It is said that the Yorumon clan evolved from the beasts of the field opposed to the divine origins some of the other clans of Kumogakure boast. They are commonly known for their savagery in war and all affairs, their brash attitudes and seeming insensitivity to the pain of others. They placed even the children of the clan into war during the Warring Clan Era once they showed even an ounce of aptitude and had no remorse when those children returned dead. Like the Fushigi Clan, the Yorumon is one of the seven Idai Chōjō (Great Peaks) (偉大頂上) who is not looked on with admiration or honor, but fear and scorn.
The Yorumon (Black Gate) were named by a collection of Daimyō ages ago for the fact that they were a last resort. If a Daimyō sought to crush their opponents and no prestigious clans would take their contract or they sought complete decimation of their targets, the Yorumon were employed. However, to employ them was taboo for their barbaric methods.
Going along with their barbarism, leadership within the Yorumon clan is not decided by lineage but by strength. Any leader is at risk of having his or her position stolen by the next Yorumon clan's member to challenge them to mortal combat. Being in the business of war and only war, the Yorumon did not initially accept the invitation to join Kumogakure and was declared an enemy of the state because of it. For many years it would wage war against the developing Cloud Village until eventually the Kyokai (Chief) conceded defeat and signed an alliance between the clan and the village.
Despite alliance to the clan, the Yorumon clan remained equally as secretive and bellicose in nature though the passing of time has instilled a sense of pride in them in regards to their home village. They continue to take the usual jobs that they were employed for in the past, those being assassinations, complete and utter decimation, torture and interrogation.

KŌSEKI NO SHOKU 礦石の食 | UNRANKED Mineral Eater is the hijutsu of the Yorumon clan; using this technique they became known for their immense strength and use of their terrain to fight their opponents. Using this technique, it becomes possible to absorb minerals from the earth into the body and expound upon their properties, effectively changing the very chemical composition of the body. Miraculously, no biological pathways are shown to be affected by this change in chemistry, and the body's range of motion is also not affected either.
This technique's usage can cause a variety of physical changes, the most notable of which is the body's changing of density. This property leads to the immense strength increase, and in some cases, the immense speed that the user can obtain from using this technique. Strength seems to only be additive, and the possible reduction of density doesn't affect the base strength of the user, thus allowing the user to become faster if they absorb a less dense mineral's composition. However, absorbing a more dense mineral will cause their density to increase; this slows the user but adds a huge increase in strength and heightened resistance to kinetic force.
Another physical change is the changing of hardness of the flesh. Absorbing a soft mineral will soften the body, making the user more susceptible to attacks, while absorbing harder minerals will do the exact opposite, and even make the skin harder to penetrate or cut. The final notable physical change is the acquisition of the mineral's appearance. The user will change color and or texture based on the mineral which is absorbed.
While the user absorbs noticeable properties, other properties are also absorbed such as radiation emission, and conductivity, though these properties can not be manipulated. The body eventually filters out the majority of absorbed minerals through the kidneys, however, larger intakes prove problematic in some events.
TESSHIN NO SŌDEN 鉄心の相伝 | UNRANKED Inheritance of the Iron Will is a special technique associated with the hijutsu of the Yorumon clan. Using this technique, the user draws iron into their body to produce the desired effects. This iron is exceedingly miniscule and therefore, the user doesn't experience any outward physical changes as associated with Kōseki no Shoku. Instead, this jutsu increases the amount of iron in the bloodstream. This increases oxygen intake and results in the user producing more energy. This can give the user a boost in energy lasting about fifteen minutes. There is a significant risk with using this technique too often as the excess iron, if not properly flushed from the system can cause damage to the body.
