Hokuma Training Weights
These are basic training weights in the form of bangles around the wrists, calves and waist of the user. Each are proportionately six times the weight of that particular limb. Over time, the user gets used to the weight and simply moves as if normal. The weights increase the mass of a person, and allow the person to strike much harder with Taijutsu techniques than usual. They are also much harder to toss around.
The weights themselves can be used to deflect metallic missiles such as shuriken or kunai. When taken off, the user attains a faster movement speed up to twice as quick as they were previously, although they lose the physical power. The release is triggered by a button mechanism on each bangle.
Kunai Chain.
A simple chain attached to a kunai and to the wrist of a user. It allows he user to impale a target and withdraw their weapon from an enemy. The chain is approximately ten meters in length, and tough enough to withstand being cut by steel. The kunai at the end of the chain has miniature hooks which imbed against an enemy's flesh, which allows the user to impale and grapple onto an enemy.
TECHNIQUES
HOKUMA STYLE MARTIAL ARTS | TAIJUTSU STYLE
Focusing on intense, quick muscle bursts and body movements, Hokuma-ryu is based on extreme physical conditioning and applying a rigorous set of techniques that aim to amplify the strike of each individual blow. The movements and techniques are centered around "burst speed", a method of movement in which the user shifts from a stable stance into an incredibly quick and violent blow, usually as a counter or as an immediate attack. A specific regiment of training must be utilized in order for the user's muscles of Hokuma-ryu, since the style's techniques have a tendency to tear down tissue or dislocate bones a user's body without proper conditioning. Hokuma-ryu practitioners also use training weights to improve their conditioning as well as adding force to their strikes. Their muscles are trained to not break down or stress under the use of weights.
HOKUMA-RYŪ: SANPŌZENSHUN | THREE STEP INSTANT ENTRY
The user must go through Hokuma-ryu's muscular conditioning in order to utilize this technique. The rapid fire response of the muscles trained must be trained so that the practitioner can use this technique in full effect. The user uses the first step to move in the desired direction, the second step is utilized to accelerate and the third step is used as a lunge, accelerating the person's speed to faster-than-eye speeds. The three steps are used in succession so fast that the user may appear still one moment and disappear the next. This technique cannot be used with training weights.

HOKUMA-RYŪ: SEICHŪSENMETSU | MEDIAN LINE DESTRUCTION
Three blindingly fast strikes (enough to be considered as one) are delivered to a person's median line. The strikes can be utilized by a single hand or both. The frst punch serves as a shockwave, and reduces the resistance of a target's body. The second is utilized to ensure there is little to no resistance left, and the third strike is an intense punch that will send all force directly into the target's organs, destroying a majority of the median line. The use of training weights can amplify the strength of this technique.

HOKUMA-RYŪ: IPPATSU HŌGEKI | ONE SHOT BARRELING STRIKE
A destructive strike with either the leg or the arm using the core muscles to deliver intense physical power. The core's burst speed, coupled with the striking power of the limb, sends the target flying backwards with enough force to crater a wall.

HOKUMA-RYŪ: SOGEKI KUNAI | SNIPER THROWING KNIFE
A kunai throwing technique specific to the Hokuma-ryu practitioners. The user propels a kunai with excessive force, enough for it to punch straight through a person's body. The speed at which this technique is used is five times faster than that of an average kunai, and faster than the eye can see.
