There's a need to address some glaring concerns and repetitive annoyances in the jutsu process that has gotten to the point of being frustrating on part of myself. I understand that this is Naruto and the way jutsu works is one of the more attractive parts of the setting. But it is also the more complicated and delicate part of the site, often with numerous checks and balances so that we not only create a lore abiding setting but also a “fair” one. There's a great deal of deliberation, feedback, and knowledge check that goes to trying to maintain as close of a standard on the site as we can and in order to do so, we need you to help us-help you.
With that said I'm going to point out some 'tips' that are essential to giving the reviewer less of a hassle, streamline the process, and more likely get your stuff approved. Helping us make things easier is better for everyone, so you can get out of the tedium and more to the roleplay.
-Sites such as Leaf Ninja or Narutopedia are good, not perfect, but good sources if looking for a catalog of jutsu and how to word techniques, with many from Leaf Ninja supporting the minimalist approach. When in doubt, refer there to see examples of jutsu for ranks in power, limitations, and examples of what is feasible for characters in relation to their skill levels. A run in the mill Jounin should not be sporting S-rank Fireball techniques allegedly seen only from the Uchiha-to create a ridiculous example.
-Jutsu descriptions should be kept in a balance of what is needed to tell us what it does, it's power, and if need be, how. Anything else is not necessary and only stalls the process of the staff member having to filter out through description fluff to wonder if the technique is plausible or not. We do not need the jutsu's history. We do not need the lore, previous users, rumored applications or any detail that deters away from the core facet of what the jutsu does.
-Bloodlines, as shown in the series, have patterns. They are either two elements or a stand alone element combined together to create something new. Examples such as Ice, Lava, Wood. Or they are a physical mutation that grants the user a supernatural trait, whether it be eye sight, sensory, merging with your siblings, or some other physical augmentation.
The are not just an excuse to justify the impossible without illustrating the method how. They are not the go to if your jutsu get denied because the description wasn't suitable enough. They are not a catch-all for concepts. All Bloodlines, in the Manga, Anime, and even Movies, have followed that trend and even ones that stretch the idea loosely draw back into limitations emphasized by the latter criteria.
-Jutsu do not act in absolutes and techniques will always come down to multiple aspects being weighed into when two characters or other attributes collide. Your description being able to break bones may not break someone who has a history of physical endurance and toughness. Your fire jutsu that melts rock may not melt rock from someone who among the more renowned doton users and funnels his formations with chakra, the list goes on. This is an expectation that needs to be set in order to steer away from the dangerous patterns I've seen from techniques lately.
Feel free to comment as you'd like. This isn't a "staff post" as it is just me trying to point out things so it is easier for everyone.

I don't even see how you can hate from outside the club, you can't even get in.

Thank you for your thoughts shimada. Your post has helped me a lot to understand better ways to approach jutsu. I have always enjoyed hearing constructive feedback by staff members and will make sure to keep these core ideas you have posted in mind with any future jutsu applications. Keep up the good work and thanks for all the work you put in to help this site continue to function and be fun.

Meh, I barely do this. I just get to the point or try to. I do try to give my techniques some age to make them malleable instead of just saying "he has all dem techs" though. Maybe that's too much, I don't know?
