影縛りの術, Kage Shibari no Jutsu Unranked This technique is a precursor to the Nara's Kagemane no Jutsu. After forming the necessary hand seal, the Nara can manipulate her shadow and connect it with another person's, whether directly or by traveling through pre-existing shadows. Upon connection, the Nara's shadow paralyzes the victim for as long as the Nara has at least one part of their body connected with their own shadow. The range of this technique is determined by light available, length of the Nara's shadow, and whether or not any pre-existing shadows are nearby to lengthen the Nara's.
影真似の術, Kagemane no Jutsu Unranked Kagemane no Jutsu allows the user to extend their shadow for as far as it has sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. Therefore, the two can throw shuriken at each other at the same time if the user desires that (of course, to prevent hurting themselves, the user just has to have the shuriken holster in a place where you don't normally have it, like the back, so that the opponent draws nothing when the user draws a shuriken). If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on preexisting shadows for their shadow to freely travel through. It's also possible to split one's shadow, either to trap more opponents at once, or to create a distraction. The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use repeatedly. If the user is low on chakra, the performance rate of the technique also deteriorates. Insufficient lighting will make the technique less effective. A particularly strong opponent can also resist the shadow's forced imitation.
影首縛りの術, Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu Unranked After capturing an opponent with Kagemane no Jutsu, the user can then further extend their shadow up to the target's throat in the shape of a hand, which chokes them to death. Also, if the Shadow Imitation Technique isn't making the opponent copy their movements, this can be used to bind opponent's body in order to restrain them. The closer the user is to their opponent, the tighter the strangle will become. This technique cannot be used for an extended period of time and weakens with each passing minute. Light is a direct factor in this jutsu. It seems to make the strength of the bind stronger, though has no known effect on the duration of the bind.

Kage Hiretsukan (Shadow Boots) Unique; Defensive/OffensiveThese boots were a birthday present for Rika, which she received the week after the war ended. While for any other clan wearing boots with a heel into combat would be strange, for a Nara it is practical: the taller the Nara, the longer their shadow, the longer their reach. The boots have a three inch heel, boosting Rika's height and in turn, lengthening her shadow. The outside is strengthened with a durable plastic-like resin that has a unique reaction to the application of chakra: when Chakra Flow is used to flow chakra through the boots and, in turn, the coating, the coating reacts to Rika's chakra and produces light. The strange arrangement at the back of the boot also has a purpose: the low positioning of the boots means that when the resin reacts to chakra and produces light, the arrangement casts a long shadow that works well for the use of Nara clan jutsu.
