Profile Template and Guidelines

These are the guidelines and rules of making profiles here. If you would like to make a new character, please make sure you read and abide by the following guidelines; doing so will ensure a speedy and non-stressful profile experience. Thank you. :3

1. We will no longer be accepting images that we deem too inappropriate based on proboards terms of service. It is rare that this happens however, so if you are unsure about an image simply use it in your profile and we will tell you to remove it or alter it accordingly.


3. You may use canon images for custom characters.


4. Please use the template provided in the following posts when applying for characters. You may use a custom variation of the template, but please make sure to include all the information.


5. You may create an NPC profile if you'd like to. Just be sure be sure to put the NPC tag in the title. (Ex: John Doe, NPC).


6. Do not ask for your profile to be looked at. We have the notification thread for that.


7. If you have been stripped in the Custom-Canon strip, you will not be reconsidered for a canon character again until the next strip or until a substantial time has passed and there are no other suitable applicants to choose from.


8. Read the rules. They are there for your benefit. If you have questions that this guide did not answer for you please feel free to contact a staff member via PM.


9. The history portion of the profile template is no longer required. The only exception to this is for those of you who have an interest in Kage/Rulers/Jinchūriki or any available custom canon position, you are required to write a two paragraph synopsis of your character, giving enough detail to outline how and why your character obtained their allotted position.

Name:
Your name should be Japanese or at least Far Eastern in nature. Other names will not be accepted.

Relatives:
This is simple fluff to your profile. List or describe the people your character is relation to. You can be as detailed or as simplistic as you want with this. Please note that you cannot be related to a canon character directly. The closest you can come to it is if you are approved into one of the open canon clans.

You simply describe the physical characteristics of your character here. This includes height, weight, body type, etc.

Personality:
Tell us about your character's personality. This can be as brief or as detailed as you want as long as you give enough description for RP purposes.

TACTICAL

Ninja Rank:
This is easy. It is one of the six traditional ninja ranks. Those include: Academy Student, Genin, Chunin, Jonin, Tokubetsu Jonin or Kage. If your character is none of these things then they are a civilian. In which case, remove Ninja Rank and place Civilian under position.

Although the majority of Shinobi are Chūnin in rank in the Manga, the only limit on character ranks is that you cannot be a Kage without earning the position In-Game.

Age goes hand in hand with character ranks. Keep in mind that it generally takes a long time for characters to advance in rank. Here is a basic guideline for character progression with age and rank: Genin: 12 -Years Old, Chūnin: 19 Years Old, Tokubetsu Jōnin: 21 Years Old, Jōnin: 25 Years Old. You can achieve the ranks earlier through In-Game achievement.

Position:

Any special positions your character has. This includes things that aren't ranks but things Ninja are known for such as being a member of ANBU, being a Nukenin or a Medical Ninja, etc. Or this can mean Civilian if your character is not a ninja.

Affiliation:
Status Village, Country
Affiliation is what village or organizations your character is aligned or previously aligned with. If your character is currently a ninja of Konaha then put currently in the status section, Konaha in the village section and Hi no Kuni in the country section.

Elemental Composition:
Elemental Composition is basically your character's chakra natures, be that one of the traditional five or some sort of other offshoots.

When you get into the nitty-gritty world of chakra nature, be sure to remember that every character is born with an affinity to one chakra nature. This is called the "Primary Chakra Nature." A character up to the Tokubetsu Jōnin Rank have one chakra nature right off the bat. Jōnin can have two, and the Kage are capable of having three.

As a special note: you can learn to develop your secondary and tertiary chakra natures In-Game. However, there is a reason they are so limited. It has been stated in the Manga that learning a secondary chakra nature takes a long time to do. As such, don't think that one post, or even one thread is going to be enough to master a secondary chakra nature.

Holding:
If you want a holding, in which we put all of your jutsu and equipment so you remain able to freely edit your profile, then leave this here and leave it blank. If you don't want it, then remove this category. Understand that in doing so, your profile becomes locked upon approval and you can only edit it by going through additions.
