Considering it had been an incredibly long day with little progress on her new current mission, at least the day was shining with beauty, as no storm cloud was in sight. According to the information she received prior to the written details, there was small rogue ninja group that attacked outgoing citizens of this far-out village when they'd leave town. But since they were pretty sneaky and shady about their attacks, it was hard for the ninja of the small village to catch them...and when they did, they found themselves brutally defeated. One would think a simple band of rogues could be handled by someone else lower than a Jonin, but apparently the leader of the group wasn't one to take too lightly, compared to his followers who were just lackeys. So of course, here she was...setting off as she realized the merchant she volunteered to accompany to a neighboring village was leaving town, rising from the stone bench she was patiently waiting on.
He appeared to be pretty defenseless and unless he was being escorted by someone, he was a pretty easy target. That's what she thought when they met...or should she say accidentally bumped into her. As she walked beside him, exiting the village mere moments ago, made sure to tighten her finger-less gloves in case a battle broke out anytime, which she hoped for it to be the rogues. She had an accurate description of their likeness and appearances thanks to the locals.
"Thanks for the escort, Missy. Hard to believe you're an elite ninja. Sure don't look it...no offense!" the middle-aged man panicked a little as he grinned and giggled to himself.
The young Jonin blushed a bit merely out of embarrassment as she looked away, though slightly irritated on the inside. However, she played it cool as her usual. "I...get that a lot. But rest assured, I'll make sure no harm will come upon you."
She was just recently assigned this rank, so even she still retained her doubts that she should be considered elite. This was actually her second mission as a Jonin, the first not being too difficult but it was certainly a large step up in difficulty that she was used to, for she was generally supposed to be able to handle most of her missions alone. Even now, despite the fact that this rogue group was fairly small, a fight with multiple shinobi is far more troublesome compared to a single target. However, thinking back on a conversation she had with her father before departing for this mission a couple of days ago, she was reminded by her own memory that if she had doubts about her skill, then she's as good as dead if a battle begins. All it took was that one reminder for her to snap back into her usual confident self.
All that was left to do is just keep herself attentive and vigilant.

It was a standard day. Mara was out on recon, hearing that there was some trouble out near this small village. She wasn't on any mission was just curious, as she made her yway leaping through the trees. As she went, further ahead, she heard the sounds of a woman. Stopping in a nearby tree, Mara looked down at the woman an man, careful not to let herself be seen. As she watched she realized it was another member of Konohagakure's Shinobi, Kaen.
"Kaen, isn't she a Jonin? Hmmm, wonder what she is doing way out here?"
Mara asked herself looking around, she saw the village in the distance. Maybe this fellow shinobi could use a hand? In a blur of movement, she disappeared, reappearing several feet away from the pair. She adjusted her glasses and smiled up to the two of them.
"Heyo---Kaen right?"
She asked with a smile.

As the middle-aged peddler was telling a tall and boring tale he was likely making up off the top of his head, Hana settled with a rather dull expression as she was forced to hear him ramble on. However, a bit of rambling above was heard as she stopped the man in his tracks, holding her arm out in front of him. She didn't make a sound, wondering if someone was watching them from a distance.
But then a woman, another shinobi appeared in front of them with no signs of hostility, thank goodness. But Hana was a bit thrown off at the greeting, though she wasn't bothered or anything...just that she never was too accustomed to formality name-wise, but she finally let her arm down.
"Ah, yes. That's me." She silently sighed afterward, holding onto her arm with her other hand as she stood still and tried to remember if the newcomer was familiar or not. "You're from Konoha? You know who I am, but I feel bad for not knowing who you are..."
Hey, it was best to be honest, right? Not like Hana could do so otherwise. She's a terrible liar.

Mara's head fell forward in a sigh. The background around her changed to represent her mild depression, as her face became two sad eyes and a frown.
T-T
As was custom in animes when such occurrences happened, after a moment or two it all went away as she looked back up to Hana.
"Dont worry about it"
She said passing it off as she looked at the two of them.
"But who is---he?"
She asked and for a moment there, an imagination bubble crossed her mind. Of the youngish Hana and the old man heading out on a picnic, feeding each other and then her imagination had them standing there all lovingly as their faces came closer together. She quickly shook off those thoughts before things got too serious in her head, as she looked at the pair.

"Hah, okay...sorry." She hesitated in her speaking a bit, but then she was needed to introduce the man, who was already ahead of her as he stepped forth a bit...having a smirk on his face.
"...I'm Kouman, the best peddler around these parts!"
...And there he goes. While she didn't comment on it, it was plainly shown on her face that the old man was really bugging her to no ends. Obviously was a pervy old man once another woman came into his sights. But for the sake of wanting to keep things a little professional, she interrupted (but not rudely) his introduction.
"...I'm escorting him to a neighboring village here, but I'm also on a mission." Hana gazed upwards at the trees as she crossed her arms. "Some group of rogues attack defenseless folk when they're far out from their village...but I have the task of taking them out because the rogue leader's supposedly a very skilled shinobi. Likely an ex-elite."
She never was told what this apparent leader specialized in...guess they were too focused on escaping with their lives to get in-depth details other than the description of his physical appearance. But now looking back to the other shinobi...
"But who are you? Were you sent to help?"

Mara shook her head. No, she hadn't been sent as back up. But on standard recon, she had noticed Hana, and since she was putting together a team of shinobi thought it best to encounter the woman and see her capabilities.
"Actually no, I am on orders from the Hokage to find members for an elite task force.
Would it be alright, if I accompanied you? To you know assess your abilities and see if you would fit well with the task force... I can also help you deal with this rogue"
She said, as she looked up to the sunny sky above. Energy built around her for the briefest of seconds, but noticeable by Hana as being chakra manipulation. The overhead sky began to grow with clouds, which became darker as moisture gathered in them.
And just like that, a wave of her hands, and they were gone. Not illusion, actual weather manipulation, but to what extent was the question. Now, Mara was smart enough to not reveal all her cards.

A task force, eh? It wasn't like she was doing anything after this mission anyway, so Hana merely nodded her head. She wanted to question what it was all about, but it didn't seem like the time and place for such things when her target could appear at any moment's notice. However, she realized soon after that it was getting darker from above...but strangely enough the clouds disappeared as she caught a glimpse of Mara from the corner of her eye.
Did she...?
No...that's not possible.
Passing it off as just an odd change in the weather for now, she looked back to Mara as she smiled, at least getting a gist of why she needed to form a force. "Sure. I don't mind, and I'd be glad to help you out if you find me worthy enough."
Something else was bothering her though. She was told that the group always attacked when people would arrive at this distance from the village...and as the old man actually pointed out correctly earlier, Hana herself doesn't look all that strong appearance-wise, so they could mistaken her for being just as defenseless as the peddler. Maybe they just hadn't been spotted yet?

She nodded with a smile.
"Alrighty then, I'll will go back to monitoring you, continue, and if you need help dont worry I will be close by for back up"
She said and with a blur she was gone. Reappearing in the top of a tree, she motioned to the sky, as a cloud descended. by focusing chakra to her feet she stepped out onto the cloud, and just like that was walking on it. A moment later and she was ascending up into the clouds, to keep an eye on Hana from above and be ready in the event she needed to assist.
Strategic information Yuukai: Kyuuten Keiro "Fusion: Heavens Walkway" Using her ability to manipulate water and wind together, Kyûin Marā manipulates the moisture to create a low flying cloud that she can move using small wind currents. By lightly increasing the density of the water within the cloud, Marā is capable of focusing chakra to her feet much like one would when needing to stand on water, in order to stand or appear to stand on the cloud and begin rising into the sky. She can control the wind currents enough to travel small distances, but not fast. Majority of usage for this technique is scouting, by gaining elevation or concealment amongst the backdrop of clouds in the area. C Ranked

And with that, she vanished. Quite the mysterious individual she's met in a while, but she liked it when things are straight to the point...and with someone watching her back in the shadows, it at least lifts a bit of stress off her shoulders. Though the thought of knowing that she's being watched itself could be a bit creepy...but ninja are supposed to be, right?
"You Konoha shinboi sure are something!" the Peddler finally commented. Hana didn't really say anything in response, but she at least moved her head in a way that she took it as her being understanding. However, it was time to keep on moving.
They covered more distance as time passed and to the young Jonin's knowledge of this area, they were nearing the halfway point to the next village already. Odd...still not an enemy in sight. Perhaps they were actually pretty smart to not judge a book by it's cover.
...Or not. She could have sworn she heard more rumbling around her, stopping the old man in his tracks as they entered a large clearing. It wasn't Mara either...they were definitely human steps, but sound a lot heavier compared to hers. Unless her new ally had some friends hiding within the sea of trees as well, she was quite sure someone with ill intent was lurking in the shadows as well.
Just as it became quiet again for a few seconds, a nearby bush ruffled around and within a split second, a kunai darted out and was aimed for the Peddler. Thinking fast, she shoved him out of the way, it coming too fast for her to deflect. Afterwards, a shadowy figure emerge from atop of a nearby tree, falling down on Hana as his twin swords were locked onto her.
...Pretty basic maneuver that she's seen countless times before. One attacks from a distance as a diversion while the other goes in for the kill. She acrobatically back flipped to escape the range of the falling rogue and his weapons, and in a swift motion, she sent a powerful jab towards his face after he recovered, the rogue being sent backwards into the same bush from earlier as the one who threw the kunai earlier leaped out. To her surprise, the rogue didn't say anything as he slowly approached. The others who were likely hiding were probably waiting for another opportunity to catch her off guard. But she preferred it that way. Less talking, more knocking people out if they kept coming. Though keeping an eye out for the Peddler at the same time would prove problematic.

She watched from above, keeping a close eye as she get herself ready.
"The enemy has made contact, releasing control restriction art level two, awakening thunderstorm"
She said, as she focused, the sky would begin growing dark around her as the clouds began to become darker. The darkening sky would give her cover and bring rain, rain which could be used for many techniques. But that wasn't the main reason she had provided the cloud cover. Mainly she did it to mask her presence as she pulled out senbon needless dipped with her poison and made an opening in the clouds so she could see down and provide back up if called for it.
Strategic Information Yuukai: Saishuu Arashi "Fusion: Gathering Storms"
The Kyûin Clan is capable of Yuukai, or Fusion of the two elements within themselves. Using their trained ability to fuse elements, the Clan member of this level ninjutsu is capable of creating a turbulent storm. Saishuu Arashi is seen as a gateway technique, needed to be used in order to help boost the Kyûin ninja's jutsu. This technique creates pressure within the atmosphere, that on its own begins forming storm clouds. The storm clouds having been helped to start, will continue to occur naturally, rumbling and gaining moisture to create rain if there is enough moisture in the area. Though, depending on environment or current weather in the area, this technique can range from being mildly easy (Clouds already in the sky, area rich in moisture) to extremely difficult (desert environment, no moisture/water in area). It takes a a few minutes for the storm clouds to gain enough moisture to begin rumbling and grow in strength, so this is not a technique to be used in the midst of combat. C Ranked

Seriously, what was with the weather today? One moment it goes from sunny to cloudy, then back to sunny and finally it's pouring down! Luckily since the fire she produces is chakra-based, the rain wouldn't put her fiery fists out when the time came for her to get serious.
But focusing on the fight, the lone rogue brandished steel as he tried to pull his one man show, holding one kunai knife in hand with holding a sword in another. All she could do is evade his crazy sporadic, yet seemingly un-experienced assaults until she could find an opening...and that she did. After ducking under his sword, she sent her hand forth with her palm hitting his chest. He staggered backwards, but couldn't react in time as Hana struck him hard with a flaming kick to his side...the force of the blow strong enough to knock the breath out of him until he dropped. One down...
But she witnessed a moving body in the tree above once more, then a rain of shurikens befell her instantly. Back flipping as much as she could to avoid all the stars, she made her way back to the peddler as she had no real way keep him protected the entire fight. However, three more robed figures emerged from the sea of trees with their weapons ready. She had a very strange premonition that someone was off here...the rogues were ready for action, but didn't move from their spot. It was then that literally out of nowhere (to her), a large scythe-like weapon with a very long chain attached to the end of it flew towards her at mach speed. Taking advantage of her quick reflex, she barely dodged the weapon as it stabbed itself into the bark of a tree behind her.
"Hmph...they all usually can't react in time from that trick. Nice work..." A deep and scruffy voice echoed from the direction the scythe once came, the chain then tightening as the large weapon was pulled back to it's initial location. As the peddler ran behind some bushes, Hana herself walked forth before seeing a tall fellow in black garbs standing on a large tree branch with his scythe rested on his shoulder. It was difficult to make out all his features with the rain pouring down, but he definitely fit the description she was given.
"...It's about time they sent a high-ranking shinobi. I was getting bored of weaklings. Wasn't expecting it to be a woman though. But you're handling my boys, so it's fine."
Hana clenched her fists as she frowned, but kept a calm demeanor. "...The leader, right? Good, you've shown yourself quite fast. Let's get this over with."
"...Hold it there, lass. We'll have some fun together soon...how about you play with my boys for a while longer? They may not look it, but I've trained them myself...gotta let them in on the fun first. But try not to die before it's my turn, will you?"
And with that, the leader vanished into the trees and even more rogues emerged. There were quite a lot of them this time...must be the whole group together. She'd likely wouldn't come out of it unscathed since she's fighting them all with fist alone...she could change that, but no need to use the staff yet. Wherever Mara was, she's likely noticed the battle by now, so she could count on her. But for now, she channeled her chakra into her hands and feet as they set ablaze, ready for action while getting into her fighting stance.

------------------------------------------------------- THEME MUSIC------------------------------------------------------- AS the battle commenced far below, Mara knew her place and just what she ould need to do. Being a ranged fighter, and a ninjutsu specialist, groups were her thing. As the rain began to drop, a few other things would as well. Senbon laced with her Ryu Soshaku-doku would come down, three needles landing at the front most man, so the one closest to Hana. It was done in a very "I got this" kind of way.
For a moment, they would all pause. The needles had literally come from nowhere, and were sticking out of the mans shoulders and upper back. As he slowly turned to cast his eyes skyward, his body began to seize up, falling forward while his mouth began foaming. The poison began to work, rendering that man out of combat. The others were now on their guard, as they figured the woman in font of them had back up close by.
This is when the sky would open up, as the storm swirled around the woman standing aloft midst the clouds, glaring down at the group of men. Her hair whipped, and her clothing fluttered,, as they stared up to her, and she glared back, like some kind of mystical goddess of storms. So too like the storms, had her fury been invoked.

(OOC: Sure, that's fine if you wanna do it that way.) --- Just as she was going to charge forth was when the man suddenly dropped and foamed at the mouth. She hadn't even seen what happened until she witnessed the needles stuck into his shoulders. It was as if the clouds dropped them along with the rainfall...however she was slightly accurate with that assumption as she too stared upward to see Mara in action. So she was behind this strange weather. She possessed quite the unique jutsu, and as much as she wanted to see how it worked, she had to keep her head in the fight. Seemed like her ally gained just about all of the rogues' attention, and it would have been a perfect opportunity for Hana to strike as many of them down as she could while their guards were down...until she realized the tall figure in the trees catching her attention as it seemed like he was going to throw his scythe again, but didn't. Once she assessed the situation, it seemed like Mara had the rogues well under control without her help, so she decided to take the bait, dashing over until she leaped onto the tree branches to pursue the now-fleeing leader. He didn't go far though when he made a break for it, as a small clearing was just ahead, but he seemingly vanished in the trees again. Hana was getting tired of his tricks, dropping down into the center of the area, but standing real close to a tree as she had a plan in mind. He was likely going to try and attack her from a distance again...but where? She focused her mind as she stood completely still...then from her right and above, the scythe was coming straight for her head. Knowing how to react, she dodged to her side to allow it to hit the tree...but as quickly as she could, she stepped forth and grabbed the chain attached to the weapon...then with all her might, she yanked on it as she reeled the leader in. The tyrant had a surprised look on his face, but laughed as he released his grip from the chain and rolled several feet away from the young Jonin. Standing tall now, he placed himself in a taijutsu stance. Theme of battle"...That's quite the arm you've got there, little lady. But still, without your little friend up there, how will you fare against me alone?"...She hated it when one talked too much during a battle, so instead of replying with words, she stood in stance as well, then taunting him in striking her first. If he didn't specialize in taijutsu like she does, then she might have an advantage. All she had to do was keep him away from the scythe... The enigmatic leader hit a sprint and began sending his fists towards her. As she began dodging, Hana readied herself as she slapped his arm away and lunged her arm upwards and sideways to deliver a hook that smashed upon the side of his face. While he was staggered from the blow, she proceeded to striking him relentlessly with her channeled fire chakra coating her fists. Every moment he'd recover, he'd swing another punch, but Hana would dodge it swiftly and continue her fury of assaults. He basically couldn't keep up with her movements as over time, it seemed like she was blurring into motion with each strike. When she sent a kick towards his side unexpectedly, he blocked the attack, but purposely launched himself away as he rolled in the dirt...however, he smiled as landed next to his chain and reeled in his scythe as Hana tried to approach again, then with it in hand, he swung it horizontally. She barely dodged it, but the tip of the sickle managed to cut her cheek as she jumped backward. ...Great. And right when she had him on the ropes too. He wasn't going to fall for the same trick twice either. She assumed with his scythe in hand was what made him extremely dangerous. He was a tough cookie too...even with all the burns and bruises she could plainly see on him, he was enduring it quite well as he stood tall. The blood from the cut on her cheek began to drip from her face, but she wiped it way with her thumb, then getting back in stance as she was trying to figure out a way to get in close again. Though thinking back on the peddler for a moment, she hoped he was safe and was hidden well. With all the rogues and their leader occupied, he shouldn't be targeted wherever he was.

This fight was very one sided.
Mara held the high ground, had the power and ability and the bandits and thugs didn't have the speed she was trained for. Any fighting that happened would be over quickly, depending on how she went about it.
"Conserving limit ability, hold for further forces"
She said, as she began to descend from the clouds slowly. Pulling out two metal fans, she held them in her hands as the clouds got within thirty feet of the ground and then they dispersed as she disappeared. For a moment the men stood there, in a group as they had their backs to each other, forming a circle, waiting for the woman to appear.
In the middle of their circle she reappeared, as her hair swayed just a bit. As she stood up from her crouch she swung her metal fans outward in an arc. As she spun the metal would collide with the back of two of the men's head, with enough force to send them stumbling forward. She would halt her spin and extend the fans as they caught on, the first one turning towards her and stabbing with a kunai that she blocked and deflected with the fan, while turning to catch the man stabbing downward at her with a tanto with her back against him. Her metal fan blocked the kunai from her throat, but the man was in close enough proximity to her, that he used his free hand to reach around her and grab harshly onto her.
His hand gripped her right breast, and squeezed, as she took on a look of utter disgust while he attempted to get a better grip. Using his own hold, she brought her hand to grip his arm and slide it up to her shoulder, while his hand never released its hold. She then dropped forward, and pulled, transferring her momentum to him, to flip him over her and onto his back. The last man came in an attempt to grapple her as she dropped their friend. She shut her fan with a quick flourish of her right hand as she still leaned forward and then shot her hand forward.
*THWACK*
As her metal fan collided with his groin, causing him to seize up in pain. Standing up straighter, she looked at him through her glasses and then tapped the metal fan on his head, knocking him backward and over. All five of them were on the ground now, much like their poisoned friend.
"Stay down, and live"
She said, simply and a bit cold, as she had just basically rolled them since they didn't have formal training like a ninja. She was also a Jounin, and a strong one at that, meaning they had been outmatched from the beginning.

It certainly was very tough to get close on him for the way he handled that weapon. He must have gone through some serious training to be able to swing it around so quickly, for a weapon of that caliber isn't so easily used. Every time she'd get in close quarters, his wild, yet insanely accurate attacks would stop her in her tracks. When he went for a downwards attack, Hana stepped to her right and gained some distance backwards. It was time to use one of her techniques...
Fire Fist Art: Raging Twin Flash
With her fists and feet ablaze, she hit a quick sprint, but feinted as she halted her momentum and blurred quickly into motion as she pivoted herself to her opponent's side, managing to gain an opening as she punched and kicked both his side and arm. The assault took him off guard since the feint from the sprint convinced him that she was just going to attempt another frontal assault. The attack hit him head on though, blood flying outwards from his mouth as he was pushed back. However in retaliation, he had enough strength to swing his scythe again. Hana had just recovered from her attack, so she twisted her body around and tried to get out the way...but the weapon managed to cut off her backpack and also left a pretty big cut on her back in the process.
Losing her balance a tad, she twisted back around, but fell to one knee as she slid backwards. This was getting her nowhere...while she damaged him pretty well with her technique, it was still not enough to take him down completely. Luckily the wound on her back wasn't too deep and it missed her vital points, so it wasn't going to be too much of a hindrance.
"Heh heh...you may be faster than me, but...you don't have a chance in hell at beating me like that. I thought you Jonin knew way more than just taijutsu." he taunted, trying to stand back tall as he wiped the blood from his mouth.
...He was soon going to regret those words, for she was going to give him what he wanted. He'd mistaken her style for just straight up taijutsu, but she was going to surprise him. She didn't think she'd be using it so early, but since this rogue here was the main issue the villagers had to deal with, going all out now wasn't exactly a bad thing. And with the back-up she has, she still has a chance even if she can't defeat him herself. So she stood tall and closed her legs together as she held both arms outward, focusing her chakra into the center as a red sphere of light appeared and illuminated the area a bit.
Fire Fist Art: Ootori Staff
Keeping herself concentrated, the sphere transformed into a long pole purely made of flaming chakra. After creating her staff, she spun it around viciously before gripping the center of it with her right hand and holding it to her side. She stood in stance again as the leader had nothing else to say, Hana likely succeeding in keeping him quiet about her skill.

------------------------------------------------------- THEME MUSIC------------------------------------------------------- The men on the ground dispatched, she looked onward, hearing the fight in the distance. She should go back up her fellow ninja, but was just realizing some problems of her own. For one, this group was more then just five men, for two, the sound of loading crossbows was not a pleasant one to hear. Bringing her hands together in front of her, she readied herself as she skies overhead crackled with thunder, winds beginning to pick up.
"Arashi Shippu"
She whispered, as the winds built and began to spin around her, growing more violent. The snaps of bolts, as the crossbows fired form the treeline, the metal shafts flying directly at her as the winds grew to a riotous roar, as they got close they were swept up into the wind and began spinning around her.
"Sensatsu Suishou"
She intoned as she held a handseal for concentration while the winds ripped about her, the rain dropping down. As it fell, it began to form into needles and get sucked into the vortex around her. With a dismissal of her hands, the swirling winds burst shooting the needles and bolts off in every direction. Sticking into tree's, arms, legs, shoulders, as the bow men fell out of the trees all around her.
Just like that, she had ended the battle for herself at least. Now she secured the peddler man, before taking off to provide back up for her fellow Jounin.

The rogue leader wasted no time in grabbing his chain before throwing his weapon forth, Hana half-expecting it as she managed to slide under it and sprint forth while beside the chain once she regained her footing. No use trying to grab it again. She already had a straight shot. And since his taijutsu wasn't enough to match against hers, he probably couldn't fend her off with one arm occupied. With her Ootori Staff ready, she lunged the weapon forth multiple times in a impaling motion, striking several points on front of his body.
When he staggered backwards, he gripped the chain with both hands as hard as he could and smirked, forcing his weapon to arc and come back around as it circulated around the Jonin, but the chain itself quickly and unexpectedly wrapped around her as a makeshift trap rope. It tightened to the point where the sickle was halted and hooked around her neck, but not dealing any damage to her skin.
"...Gotcha." The rogue grinned as he pulled Hana in, then immediately delivered a punch to her gut and pulled her even closer to where he removed the sickle and grabbed her neck to hold her in place. "Once my prey is trapped in this position, there's no escape. I'll enjoy beating you until you can no longer feel pain...then my scythe will deal with the rest."
This...was bad. She still kept a hold on her staff, but at the same time, her arms were completely tied and she could barely move the arm she was holding the staff. But as the man said this, he literally proceeded to striking her several times in her stomach, then releasing her as he kick her in the side. The way he wrapped the chain around her, most of her vital points were exposed for him to attack where he want while still keeping her arms binded. He likely did this a lot to his victims to tie them up this good...
But as she fell down in the dirt helplessly, he was approaching again. There had to be a way for her to free herself...then it hit her. She wiggled around her legs until she could place them flat on the ground, then will-powered her way back up and on her feet. The rogue tried to pull her in, but she channeled her chakra into her foot with much crushing force to where she smashed a small hole the size of her foot that would keep her in place. This was good...since she had some naturally good physical strength, she could possibly overpower him. But now it was time to stop playing this game and set herself free already.
Sliding her other foot to the side as a means to keep still, she managed to leap upwards despite being tied up, then began twisting around like a spinning top, undoing the chain so fast that the rogue leader couldn't pull forth in time. Just as she freed herself, she kicked down the scythe as it was going to fall on her, then dived down herself. While she was fatigued a bit from the ordeal, she was going off of pure adrenaline now, dashing as fast as she could at the leader and sent a roundhouse kick to the side of his face, then proceeded to striking him with a combination of assaults from both her staff and her fiery fist.
Being overwhelmed like he was when the battle began, he simply took all the hits. Hana realized this, but since she eventually had to take a breather because of the effort of getting free, she couldn't finish him just yet without a risk, so she just settled with whacking him atop of his head with a vertical swing of the staff, applying all her strength into it with both hands. She dealt some damage to him that time though, the impact causing his head to bleed, it then visibly showing as it slid down the sides of his face. But man...did he know how to take some serious pain. Despite this, he shoved Hana away as best as he could. She nearly tripped backwards, but caught her balance as she managed to land safely on her feet and several feet away from him.
She stood there, catching her breath and the opponent doing the same. He still had a hold on his chain, so the moment he'd recover from the beating she gave him, he might try to trap her again. Guess it was finally time for Hana to go in for the kill...and she had one technique in mind that would definitely finish him off. Problem was, she'd have to overwhelm him again like the previous two times. Now that he's likely used to her speed and movements now, that might not be so easy.

Mara had dispatched the men there, and after tying them up was on her way to find Hana. Blurring through the tree's, the nubile kunoichi stopped ten yards form the battle, witnessing the last few moments of the fight as they now stood ready and at a face off. It was clear to see they had both damaged each other, but where Hana had done hers was a bit more extreme then the bandit leader. Being a skilled Jounin, she understood that the enemy was more Kenjutsu or weaponry based, making his element of fighting more close combat and hand to hand based. While Taijutsu would be effective, even specialty Taijutsu, it was still part of his element which put the two of them on even ground in the fight.
As Mara studied, she figured his weakness would be someone who could strike from a far range, and use elemental compositions form such a range to target him and make his close combat and weaponry utterly useless. In a sense, it would have been better if Mara had faced this man and Hana had taken care of the others, but that point was moot now. While not wanting to interrupt their fight, as to not injure Hana's pride, she understood unless the fellow kunoichi gained an edge within the next few moments the battle would be over for her. Thinking for a moment, she theorized if she forced the bandit leader to move upward with a single ranged attacked, making it impossible for him to dodge Hana when she came up after him, the fight could end in a matter of moments. Her hands came together in a few quick seals, as she focused on the man.
"Sensatsu Suishou"
She intoned, as she did, water began to draw form the air and sky, forming into needles on all sides of the bandit leader. From the direction they were pointed, it was easy to see they were going to converge on him from all sides except up, which left him an escape opportunity. One he would more then likely take, thinking Hana was the caster of the technique, thus meaning she would be unable to attack him while he dodged skyward. Hana would note the trajectory as well, which is what would give her the edge in this fight, to catch him off guard midair and devastate him before he had the change to react.
And with that, the needles flew at him from all sides.

Just as Hana readied herself, she realized the chain beside her foot moved a little. She was right. He was attempting to trap her again. She'd likely wouldn't break free this time and it'd be the end of her if she slipped up even once. However, she didn't expect needles to appear out of nowhere. From the obvious look of things, they were aimed at the rogue. It had to be Mara's doing...and just in time too. Even she was beginning to have her doubts that she would get out of this alive.
But it seemed as if the leader didn't know about this. "...So you DO know ninjutsu! Clever, but not good enough!" He grinned as he realized there was absolutely nothing targeting him from above. So he leaped high in the air, but since Hana realized he had the biggest opening ever there, she smirked as she spun her staff around viciously in one hand and rocketed herself upwards in the sky after the thug. The moment Hana came into contact with him, he settled with a very shocked expression. There was no way she could have moved that fast after performing a jutsu, he thought. But it was time to get him while he was thrown off balance.
She punctured a couple of areas on his body with the staff before flipping forward in a complete 360 angle before she channeled her fire chakra primarily into one leg.
Fire Fist Art: Diving Phoenix
He was staggered from the previous attack, then with that final opening, her flaming drop kick struck him in the center of his chest, the flames around her leg now forming and spreading out like a fire bird. As the fires were eating away at his front body, he was being launched downwards as Hana kept her foot in place. When his back collided with the ground, the force from the technique caused a small shockwave to spread omni-directional. Since she had great control over her chakra even when she was exhausted like now, she was safe from injuring her leg in the fall. As for her opponent...
The dust from crash back down onto ground level began to clear as she kept her foot on his chest, the rogue smashed into the ground and injured near the point of death, as it was obvious just by how he was seemingly unconscious and had coughed up a lot of blood. Her attack should have completely shattered his chest bones when executed like that, plus the collision from the ground should have sealed the deal.
He sure wasn't moving this time though. Of course, she did catch him with a direct hit, so you'd have to be invincible to not take that much damage from it. But this guy was full of surprises, so as a precaution, Hana kept her foot down on his chest as she tilted her head back and forth, looking to see where her ally was. From what she had seen before the battle started and left her to handle the others, only she was capable of a jutsu like that.

Hana's answer would come from a rustling in the bushes. A figure slowly emerging and then beginning to rush the Jounin. As she was recovering from her attack, the figure got ever closer until it was easy to tell that it was not Mara, but another of the bandits. It was about ten feet from Hana, when an audible sound resonated the area.
THUNK
As the back of one of her metal fans collided with the back of the mans head, Mara appearing in a blur and poof of smoke right behind the man. His eyes rolled into the back of his head, and he collapsed forward, like the unskilled being he was. The man became a heap on the ground as Mara regained her poise and turned to Hana. Her hand touched the radio inside her collar, as she got in touch with Konohagakure intelligence.
"Kyûin Marā, Kaen Hanayako, all clear. Have some criminals for processing, lattitude 48 n, 53 sw, long 12 e al clear"
She said into the mic, and then turned to Hana, a smile on her face. It was clear the day had been one, but it seemed Hana had put more strain on herself in her fight then Marā, but then again, Mara was a ninjutsu specialist, so it was easy to tell how she pulled such things without any real strain. Her chakra was about halfway, if it was to be gauged, meaning that she should caution from this point out but all in all was fine to continue of Hana needed more support.
"I'm guessing you saw the opening
Good thing too, he doesn't look it, but I'd say this rogue is someone with military or at least ninja training"
She said, examining the defeated leader a bit closer before looking to Hana.
