When the shadowy figure approached after she realized it wasn't who she was looking for, she braced herself until Mara appeared and whacked him silly. She sighed a bit with relief as she completely dispersed her Ootori Staff as the chakra-created weapon disappeared. She still had her wonders about Mara and her jutsu, and how impressive quick she took out the other rogues where she left them, even if they weren't trained very well. Still she returned her approached with a smile as well.
Looking down to the defeated leader, she let out another sigh. "...Yeah. I didn't think he'd be this troublesome, not to mention scythe and chain is an odd combination I've never faced. If you didn't show up when you did, I'd probably still be struggling right now...or worse, another one of his victims."
She took a moment to examine her injuries minus the obvious one she can't see on her back. They weren't really bad. If anything, it was her fatigue and loss of chakra that made it seem like she was injured all over, for the only other wound from that scythe was on her right cheek. Not to mention she was a little sore in the places he punched and kicked her in. But at least it wasn't serious enough to hinder her movement. She just needed to catch a breather.
But this meant that her mission was over, looking back to Mara now. "Is the peddler safe? Since the mission's almost over, I can properly ask about the task force you're forming. What's going on?" At least, that's what she thought: Some sort of mission was involved in this. Wouldn't know if she asked though. "Not sure if you'll find me useful or not. After all, I've just recently became a Jonin, this being my second mission since the promotion."

She nodded, the old man was probably back there kicking the tied up bandits. Seeing as the woman was a recent Jounin, Mara didn't know what to make of her. A Jounin was much better then other ninja, or even fighters, as they were prized as the village elite, the top tier shinobi and usually most trusted.
"Yes he is fine... As for the task force we shall see, you have some skill but we don't need fighting prowess, this is supposed to be under the radar recon and info gathering...
Think you can handle something like that?"
Mara asked, as she looked to the woman, unlike herself, Hana did seem a bit taxed from this one battle with one person. While that person had been more then a standard bandit, hence Hana's appointment to the protective detail, if Mara hadn't shown up she would have most definitely lost. The number of enemies, their weaponry, not to mention this above par leader and fighter would have taken Hana with ease.
It was those situations that Jounin were meant to be able to handle, ruthlessly efficiently if need be. Loss of life was part of their job, and it was one thing to engage a strong opposition in singular combat. It was quite another to do the same with a small platoon of others attacking and shooting at you with crossbows. Mara had her doubts about Hana, since she was a newly appointed, she didn't think she was ready for something that could be much more dangerous then bandits. But, she was willing to let Hana decide if she was ready for such a thing.

"Hmm...I see." Recon and info gathering, eh? She had to admit to herself that most of her missions were strict combat-oriented and only went on a handful of recon missions throughout her previous history. A newly appointed Jonin like her still lacked the the necessary skill, just that her battle prowess and intelligence was at least worthy of the title. She gazed downwards at the defeated bandit leader, finally taking her foot off his chest as it was obvious at this point that he was out for the count or he may have stopped breathing. As much force she placed in her attack, he should have been dead anyway.
After the question directed to her, she stalled for a few seconds as she crossed her arms and tried to ponder more on it quickly. However, since she was sought out, there was no need to hesitate on a reply, so the young Kaen smiled brightly.
"Sure. While it's definitely not within my specialty, I'm supposed to be able to handle any mission given to me, no matter what it is. I'll try not to disappoint you if you do find me worthy in the end."
...While her smile masked her true feelings, her last sentence brought up some rather unsettling memories of her past disappointments to her family name. But she was a full grown woman now, not some useless little girl anymore. Dragging the past failures in was pointless. Besides, she had someone out there that needed to be shown that she's grown into a stronger individual...wherever he was.

She nodded, with Hana on board, they had their main combat spot filled. As Mara went through in her head the spots, there would need to be four people, each one specializing in certain areas. Mara covered ninjutsu and long range, as well as cover and scouting. Hana would be their main enforcer and close proximity protection to their sensor, which Mara still didn't know who to fit into that spot. Perhaps some research might help there. And lastly they needed a tracker and all around ninja capable of supporting the other three.
"Good, with you that makes two---three if he signs on, leaving the last spot and probably our most difficult to place spot"
With that, Mara handed Hana a patch to be emblazoned on her uniform or flackjacket.
鬼先陣
Which meant Oni Senjin or Demon Vanguard. Rather fitting, given the task they had been assigned.

"...'He'? She curiously asked, but soon after shoved the wonder aside as she was handed a patch with the apparent name of the force she'll be working with. Just the name alone made her even more curious as to what they'll actually be doing. But seeing as there was no need to ask such things since she'd already gained an idea (sorta) on what she'll be doing, she graciously accepted and had it placed on the right-hand side of her upper chest area on her uniform.
"So, I'm the first recruit, eh? If only I knew more reliable Jonin at the village, I could probably help out there--"
Suddenly, Hana caught a glimpse of something moving below her. Her first initial reaction would be to look down on the bandit leader, who was actually still conscious...or rather just woke up. But with the bones in his chest brutally shattered and other of his body parts badly damaged, he was just on the ground moaning in pain as his hand was shaking while trying to grab the chain of his scythe. Though since he could barely even move his pinky finger, his attempts in trying to regain his weapon was quite futile since he lacked the strength to even pick the thing up, much less pull the weapon with the chain.
"...Goodness. This guy's really stubborn..." Hana gazed downwards on him. She figured he'd fall unconscious again sooner or later, but not taking any chances, she grabbed the chain herself and reeled in the large weapon and since she possessed the strength to do so, she carried the weapon herself temporarily so he wouldn't have a chance in accessing it anymore. She didn't really want to kill him, but rather, she needed to keep him alive so they can question him later...once he could talk. She was actually grateful her finishing attack didn't kill him off.
Afterward, she looked back to Mara. "So, what's next?"

She nodded, glancing down and then returning her gaze.
"First official one, as directed by order of the Hokage... I'll send you a message as to our first gathering after speaking with one of our other recruits, Hatake Kariire"
She said, letting it slip this was a big deal. And it was, but it was a bit hush hush, now with her first recruit and the bodyguard slot filled she could focus on the other two.

(OOC: Sorry. I won't take so long to reply next time.)
--
"All right, I'll be waiting then. I'll try not to disappoint you." She shouldn't, since she apparently still had some time left to officially conclude her mission. And if she still had time left afterwards, Hana could get a little practice in once she took the time to recuperate from her loss of chakra, as well as tend to the injuries she sustained. Hopefully next time, she wouldn't end up embarrassing herself...though she had to admit that she could have handled this at least a little better if she didn't wait until the last minute to use her Fire Fist Arts.
Looking back to Mara with a smile, she was finally ready to get back to work. "Thanks for everything here. I'll go back and grab the peddler before he may end up getting himself in trouble. I'll be able to handle the rest from here." Yeah, since Mara said some of the bandits were still there, but tied up...and she could tell the old coot was pretty reckless.

Life happens, its okay. Mara nodded, as she was feeling good about this. She looked off towards the village then back to Hana.
"Alright, I'll be sure to send you details about the teams meeting to discuss our mission at hand"
She said, as she gathered herself and looked skyward.
It was time to go.

(OOC: I think I'll end the topic here with this post.)
Returning a nod of her own accompanied with a wave of the hand, Hana quickly leaped forth and through the sea of trees as she backtracked to the initial point of battle...which actually wasn't even far away at all from where they were now. She was a little worried about leaving the unconscious leader there alone, but...well, it's obvious that he's not going anywhere for a while!
Emerging safely from the trees, she landed on solid ground as there were many bodies scattered and laid out in the center of the area...wow, Mara really did a number on them. The few that were still alive and tied up were still there near some bushes though, where...the peddler was throwing pebbles at them.
"...Yeeeeah! Eat rocks!" He had about a handful of them, and were tossing them one-by-one at random to the tied up thugs, who were obviously getting very irritated. Hana was almost tempted to just stand there to see what would happen, but when one of the rogues sprung into action while still tied, she dashed on in and delivered a strong hand chop to the back of the thug's neck to knock him out, alarming the others and causing them to sit still out of fear of getting hit too.
Letting out a sigh, Hana rested a hand on her hip. "...All right, knock it off, old man. Sending someone in a blind rage like that can actually give them a surprising boost of strength off of pure adrenaline..." Yeah, that bandit could have grown angry enough to break himself free. "After a team of ninja arrive here to pick these guys and their leader up, I'll resume escorting you to the neighboring village."
The middle-aged man had a big goofy smile on his face as he slowly walked towards Hana with both arms stretched out as if he was going in for a big hug. "Oh, uh...all right. You're the big shot master ninja here! I'll do whateeever you say~!"
...The Jonin didn't waste any time sending a punch to the side of the man's face, while smirking irritably. "...Hands off." She had a feeling she'd have to resort to knocking him away eventually. It's so fairly common for men his age to be so perverted. But at least she'll have him off her back, or at least his hands off of her really soon.
