The Fushigi are a dark clan of Kumogakure no Sato, and before the age of the villages--and by some, even after--were considered evil. They originated when the Yoippari did as a group of shinobi wanting revenge against a rival group for ancient transgressions. In order to get their revenge, it is said they killed the women of the enemy clan, performed jutsu to change their genders and appearances, and then replaced the killed women with themselves. This lead to the destruction of the enemy clan from within, as well as the thievery of their shinobi techniques and their place in history.
Whether this age-old tale is true or not is unknown, but it is widely considered to be fact, no matter how exaggerated it is. This is due to their almost sudden burst into fame, where they appeared in force in the mountains of Kaminari no Kuni. Though rarely employed by the daimyo, disgraced nobles or exiles often hired their services for revenge, and to regain their positions in court. This lead to the evil reputation the Fushigi hold now, as they were often employed to do dark deeds no other clan would. It is known their price often matched the depravity of each job they took.
Once the shinobi clans began to unite, the Fushigi acted knowing that they had to join or be destroyed. In order to cement their place in the new village, several prospects were destroyed by them shortly after receiving an invitation by the Raikage. The Fushigi were never caught and charged for this, and they integrated the stolen information and jutsu from the other clans. The Fushigi became known as a clan as diverse in power as the Senju, but their darkness left them hated and reviled. It was suspected by many when they joined Kumogakure no Sato that their powers were stolen from others, though this was never confirmed.
Throughout the history of Kumogakure no Sato, the Fushigi have served as assassins and spies of the highest caliber. Their tendency to go to extremes to complete a mission survived, and with it so did their paranoia and cowardice.
Because of this growing paranoia, and their ability to spy on the other great clans, the Fushigi at large began to think that they would be the first clan destroyed by the Yoippari. Due to their evil reputation and their tendency to go to the extreme, they believe themselves, and rightly so, to be hated and despised. Because of this, they reached out to other clans that they knew would rebel, and began to plot in secret.
The Fushigi have no clan leader. Instead, the eldest members of the family serve as a council that decides the fate of the clan.

SUMMONING TECHNIQUE C-Rank. The Fushigi hold a summoning contract with various types of fly. They perform this summoning by making the needed hand seals, drawing blood, and then touching the nearest surface. Due to the size of flies, massive swarms are able to be summoned for the normal chakra cost of the technique.
INFORMATION STORING SEAL A-Rank. The Fushigi have developed special seals that store information. This is done by placing it on a target, and then making a hand seal. Afterwards, anything the target sees, hears, or says is recorded into the seal like a recording. With a second hand seal, the seal then leaves the target and appears on the casters hand, where they then instantly receive all the information the seal recorded while it was activated. This information transportation can take place over vast distances.
