The road to Suna, how long could it be? He thought to himself
I wonder if im lost again, he said. Maybe ill see more people on the road that i can ask for directions, he pondered.
Running low on food, but at least i dont have to carry water, he said with a grin.
He had been on the road for some time now, and every day was the same rainy weather, few people, every other day or so. How he wished for a town or a small village somewhere he could have a real meal, maybe relax a little bit. It definitely would beat sleeping in the rain, Does it ever stop raining, he screamed aloud. As a fool with no thought when he raised his face to scream at the sky he missed a branch, and found himself welcoming his old friend, dirt. Covered in mud he sat there dripping wet, muttering to himself and fixing his clothes.

Amegakure no sato was not the place for random people. An air of paranoia, old and yet still new was a in the air. One such paranoid persons, by the name of Sachiro, was doing routine patrols in the outlying lands. Sure, they knew people came through here, ut once again...paranoid... Something he had spoke about with Ryuze not too long ago. This day being a few weeks after the stalking he had been doing of her ladyship. Not that he didn't trust the woman, but because he was worried for her safety...
As he came to a perch some twenty yards away in the treeline, rain dropping all around him, but didn't seem to bother him. He was an Amegakure shinobi after all. He noticed the blindfolded guy, looking to be early twenties maybe, sporting a Sunagakure headband hanging loosely form his pocket.
"Sand Ninja? Here?... odd"
His words, moving through his mind as he thought about other possibilities of the young mans presence. He didn't know if the guy was blind, or was a ruse to lure him out of hiding, so he held his position, as he thought over the possibilities. While the rain poured down, the booming of thunder off in the distance, Sachiro decided to make his presence known if it hadn't been already. In a blur he was gone from his perch, appearing some twenty yards down the road a ways form the younger man, and standing with a crouch.
"You there, what business of yours causes you to breach our lands borders?"
He asked, plain and simple as he looked to the man from afar.

Hearing words echo from the distance, he tilted his ear towards where the stranger stood. A humming biting at his ear drum he allowed his senses to flow out towards the man, sensing his energy.
Who's lands have I trespassed upon, he retorted to the man gathering himself out of the puddle.
where had this man appeared from he wondered, normally his sense would have alerted him to the presence of others so close. but this was strange, whether he was a figment of his imagination or a specter byoki could not tell.
Allowing his senses to scope out this man he assumed the man must be one of the individuals the old man had once spoke of saying they were like shadows never seen and better to not be trusted, the shinobi.

He looked at the guy, then just kind of tilted his head. Was he serious? How could one not know they are in Ame no kuni, it rained all the time, that was like the one and only needed clue. Still, the head band wasn't a lie, the man was probably from the Sand Village and trying to play dumb.
"Odd that you have a Sunagakure no sato headband, yet don't know what Ame no kuni is... Ame no kuni is the land you are currently in, which hides the Village Hidden in the Rain...
So the question still stands, who are you, and what are you doing in our country?"
He asked, looking around for signs of a possible ambush then paying his attention back to the man.

He knew now why the old man had told him avoid the large cities, too many people asking strange questions he didn't have the answers to. With a sigh he realized he would have to answer the man otherwise with almost certainty trouble would follow
My name is Byōki no zenchō no ko and I am traveling to Suna, I am a weary traveler this symbol you made reference to that i hold at my waist is not my own. But i seek to find out who it belongs to in hopes to understand my past, where i come from, where my home is and who family are. He stated clearly and calmly, but i do require assistance i am lost and without shelter from the rain, my food is running short. I hope you can find kindness in your heart to help a poor blind traveler? He stated with sadness in his tone.
Reaching out with his Chakra sensing technique he looked for the slightest shift in the Shinobi's chakra in hopes to be warned of a possible attack from this man.

Part of him wanted to be nice and take the guy someplace safe. But no, he was a shinobi, from a village that was steeped in lies, deceit and paranoia, nothing is as it seemed.
"I dont think so, if you are a Sunagakure shinobi, this would be a trap---but if your not, then you are in need of desperate help considering what you carry, where you are, and what your predicament is...
Odd that you would be named that as well, as that is more of a rumor name, do you have a real family name?"
He asked, looking to the guy and wondering just what was up.

He was not used to be treated with such distrust from strangers, from the villagers he had met maybe. But this world that he had forgotten was a strange one that he didn't really understand.
Maybe there is a way I can prove to you that I am in fact in need of help, he said with sincerity. Maybe if you wont assist me yourself, you can point me in the direction of the nearest village. Hopefully I am not to far away, he assumed this man must be guarding something otherwise his obvious paranoia would have no bearing.
If it would make you feel safer i would gladly drop my weapon and keep my hands in clear view? He questioned, hoping to gain some sort of insight into what it is this man feared so much.

The closest village, was actually his own, but bringing in a potential threat was not something he was prone to do. His course of action was either A)give the man some food and send him on his way or B) just kind of send him on his way. It wasn't a good plan, but it was one that would put no one at risk. As the young man put his words out and offered to give himself a potential vulnerable situation, Sachiro shook his head. His hand fished into the pouch around his back as he pulled out a small green pill.
"HyourouGan---one of these will keep you going physically and mentally---until you can break and get some food...
Closest place, is not actually the way you are going, you turn around, its a day and a half walk to Tanzaku Gai, in the Fire Country----though the pill will keep you up for three days, so you'll be fine... Follow the road, I'll make sure to let the Fire Country envoys know of your approach"
He said as he held oput his palm with the pill and waited, trying to gauge if the man could see or at the very least tell where he was. This was one way to detail the younger shinobi's capabilities.

He turned his head to try and properly gauge where the mans head stood, trying to show that he was aware of some things. Put finding the mans hand was a task. The truth was he could use his sensing jutsu to properly gain a sense of the shape of the man and find his hand but would that give away to much.
After deciding his action he gently set his palm against the mans in hopes to except this token. I will gladly except any token of aid you can offer me, he said with a friendly smile.
This was his chance for the minute second when his hand brushed against the mans as a blind man searching in the dark, he released the power of his Sensing Transmission.
He released into the man a sense of trust that he was no one to be feared, after all he was a man that was set on a path of peace.

He caught the flare of chakra, as it was used to pass on this feeling from the man. Sachiro was no stranger to jutsu, and had gotten ready for a defensive strike should something go awry. But when the man took the pill, and nothing came through, he was a bit more at ease, or at least sounded like he was. He never truly un-tensed, but made it seem as if he did. Namely because---Ninja---traps...etc...
"Byoki... Do you know what it is you carry?"
He asked speaking of the headband as he stepped a bit away form the guy.

He glanced down to the strange headband he had been told was the symbol of the desert people. Then turning his head back towards the Shinobi he spoke, I cannot say i know much of what this represents only what I have been told.
I am told that this symbol represents people err.. Shinobi that reside in the desert. I am unsure of why it was found on me when i awoke without any previous memories but i am told that it may lead me on the path to finding my home and my family.
I am not lying to you if that is what you think, if you wish you may test me by whatever methods you are capable of, He spoke with sincerity.

He looked at the guy, his skin didn't have the sun touched look you find in the desert folk. He also had some traits that seemed to originate someplace else, the covered features, ability to push feelings. The desert would be a death sentence for someone like him, but Sachiro wondered just who the man belonged to.
"Something is bothering me about you
What is your family name?"
He asked, wondering if the man had any known or traceable lineage.

I was told I had a striking resemblance to a family known as the Yamanaka but where they are located is beyond me. I was following the only lead I had which was this headband, the question of who this Shinobi was or why I was found with this is still a mystery to me.
Byoki pondered for a moment trying to think of anything else he remembered, but only pictures from his dreams passed through his mind.
I do remember something else, but it is vague, i remember trees of variants of color and size. He exhaled with a look of despair, despair for a home he couldn't remember and family who he hoped was still out there. But that is all i remember everything else is just bits and pieces i see, like dreams remembered for brief moments after waking.

A long time ago, the Yamanaka had been well known. They were useful during the war, and their clan is one of the few in Konohagakure that could actually control a mind without genjutsu. Sachiro knew of the name, due to the flower shop, and it being one of the more famous places talked about through the alliance with Konohagakure. As such, a Sunagakure headband and heading towards Kaze no kuni, was not a good idea.
"So, you choose to follow a headband instead of a name?
Do you know what is happening, or has happened in Sunagakure?"
He said, seeing as the guy was about to put himself in bad place, where demons ran amok...quite literally.

Byoki paid special attention to the Shinobi questions, to his mood, his posture, even his chakra. Obviously there were things dangerous happening in the world but to them byoki was oblivious. I was not sure which path to follow, but a man i trusted had stated that he felt following the path of this headband would lead me to answers. He paused for a moment, there are things you know about my path to the desert, and you question why i would not follow the path of the name first?
He stepped under a tree and sat at the base of its trunk, setting his sword and simple pack aside.
Is there a path you would deem to be the better path to lead me to answers? He stated as he started to nibble upon the meager rations he had left, and with a simple hand gesture offering to share with the man.
After which with a draught of water from a nearby leaf he consumes the pill the Shinobi had given him.

The guy was a bit too deep for what Sachiro meant, as the rain began to let up. He didn't bother to look up, as he stared at the man in a questioning way. Is he really naive, or does he honestly think its smart to go someplace unknown in this world? He thought to himself, before looking at the guy once more.
"There have been dark rumors from the desert, about a demon running rampant---not the best way to go if you are looking for answers... Though if you continue this route, there is a monastery on the way into the desert, some crazy old spiritualist or monks or something live there, they would be more then willing to put you up for a few days---its a short walk maybe half a day...
Though, your family name is a much better lead... Shorter distance to safety or getting your knowledge faster, your call..."
He said, as he spoke about both ways and helped the guy weigh his options.

I will weigh my options, but my current reality is that i have been on the road for weeks and would enjoy a few days in a dry place with a warm meal. If you would tell me directions to wear you suggest i can find my answers i will seek it out after i have rested and reinvigorated my traveling spirit.
He stared to the horizon there are still a few hours left in the day if i leave swiftly i may make it to this monastery before the morning if it is only a half a day away, he thought.
I will leave for this monastery and as i stated later seek out the yamanaka clan, thank you for your help, I am in your debt.

He nodded, as he pulled out a blank scroll and some ink, and began jotting down a short little map. He put down a compass rose on it and an indication where he was and which way he would need to go.
"Alright, so take this scroll and just follow this road, when you come to the borders of Ame no kuni, and Kaze no kuni, head west with the sun, until you come to some cliffs and follow them til you see the monastery up overlooking them. Easy to spot, has a huge statue of Buddha near it"
He said, knowing the general gist of where the place was, cause it was well known. At least thats what all the fliers posted about the place said.

With a gracious bow he accepted the map from the Shinobi, and then gathered his things.
Thank you again for your help, and the map, may fate be gracious to you for all your days.
With one last thank you and a nod he stepped back onto the path this time with a place in mind, he was heading for the monastery.

He nodded, and watched as the guy began to saunter off down the road. He would wait til he was down the road a way, before returning to the cover of the treeline, as he followed the guy just until he reached the border of Ame no kuni and Kaze no kuni. He did this just to be sure of the guys intention, in case it was all a ruse.
Shinobi, go figure.
