MIST AWAKENING - Travel Past 3 Continuation of...It was some time since they had gotten to Hi no kuni, they they had followed their map and after many hours came to be at the gates of Konohagakure no sato. Walking forward from the path into the forests, the two Kirigakure Shinobi Mira and Maka Maku, adorned in their Kirigakure regalia came to stand some twenty feet from the gates as they looked onward and awaited the honorable guards to address them.
"Maka...these gates are kinda like back home Except they aren't made of metal"
Mira said to Maka, as Maka replied, looking onward. Mira's hand was awaiting by her pouch, where the message scroll was tucked away, in case they were questioned as to their purpose. They knew though that in matters of trust, they couldn't just hand the message over to anyone, they had to ensure it reach the Hokage personally, as they would be the only person capable of unsealing it. At least that it was they presumed, the Mizukage after all was a very cautious woman.

[atrb=style, width: 350px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/dDxps.png);][atrb=valign,top]She appeared as though she were always there, her hair and outfit pristine as if just put on from the shop in which she had it made. Her smile was sweet, her face just as. She shadow that loomed about in her mind was not so, but she knew enough about being a shinobi to know that her shown expression and who she really was were two different entities. She hoped these Kirigakure shinobi would be wise enough to know the same; to know that this woman who would grant them access to the village would too kill them if they did anything out of her liking in light of the current times.
"Welcome to Konohagakure no Sato," she smiled as she bowed as any respectable woman from a highborn position should. "I am Shimura Kumiko, Jōnin Commander of this village. I understand you are here because you might have some business. Might I see some identification and hear what you might want to do in our village before admitting you fine shinobi?"
Her smile was ever present... but she still watching with her eyes, known throughout the village for diving the truth even out of the most convoluted lies. |

The two of them looked at the Konohagakure ninja, and then smiled, bowing their heads, but not taking their eyes off, as was custom to show respect but to imply that they didn't fully trust the person. Its what any ninja would do for another. Mira was the first to procure her ID badge and the scroll, Maka second.
"Maku Mira Maku Maka Kirigakure no sato Shinobi, here on urgent business with the Hokage... We are to deliver this to Rokudaime Hokage Uzamaki Naruto-sama, as instructed by Shichidaime Mizukage Terumi Rinruri-sama"
Mira and Maka said, as they presented their identification.

[atrb=style, width: 350px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/dDxps.png);][atrb=valign,top]She fluttered forward, her steps short and deliberate underneath the restraining kimono. Her eyes scanned over the cards, knowing well the look of the Kirigakure identification card from her past. These were legitimate shinobi. Her concern though was with their business. Her smile would deflate into a face of sadness, her eyes downcast as she broke the news to the shinobi before her.
"I apologize, friends. I regret to inform you that Uzumaki Naruto-sama has passed," she faked a tear falling from her eyes, trying to assume a role of innocence and hurt over the tragedy. They wouldn't be able to see through it--Naruto-sama was respected throughout the world and his death brought tears to the eyes of feeble old women about the world. Her faked emotion would be seen as nothing more than the expected response. "We have replaced our Rokudaime Hokage with the Shichidaime Hokage, Kusunoki Masahige, my own personal student in his youth..." Her smile returned as she placed a hand at her chest; her cheeks flushed.
"All is well however, and Masahige-kun is seeing visitors at this time. I regret you all could not have seen Naruto-sama's funeral. It was truly eventful. But those are just the thoughts of a humble old woman," she chuckled as she stepped off to the side. "Please, honored Shinobi, proceed into our humble village."
She bowed on her knees now to let them pass as any proper highborn woman should. She hated having to put on these appearances. |

They looked a bit shocked by this news, they hadn't expected the great Naruto to have died, it was a revelation that would shock the world. Though form the woman's words it had been past already, meaning they were much too late to make use of this information. Call them callous, call them cold, Kirigakure shinobi were duty first, emotions last.
"We see... Never the less, we have to bring this message, we thank you Shimura Kumiko-sama"
They bowed once more, same way as before. Paranoid Kirigakure ninja, that was part of their mystique. Once the women allowed them entrance, they figured they would receive an escort to the Hokage's office, after all, it wasn't their village, nor was it likely that Konohagakure would put too much trust into every random ninja who wandered into their village, even those on important matters. At least, that's how they were trained, these Kirigakure ninja, to suspect everyone as a potential enemy. When they entered, Mira did happen to glance around the gate, just kind of remembering it, and how unlike their home villages it was.
