It was less than two hours time since he'd arrived back to the village, almost four days hence from leaving the Hidden Leaf. He was obligated to tell his people now. The Boykage removed the yellow hat from his head, throwing it backwards into his office so that he could better see his villagers. Those close enough could see the hardness in his eyes now. This announcement would be anything but a laughing matter. "I have returned from Konohagakure with unfortunate news. News that will affect more than just our allies, but come to affect us in time. I have an obligation as your leader, the Godaime Raikage, to tell you that we will soon face a new threat. Something called the Bijūtsukai. "While I was attending the funeral of the Rokudaime Hokage, Uzumaki Naruto, a mysterious man by the name of Hata Ōjin made an appearance; he proclaimed a new plan for the world in which each hidden village would give up their Jinchūriki to have their Bijū removed and sealed away permanently." he stopped now to let that sink it. He knew what this would do to his village. It would tear it. Those who wanted to protect their fellow shinobi and those who would agree with a plan that would remove such evil from the world. There were still those who remembered the tales their parents and grandparents told them of the Hachibi breaking free and wreaking havoc on the village. They might have know that the Hachibi was since tamed, but it changed nothing for them. They were still an incredible force of power that could destroy them all if left unchecked. D crossed his arms now over his chest, waiting but a moment to let the chatter quiet before he boomed over the village, "We will not oblige!" He could see the tear forming deeper and deeper now, but it would be of no import. He would mend it, even if it meant he'd have to burn it back together. "I say to you all who disagree with this one thing: If you don't like it, come to me and challenge me so that you might have the power to make the decision. Otherwise, kick fucking rocks. "Bring Kayoi-sama and Ro-sama to me, now!" he said, turning around and stepping back into his office, closing the door with considerable force to let the village know his choice's finality. |
