He is a man who lives solely by the way of the Samurai. whilst being rather quiet he is not incapable of engaging in an intelligent conversation. He prefers only intelligent conversations however, and will not stand for immaturity nor ignorance. His favorite pastime is picking herbs and making herbal teas out of them. He is a seemingly emotionless, stern and cold man from his outer appearance, and he tends to try and keep up his outer appearance as best as possible when not around his closest friends. In reality he is a very compassionate man.
BIOGRAPHY: Tamotsu was born in a small country just outside of Tetsu no Kuni. He lived there for the first ten years of his life with his mother and father. It was a peaceful country, but rather poor. They had no means of military protection and were constantly under the influence of mercenaries and crime lords. Tamotsu was born into difficult times in which the shinobi nations were just beginning to form. For a short time there was a small shinobi village in his country, and at a young age he went on to become a shinobi at the academy. He graduated at the age of ten and at this point in time his village was attacked by a band of Nukenin who slaughtered everyone. The only people left were a handful of vagrants, children, himself and his younger brother. His parents had been brutally murdered. The Nukenin proceeded to ransack the entire country leaving it as nothing but mere ruble and smoldering ashes. At this time the small country was "saved" by the Samurai of the neighboring Tetsu no Kuni. The country was annexed by Tetsu and a Kenjutsu training center replaced the old Ninja Academy. All remaining academy students were gathered up and taught the way of the Samurai at the new Kenjutsu training center.
Tamotsu was very moved by the saving of his country, regardless of what the Samurai did with it afterward. He decided that he would devote himself to the ways of the Samurai so that he could protect the ones he cared about; namely his younger brother. He trained hard and excelled greatly because of the fact that he was the only Genin-level trainee. He already had gotten a decent amount of Kenjutsu training along with Taijutsu training. It was not long before he himself was an instructor at the Kenjutsu training center. He achieved this at the young age of seventeen. He was given the title Aki-Rokudan, due to his superb skill as an instructor. At the age of twenty he was the second best instructor at the Kenjutsu training center. It was not long at all until he was asked to be one of the guards of Tetsu's border. He took the position humbly and stated "I wish simply to serve and protect". Upon his leave the Kenjutsu training center was finally given a name, it was called the "Aki Samurai Academy" in dedication to Tamotsu.
He served in the border patrol for many years guarding the western border, which was the closest to his homeland. He was under the supervision of the greatest Samurai from that general area of Tetsu no Kuni. One such Samurai being a sword smith by the name of Masamune. Tamotsu was considered to be a young wretch by the more senior Samurai. Masamune, however, befriended him. He saw great potential in the young man and so decided that he would help him further hone his skills as a swordsman. Along with this he also taught him how to be a sword smith. Within five years he had forged around ten or so swords. Among these were two special ones, his katana and wakizashi. It was around this time he learn to control his Futon chakra better using it while making swords to fan the flames whilst creating swords. His friend Masamune was an older man when he met him, and within six year of meeting him he died on natural causes. Tamotsu was saddened by this turn of events, but he figured that dying from old age was an honorable death in its own fashion. He decided though that he would not let old age creep up on him, if he were to die it would be in battle against a worthy opponent.
One fateful evening, only a few months after the death of his beloved master Tamotsu was forced into battle against a worthy opponent. He was a formidable Ronin mercenary. Along with him was a whole sect of Ronin wishing to overthrow the current Samurai regime and replace it with their own twisted ideology. He and a few dozen other samurai fought against this group of Ronin for about a month before they were completely decimated. There were heavy causalities on both sides, but in the end it was the Samurai who came out on top. Although within the victory came many great loses, especially for Tamotsu. During a battle he was mortally wounded by a slash to his right arm. The wound was so deep that there was no way to possibly save his arm, and so to avoid future infection he drew his wakizashi and cut off thee little bit of his arm that was left. A normal man would have been crippled by the pain, or even passed out; Tamotsu was not so special in the sense, he nearly passed out when the blow was first struck. After he lobed off the remaining arm he quickly tore off some of his kimono and wrapped it around the stub to avoid bleeding to death. After this, feeling that he had nothing left to lose, he charged into battle slashing away at every Ronin that crossed his path. At this point in time he was ready to accept what he considered a very honorable death. Things did not go exactly as planned however, eventually he did pass out from blood loss. Lucky for him he was quickly found by a medic and brought to an infirmary.
He spent the next six months recovering. At first his cursed his fate, but soon his realized that if he was meant to die there he would have. So he then decided that once he recovered he would wander around Tetsu no Kuni as a Ronin, and also travel the world in an attempt at finding his purpose. Whilst traveling the world he also decided that he would attempt to still be a swordsman. His katana was lost during combat and so all he had left was his wakizashi. He trained his left arm brutally so that he could was devastating slashes with his wakizashi. At this point in time he was twenty seven, he would spend the next eleven years training in one-armed combat eventually developing his own Kenjutsu style from his former knowledge of swordsmanship.
