PERSONAL
NAME: Yorumon Banana
AGE: Thirty-two
GENDER: Male
DATE OF BIRTH: 9/17
RELATIVES: Yorumon Ichizoku
SEMBLANCE: Being in his prime, Banana can be considered the standard of youth and ability. Banana is an extremely toned man, a by product of the intense regimen of training he subjects himself to. He stands at average height, and has a corresponding weight. He is, oddly enough, known for his amazingly smooth skin within his village and silken hair. Typically, Banana is seen wearing the standard Jōnin uniform of the village and his Tsuchikage haori over it, the hat fastened to the back by a string tied diagonally over his torso. Otherwise, he sports a red shirt and beige khaki shorts in addition to standard issue sandals and headband.
Banana is known, aside from his hair and skin, for his rare smile. His smile is so "radiant" as some would describe it that it can erect mountains, inspire morale and even instill some of his own strength into others.
HEIGHT: 182CM WEIGHT: 70KG EYES: GREEN HAIR: BLACK
PERSONALITY: If anything can describe Banana, it can quite simply be vulgar. He doesn't respect much authority other than those who proven their power to him, and for that reason, can be seen as disrespectful. Additionally, he finds ninja life to be tedious, and is not very fond of it, however, carries on such activity for the betterment of his village. Many question his dedication and position as Tsuchikage given his position on ninja life, and Banana quite simply fails to care. He thinks to little of people who aren't brave enough to speak their mind directly to him, and therefore brushes off most criticism of his leadership.
Aside from this, Banana is a closet optimist. He refuses to admit it to most people, but he only accepted the job as Tsuchikage because of his love for the nation and it's people and his overall desire to lead them into good times. From this notion has evolved his smile which is said to keep his people going in dark times. He takes great interest in the happenings of the village on even a small scale. While he may appear to be hard and callused, he is, deep down, caring and considerate.
Banana is also quite the playboy. He enjoys spending time chasing after women, sweet taking them and getting to know them. He isn't, however, a whore. Banana has never been documented to be in a serious relationship with a woman, and to the eye of the public, simply appears to be a harmless pervert or simply a hopeless romantic with absolutely no game.
Banana likes to study calligraphy, and in fact, has whole volumes of practiced works, some filled with pages upon pages of the same character being honed to perfection. As such, he enjoys to read books about calligraphy amongst other novels, particularly horror novels and while he refuses to admit it, smut. He loves the flavors of nearly all fruits, but is a particular fan of grapefruits and tomatoes. He enjoys vanilla milkshakes and dango. He refuses to drink tea which is cold or any sort of temperature aside from hot. His favorite dish by far is tempura chicken with rice waffles in maple-wasabi sauce with sweet radish salad.
BACKGROUND: Where is home? Where did I come from?
An infant was adopted on one fateful night in Iwagakure. The child had literally been left in the middle of the road, rickshaws and people walked around it, some not even noticing it was there. With the exception of one man who spotted the child as soon as he stepped onto the street. He took him away, going completely unnoticed. No one cared that this one boy with a small basket of bananas was laying in the middle of the road. He was none of their concern. And why would he be? Well... when they learned that he was one of their strongest shinobi... maybe then they would care.
As seen, Banana was very fond of... bananas. As a child, he ate them with almost every meal. People sometimes referred to him as a monkey when he would sling a whole bunch of them over his shoulder. He smelled like bananas. He ate bananas so much, his breath smelled like them nearly all hours of the day. It was where his adoptive father would derive his name. Rezubi, his adoptive father named him after his favorite food, Banana. Thus, Bananaden had begun.
Banana was always a rowdy child, found usually running about his father's estate, and getting into trouble. He was particularly fond of playing in his father's armory, a room lost in time, reminiscent of his father's golden days, where the Yorumon clan was revered throughout Tsuchi no Kuni. Banana would usually pretend to be a warrior in the war that was being waged--the life of war, of ninja was usually what he aspired to live. It was glamorous for him.
Being so excited to become a shinobi, Banana rejoiced when he joined the Ninja Academy. He was attentive in all of his classes, a great surprise to all given his rambunctious nature. Even more surprising was his natural inclination to do well, especially in Taijutsu where he was the top ranking student, and even thought to be better than some of the older students. He graduated at the typical age of twelve, fulfilling a dream he'd given to himself at the age of four.
He was placed under the tutelage of a former student of the man who he called a father. The man, a veteran of the just-concluded first war, was very strict and despite a connection to Banana, was outstandingly hard on him. Banana's team rarely spent time at home, and instead was made to constantly go on missions. It was Banana's sensei's way of showing them the true lifestyle of a ninja living in a wartime era. Banana of course, loved this rigorous workload, and in his missions, was inspired with how the help of shinobi could bolster the fledgling morale of his entire nation.
Banana ascended to the rank of Chūnin at the age of fifteen, ascending with the recognition of his village for his amazing contribution to the village and war-torn nation. Leaving his team allowed him to devote himself to his own training, furthering a new concentration in Taijutsu with the Hijutsu shown to him by his adoptive father.
As time passed on, Banana found himself as a warden within the prison of Iwagakure, Central 00 and a Jōnin. By the time he'd become twenty, he was named a Warden, a testament to the level of reverence for his abilities as a guard of order within the prison. However, a steady job only can last so long, especially in a world as charged as he lived in. The political climate never cooled after the armistice of the first war. Feeling slighted by the booming economy of the Fire Nation, Iwagakure allied with Amegakure and readied its ninja for war. Banana, one of the most skilled of the wardens, was called to be the lead detail to the Daimyō.
War was no easy thing to acclimate himself to. The sounds of death and sights of blood ran through his dreams; what stuck the most, however, was the nations way of instigating the war. He grew disillusioned with his profession, now seen by him to be instruments of war. Ironically, he never stepped down from his position in the war and continued to fight. Despite his own opinions, he saw a greater purpose for his profession. Despite how terrible his actions were, he still had to do them for the sake of his nation--the innocents of his nation.
By two years in, Iwagakure was already obviously on the losing end. With the opposing forces drawing closer and tensions drawing higher, Banana took it upon himself to tighten his defense of the Daimyō, the spirit of the nation. The war raged on, and Iwa's ultimate fate in the affair would be decided in the Battle of the Seventh Plateau in which the Shodai Tsuchikage lost his life, a combination of weakness due to age and the incredible force of the Leaf Village.
The Earth Country's Daimyō pulled his nation from war and into an isolationist time; a time to reconsider the agenda of the nation and decide who would be the next leader of his village. The pool of candidates ultimately fell between two men. Inido Ginpatsu and Banana. While Ginpatsu had experience on his side, he was torn by experiencing two wars, and generally disconnected from the population. On the other hand, Banana had the love of his people, was, despite being a realist, a needed opinion when the forecast was optimistic. All this in addition to the skill he displayed as the man's personal detail.
The choice was simply. Banana was named Nidaime Tsuchikage.
He took the seat willingly, putting the people's need for a new hope and a leader before his disillusionment. He took quick steps to aid the war's ending and at the meeting for the armistice, was a benefactor for the ratification of the preposition. It's been little time since then, and he continues to make moves to restore Iwagakure's name and bring the village into an era of good times. TACTICAL
