However, to ask us to relinquish military control is not something I am in the position to acknowledge. And in my personal opinion-outside of speaking for our Lady, you are asking us to submit. Something that would be difficult, if not impossible for any Iwagakure warrior to do.”
“I will not entertain this farce of a discussion any longer. Our aim was to illustrate the situation, not to win hearts or garner support. And I am lead to believe that no matter of evidence would sway the minds of those so fixated on ousting us as the villains. No amount of innocence is capable of standing against such suspicion. No amount of credibility can withstand such an elaborate campaign of subterfuge and slander.” |

[atrb=style, width: 350px; background-image: url(http://i.imgur.com/dDxps.png);][atrb=valign,top]He could feel his father's eyes on him when the summit came to the point it was at now. He sat, somewhat begrudged by his childish desire to continue the argument until his dominance was made known, but his rational side forced him to recognize the gravity of his actions in this summit. He listened to all that was to be said, but he stalled at the words of the Tsuchikage's representatives.
He withheld his desire to shout against their words, thinking regard for his rank would turn ears to him. Such was the thoughts of a boy in a man's position. No matter of how accomplished he was could make up for experience that older shinobi possessed. It was time to bring the reins in on the boykage, and handle this like his grandfather would... granted, A was not much more subtle than he was.
"Remain seated, representatives of the Rock." he began, leaning in on the table. "To say that we should force them to make a decision even a Kage would blatantly reject is absurd, Mizukage. They are mere representatives sent to speak some words on the matters we present and have no actual sway in anything. We can not ask them to present news that all four Kage wish to seize their forces. It is a laughable joke and like to wake the Tsuchikage to rage. We have lived prosperous years as a realm on the peace that was brought about not even a century ago.
"I will admit I have been rash and brash in previous discussions, but aside from the last demand of the Mizukage, she does have things right. We should decide what we are to do concerning these matters now.
"With regards to the Ichibi, the Cloud will work openly with the Sand in order to make sure the reins are dragged in on the beast. Since it currently resides in the Lightning Nation, I will dispatch troops to track it as soon as I return home. I will also send words to allow in Sand troops bearing your seal to enter my lands. From there, we will work cooperatively to track the beast, even out of the borders of my own lands, and into the borders of others to seal it. I expect the full cooperation, and even aid of those nations should it come to that. Nothing else will be accepted.
"As for Iwagakure... As the Kage who called this meeting, the Rock was out of my mind. I only found out of their activity after I decided to call the summit. That being said, while I expect those involved, or close to the conflict will keep an eye on it, the Cloud has no regard for it. So that brings us to the Tamers."
He breathed a moment, reassuring himself with the support of his father behind him and his grandfathers' spirits' hands resting there also. He continued shortly thereafter, "They pose threats to all of our villages and all our people regardless of intent. That being said, there is not much we can do now since we lack all vital information regarding their operations. I think we can all agree on dispatching additional intelligence units about their lands so we can especially watch for them. If any land should find information about them, it should be relayed to all villages so that we might plan accordingly. A failure to do so would be taken as a call for attack on the part of the withholding village.
"We should work together here to ensure the peace the world has enjoyed all these years be preserved. Moved to disturb that peace will not be tolerated by myself or any member of the Cloud" |

She was silent and it was easy to think she was listening. As they formed the plan, and what needed to be done, she let them weigh in the options. While true she had acted a bit brash with her call of disband, it had been with good intentions. In her views, if they turned over the right of their armies, to the summit, no one person would be able to use them or destroy them, they would basically be held much like money in a bank, waiting for the right person who is authorized to withdraw it. This would go a long way to show Iwa's wish for peace with the other five nations as well as help show their innocence in being a hostile force against Takigakure. But since that was less likely to happen, she would concede it, as she had more things to do, and this council meeting was taking up some of her time.
"Sounds like a good plan. I concede the Iwa military holding proposition and back the summit on these other issues. As a further measure, I will be sending what resources I can spare to help in these endeavor, as well as one of Kirigakure's better shinobi whom I feel could be useful in this Bijutsukai endeavor... though have to get him away from his Boss first"
She said through the scroll, alluding to Hozuki Namazu actually, since he wasn't a part of the village's inner conflict and the one with the Daimyo, he was likely her only resource she could actually send out without hindering her stance too much with the village and the people. Much to the chagrin of the council, of their ideals, it could be easy to think that one man could make little difference.
But then, they really didn't know who the ninja of Kirigakure really were then.
"If there is nothing else, I think our time has been productive, and unless my fellow Kage have more issues we need to resolve, I need to conclude this conversation"
She would say through the scroll, which was very adamant in its meaning "I got shit to do, you all do as well, anything else we gotta talk about?" Was really the gist of it.

Having suffered one indignity from them it is not something we would like repeated.” Satoru began, adjusting to the uneven calm that settled in the room of the Kages, sitting appropriately as asked. “We too, are paragons of peace, and this threat demands us all to act accordingly for the best interests of the world at large.”
The Awaikage offered affirming glances to everyone present, hiding the entirty of his thoughts behind both masks he wore. What was learned at the summit needed to be relayed home with due haste. While he was no stranger to the drawn out game of politics and court, it was an affair that he could do without-at least in lieu of such pressing circumstances. |
