for five years, Shinji spent days and nights at Naoto's house which made Naoto and Shinji really grow close. Watching Naoto do things such as train made Shinji want to be more and more like him. When Naoto did things, Shinji would try to do the same thing not only to try to be like Naoto, but also to become a better shinobi and try to attain Naoto's skill level.
The next five years of their lives were different than anything they ever experienced. Due to Naoto's ability to learn Gokakyuu no Jutsu, he was already seen as above average and he was rushed into being a genin. While Naoto was out on his genin duties, Shinji continued to try to be like Naoto, practicing learning Gokakyuu no Jutsu. The year after Naoto, Shinji was also rushed into becoming a genin. But unlike Naoto, Shinji was forced to make friends and didn't know any of his classmates, having graduated before the average ones that he was used to seeing. People expected Shinji to be as great as his cousin since they were always together and Shinji was up to the task, trying to complete things just as Naoto had.
This earned him a spot at the top of his class along with two other genin that were rushed to the rank. Being seen as the best candidates to become a well-rounded team, they were assembled together and were placed on a team with a veteran Jonin. Believing that under the Jonin's care, they should be okay, they were sent on strict missions with the only objective being to retrieve information. But little did they know that they had mistakenly been sent into a trap. A nukenin that was trying to retrieve information to bribe some villages into giving him money was on the same mission and seeing as they met paths with the same objective, conflict was bound to occur.
The nukenin was a taijutsu specialist that used his ninjutsu to accompany his speed. Warning the genin to get back, the Jonin went to handle the nukenin. Worried, Shinji stood near by and carefully watched and observed the battle. At Jonin level, they were moving so quick that Shinji could not tell what was going on. It seemed as if the two were evenly matched. This worried Shinji as he got closer to the battle, ready to defend or aid the Jonin. After several minutes of fighting, things started slowing down by fragments of a second, then by seconds. Eventually, Shinji started seeing the movements before they were happening. After he was close enough, Shinji caught the nukenin's attention.
Seeing Shinji, the nukenin took his chance at the opening and threw a kunai at Shinji and then dashed at him. Seeing the attack before it happened, Shinji pulled out a kunai and blocked the kunai. Then, without thinking, Shinji let his body act on its own as he saw the nukenin appearing behind him, he turned and stuck the kunai into his neck. As the man dropped dead, Shinji just turned to his Jonin and apologized, claiming that he didn't mean to interfere. After speaking, the Jonin notified him that it was okay and that he did good. Approaching Shinji, the Jonin looked into Shinji's eyes seeing the two tomoe sharingan, just before Shinji collapsed.
Seeing that Shinji used too much chakra and used the sharingan too much, the Jonin gathered the intel and they returned to the village. After passing out, all Shinji remembers is waking up at the hospital. Scared of what would befall him, since he saw the training Nanami and Naoto were put through, Shinji did not let anyone know about his sharingan but would practice with it and train secretly. Eventually, the war ended with both his and Naoto's parents returning alive with his even more famous aunt hospitalized and his uncle a Jonin who would also attended to Suzumi's duties while she was out of commission. This made things different now as Shinji was allowed more and more into Naoto's family residence and their families started growing closer again, making his and Naoto's bond only grow stronger.
Shinobi Equipment || Weapons/Items
Basic Shinobi Equipment: Kunais, Shurikens, Scrolls, Flak Vests, Flash Bombs, Smoke Bombs, Exploding Kunais, Exploding Notes, Exploding Pouches, Soldier Pills, Makibishis, Poison Bombs, and Wires.
Kunai Horusuta Kunai Holster These kunai holsters hold one kunai each and are located on the inside (bottom) of Shinji's sleeves. He has three in each sleeve, one of them having a long thin rope attached to it and an explosive note wrapped around the hilt (but the note is not visible due to them being below the bandages that are wrapped around the hilt of all kunai). These holsters make is easier, faster and more efficient for Shinji to attain his kunai. Though he has more kunai in his pouch, these can be attained with little movement such as the flick of a wrist.
Kyouki Pleasant Surprise Kyouki is the name Uchiha Shinji gave to his sword after Naoto bought it for him and claimed he did not know that Shinji was good with a sword. Kyouki is a straight, single-edged hacking sword. The design of Kyouki allows it's fine edge to cut through almost anything. Kyouki is a black sword with a steel edge. The handle is white with a black, single line running down the middle, much like the sheath, and sports the Uchiha Clan symbol in center of the handle.
Shinobi Techniques || Jutsu
Bloodlimit: Uchiha Clan Kekkei Genkai Sharingan [Copying-wheel eye] The Sharingan is the bloodline inheritance of the Uchiha clan. It gives the clan member the ability to copy and read the three ninja arts [Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and Genjutsu]. As such the Uchiha can see a technique being performed then almost instantly memorize the movements to complete it. Once it has been seen by the Sharingan the users are able to replicate it. The only requirements are that they have the physical aptitude/chakra necessary and the technique being viewed is not another person's kekkei genkai. The sharingan is not available from birth but rather is unlocked by a traumatic experience [usually in battle] and goes through three stages of evolution, each stage characterized by the addition of a tomoe in each eye.
Two tomoe can track the movement of an opponent and copy their attacks. At this level the sharingan also gains the ability to pierce Genjutsu and see the surrounding reality as well as an opponents body to see the ebb and flow of their chakra supply. This allows a skilled clan member to tell when someone is trapped in an illusion and distinguish bunshin from a real person. Three tomoe lets the Uchiha see an image of the target's next move based on the muscle tension in their body as well as cast genjutsu and hypnosis via eye contact.
