On the road to the Seishen Monastery

It had only been a few hours since Byoki had crossed out of the lands of rain into the lands of wind. Based on the discouragement of the Shinobi that he should avoid going to Suna he was rather cautious of any new travelers he passed upon this road.

The pill the Shinobi had given him had definitely done well to curb his hunger and weariness. Yet still the idea of a warm bed and hot meal absolutely lifted his spirits

Once more pondering upon what the Shinobi has told him of the happenings in Suna Byoki thought it would be better to hide the Headband of the Sand Shinobi deep in his small travel pack. Looking around with his senses to make sure he was alone when the task was done he continued on his journey

The feel of the cool wind on his skin sent a shiver down Kou's spine as he pulled his jacket on tighter. He had come to the land of wind to visit some family that he had not really seen since he became a shinobi of the leaf. Now all he wanted was to head back home so he could get back to work, so he began to walk a little faster. His eyes scanned ahead spotting a man walking toward him with a look that was familiar in some way.

'Pretty sure I know that guy...'

Kou thought as he sort of stared at the dude in a questioning manner that would make most think there was something on their face. Pulling a hand from his pocket he re-adjusted his Konoha band that was wrapped around his for head. As they drew closer together Kou squinted his eyes as if it would give him a better view. Suddenly it came to him where he saw this man before...

"Are you from Konoha?!"

He spoke in a surprised tone as a smile ripped across his face it was rare to run across a fellow Konoha ninja out here.

Byoki stopped in confusion having heard and sensed the man approaching, wondering to himself how many others traveled this path so late into the night.

What did you say? Oh from Konoha, no i cant say i have been there or at least not recently.

Why do you ask, are you from there?

Byoki reached out with his chakra to sense this traveler wondering if he would see any hint of malice or hatred, to warn him of an impending attack.

He fixed the cloth covering his eyes while he waited for the mans response.

He pondered to himself, what would have given him away as being from this place Konoha. He thought about what the old man had said once to him of being the spitting image of a Yamanaka other then his hair color of course. Is this what would give him away? He bared no marking of the place of the trees and yet constantly people where able to recognize him by his heritage. Was this family he had been told he might be a part of so great that they were known so widely.

I am just a simple traveler on my way to the Seishen monastery, blind as I am and weary from travel I would hope for no trouble.

With the man's answer Kou cocked an eyebrow as he began to scratch his head as if he was confused. Shaking his head free of thinking too much on the matter he looked over the man as if sizing him up. Hearing the mans question Kou reached his hand up to move his bangs revealing his Konoha head-band, just before he could answer the man kept speaking.

"Oh. So you think because I am a Konoha shinobi that I am a trouble maker?!"

Instantly Kou began licking his lips while he popped the collar of his jacket up in a frustrated matter. He began pacing like he was trying to resist jumping the guy that instant, for a moment his eyes met with the mans.

"Aw man... you just done messed up, its been like 30 days since I last punched a fool in the face. Was doing so good too..."

He shook his again before he began to crack his knuckles and stretching prepping himself for a fight. Suddenly Kou threw his hand out toward the man leaving it there as if he expected the man to slap it. A broad smile came across his face to show the man that he meant him no harm.

"Just messing with you, the names Kou of Konoha"

Byoki reached out his own hand after hearing the mans words, struggling to find it he finally hit his mark and grasped the mans hand. Shaking Kou's hand byoki let his chakra flow through his hand using its power to express something words could not.

Byoki felt lost and alone, he was sorrowful for his lost family and land. He so badly wanted to find his home.

As the man took his hand Kou suddenly felt a overwhelming sensation of sadness wash over him. It was like he was lost in time for a moment so intense that his yes began to water. Looking into the mans eyes Kou got the feeling that he felt the same way, but was not sure why he felt like this.

"Man. Your a real downer..."

Pulling his hand away he turned as if looking behind him as he quickly wiped his eyes with his sleeve. Tugging at his jacket Kou cleared his throat before turning back to the man with a large smile on his face.

"You want to get drunk? Something tells me you could use a drink"

Byoki knew that his jutsu could be useful on some people, but this man interested him the most. He had never shared an emotion with someone he was just trying to express how he was lost. But this man had felt the emotions surging inside Byoki feelings he did not even want to admit to himself.

Where did you say you were from Konoha? I have heard there is a family there called the Yamanaka i was told i should seek them out. If you would assist me in this journey i would be in your debt.

For now though i still have a few hours to get to the Seishen Monastery i was told it would be safe for me to seek shelter there, i am sure there hospitality is not lacking, they would allow another if you need shelter yourself?

Byoki thought of the old man who had helped him, and how he would probably laugh till he cried if he saw Byoki now. He would remind Byoki of the conversation of fate they had and how it seemed like all things were falling into their place. Maybe Byoki would start to believe in fate as well, but that was not assured just yet.

"Yeah. I am from Konoha, and yes there is a family there with that name"

For a moment Kou just stood there scanning the man as if expecting to notice something about him. It was a debate for him for the fact that if he was gone too long the village may think he went missing and come after him. Then again that sounds like a bigger adventure then any mission they could give him, so with a shrug he threw his hands into his pockets.

"Meh. Not like I am in a rush to get home... who knows maybe this will turn out to be an adventure"

With a smile Kou turned to start walking in the direction the man was originally heading. Suddenly he stopped as he had just realized something and looked back to the man.

"So... we still getting drunk?"
