PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Tan is almost six feet tall and weighs roughly one hundred and seventy pounds. He is highly athletic and has a muscular build to his body. He has brown eyes and black hair, and unnaturally pointed ears.
MENTALITY: Tan a calm, quiet, and professional. He abides by his duties as a man and as a shinobi whenever he is called upon. When on his own, Tan enjoys training and lounging around. He can be overly bossy and irritable at times, but is otherwise generally neutral.
BIOGRAPHY: Tan was born in Iwagakure no Sato. He was raised with a good life and loving parents. There was hardly ever a problem at home or, when he enrolled, the Ninja Academy. His marks were above average and he showed himself to be a diligent worker. When he neared the end of his time at the Ninja Academy, Tan was gifted with his first real tantō by his mother.
When Tan passed his final examination in the Ninja Academy and became an official shinobi of the Hidden Rock, he was grouped with two other Genin and a Jōnin Sensei. He was instructed equally in ninjutsu and taijutsu, although Tan was partial to taijutsu. He quickly became an exceptional fighter, and achieved the most attention from his Jōnin Sensei.
After a handful of years as a Genin, Tan became comfortable in the life of a shinobi. He exhibited exceptional leadership capabilities with his team, yet still took directino from his superiors without incident. Although Tan never participated in the Chūnin Exams, the call for war granted him a special promotion. The Hidden Rock was in need of Chūnin, and Tan became one of the many to accept the responsibility. he was separated from his original team and became the squad leader of an ambush squad.
Tan's participation in the Second Great Shinobi War was the most significant experience in his life. What he remembered most about the war was all of the sounds he heard; the sounds of combat and death that overtook the majority of the war, and then the sounds of joy for each small victory. Tan's very survival, and the survival of his squad, was a testament to the many victories he achieved during the war.
When the war was over, Tan was recognized for his exceptional service to his village. He accepted his recognition humbly and settled back in to life outside of war.
