He woken up early this morning the sun just starting to crest the horizon its brightness radiating and bringing a warm glow to the otherworldly cold that is the night in the desert.
The boy had slipped out of his small bedroll trying to keep quiet in hopes to not wake his sensei. She normally slept pretty light but he had hoped he would be OK to step away from their small camp for a few hours this lovely morning.
The cold sand lightly moving with each new step he took from the camp. He trudged on looking across the lands that surrounded their camp they had set for the evening, he saw a small little village of in the distance. Knowing the little village was their intended destination today Guoduan thought it better to head the opposite direction of the village to get in some morning training.
After a few minutes of gentle stretches Guoduan started to fall into his normal morning exercise routine. A light jog, followed by push-ups, sit-ups, handstand push-ups, which normally ended with Guoduan standing on his hands for as long as he could.
Hand standing at the top of a sand dune balancing his weight against the pressing wind, every new breeze making him compensate with different muscles. He breathed gently, focusing his mind he envisioned the strands of chakra flowing through his body, giving him life, strength, and power. He started to work on their pathways first diverting in his mind small amounts of the streams and sending these flows to his hands. The energies as he imagined moved through his body flowing and collecting in his hands.
With his last bit of strength before he is sent back to his feet or toppling on his head Guoduan pushed himself off the ground with his hands. Spinning quickly guoduan lands on his feet, his hands then flowing into seals. Quickly he pressed his chakra through his body, using simple jutsu after jutsu as quickly as he could and his body would allow him. He normally could only do a few very quickly like that but it would usually leave him needing rest before more jutsu could be accomplished.
His Sensei's voice echoed in his mind, there is no rush guoduan the jutsu takes time to master and the chakra to use them all even greater time. Do not be foolish and think you can master them all so young, but guoduan was sometimes foolish.
Thinking grandiose dreams of being a great kazekage or of having a power equal to that of the great shinobi of the past. All men and women dream, though but this boy would be enraptured by his dreams, sitting on the dunes he would train with his goals in mind. His dreams ever present, working harder for them using them to push him beyond his limits. Further and further he would push himself each day, training harder and harder, for longer time periods each time.
His life was one of constant training in all things, where to sleep, what can and cannot be eaten in the desert. Traveling through storms and dealing with the nature of the desert, day by day the boy grew accustomed to the hard life of the desert.
Yet today was a little different it was a village day, the boy and his sensei only traveled into villages when they absolutely needed to. For more provisions, medicine and food, clothes, sometimes even a bath if they had not found a way to bath in the desert.
A few hours later after Guodun had finished his morning exercises he sat on the tip of one of the dunes hiding their simple little camp, waiting for his sensei to wake.

After their visit to the town yesterday guoduan and his sensei had returned to their camp for one more night.
The next morning... ---------------------------------------------------------
The cycle of his mornings had always blurred together, day in and day out avoiding villages living amongst the sand, meager rations and only possession is what they could carry. It was a simple life his father and sensei had chosen for him, for his training. To remove all distractions and prepare him for a future his father feared was inevitable. None the less the boy rarely allowed this life to dampen his spirits, believing it would strengthen him and prepare him for the life of a Kaze No Kuni shinobi. There may have been other reasons his father and sensei had chosen this life for his training the last few years.
He arose before his sensei feeling the warm suns radiating glow falling upon his face. Grabbing a few pieces of jerky and a drink of water, he stepped into his shoes. Shaking the remaining particles of sand from himself he grabbed his gourd by the strap hauling it onto his back. Resetting the strap to a comfortable position he walked quietly out of the camp into the desert.
Starting his morning exercise with a jog as he always did he set a medium pace across the sand making sure to not venture to far away. He jogged until his breathing was heavy, until he felt the suns radiating glow sapping his strength with heat. Sweat pouring across his brow he pulled his gourd off his back, then started to do push ups and sit ups. After which he stood upon his hands and started to do his handstand push ups. After finishing several reps of this workout he then stood on his hands, balancing himself as he always did. Allowing his chakra to flow through his body, the stream flowing to his hands. He pushed off the ground except this time deciding to practice his magnet release techniques.
His feet landed on the sand and his hands flew into seals, a stream flowed out of the top of the gourd its metal specks shooting slivers of light in all directions. The stream flowing to him becoming part of him flowing around him like a wave lapping at the edge of the shore. Its metallic splendor churning through the air around him then guoduan formed it, its shape transforming with every movement of guoduans hands. The dust twisted moving and lashing out at imaginary opponents, striking the sand and whistling through the air. He practiced his techniques one after another after another, until his body felt ragged from the strain. With his last bits of energy before this mornings workout would be at its end, guoduan controlled the flowing weave of metal dust back into his gourd. As the last specks fell into the gourd the metal cork flew back into its place. Guoduans exhaustion took its toll falling to his knees for a moment he breathed a few heavy breathes then regained his footing.
Walking slowly back to camp he thought about the conversation he had with his sensei the day before. Chunin exams are coming up in a few weeks, we should probably start our journey to the land of grass early if we wish to not take the main path.

A few days later... --------------------------------------------
The path had been long for guoduan his sensei keeping her pace strong and steady the whole time. Even though they were on the path to the chunin exams guoduan was still made to train for hours at a time during their breaks. Working through his hand seals, using his jutsu, it was all standard training he had been doing for years. Basics are the key to success, his sensei would always say. Build your strength upon a strong foundation and you will withstand the storm of combat. Allow your foundation to become weak and the structure of your jutsu will break.
Standing on slippery rocks in the middle of a stream the sound of the creek weaving its web through the land. Less movement Guoduan, less movement, the smallest movement to accomplish the most shows the true warrior. Guoduan continued through his rotation of hands seals, thinking upon what his sensei had said.
Less movement guoduan said in a whisper, allowing the sounds of the babbling brook to wash over him he breathed deep a calm breath.
There you go his sensei said, your movements should be like the water of this creek. Never fighting with itself allowing its movement to flow freely, be as the water guoduan. Now call to your element guoduan, his sensei said in a calm voice. He reached out toward the gourd with one hand concentrating on his chakra.
His sensei interrupted him with a commanding voice, no guoduan not from your gourd. Call your element from the earth itself imagine the metals deep in the soil, the stone hiding their strength from you. Reach out to it guoduan feel it radiate with your chakra, pull it to you guoduan.
Guoduan imagined what his sensei had said, the veins of metals raw and powerful striped by the rock surrounding it. His chakra flowed through his feet into the earth radiating towards the metal, imagining a great hand like a shovel reaching into the earth and pulling these veins to the surface.
The ground started to vibrate, a hum like that of a tuning fork enveloping the surrounding terrain. It held for a few seconds then with a strain like a great burden upon guoduan he held his stance powerful and strong. It was as though he was trying to lift a burden to great for his strength, he strained with all his might trying to keep his concentration on the task. He held on his strength failing him, his resolve leaving him, he pushed as hard as he could for as long as he could, then it all stopped. With a exhausted gasp he let go of his focus crumbling to the ground landing in the cool pool of the creek he sat there for some time.
His sensei stepped over to the creek and helped him out. You did good she said in a soothing voice a smile across her face. Eat this she said as she handed him some jerky, then you will try again.

Bou just watched her student as she ate wondering if he was ready for what was coming, when he goes to the exams he wont be so hidden. There he may have to fight for his life without her defending him which really made her worry about him. Then there was the thoughts of what will happen after the exams, about what he would want to do with his life. She knew he would not stay in the deserts all his life.
For the past few days she has been in a sort of trance being lost in her own thoughts about the future of both of them. What would she wanted to do when he was done needing her, now that she has spent so much time teaching him. It seems that she has lost sight of where she was going in her own life, what path she wanted to take to reach her mountains peak. Though she keeps telling herself that his path was all that mattered right now, maybe it was her path to guide him to the right one.

A Day Later... ---------------------------------------------------
Guoduan waited after his morning exercises for his sensei to wake, but she was not in her bedroll. Guoduan looked around wondering where she could be, noticing no footprints on the sand he assumed she had gone for a walk on her own. Starting a small fire in the midst of the camp he warmed some stew Shinbou had made from a hunt yesterday. When the food had finally warmed up guoduan dug in adding some spices from the small spice pouch in his sensei's pack.
Oh this is gonna be good, guoduan said licking his lips the first bite was amazing. Filling his taste buds with a savory delicious flavor guoduan continued eating. Leaving the pot on a small simmer guoduan thought to leave enough for shinbou to have when she got back.

After she awoke Bou seized the alone time to take a quick bath in her make shift travel tub. When she was in the hot water she could really relax and let her thoughts go with the wind. When she got out she stretched out her muscles before putting on her attire, which was mostly a body wrap. Originally she wore it so her boobs would not get in the way, but she also like it cause guys don't gawk at her like fiends. A shiver ran down her spine as she thought of it, she hated when guys looked at women like eye candy.
Finishing up a delicious aroma came into her nose making her lick her lips, her belly growled like a beast. Quickly finishing Bou rushed to the fire where her student was warming some stew from the other night and grabbed a bowl to join in. Assuming that Gouduan had already done his morning exercises she figured they could chill for a bit before continuing. As she filled her bowl she looked over to him with a smile on her face speaking in a hearty tone.
"How's your morning so far?"

Guoduan heard the quiet footsteps travel back to the cooking fire of their camp, he quietly filled up a bowl of the stew for Shinbou. After she had a bowl she looked over at him then started talking to him.
I am doing good Guoduan said. I was working on a new technique today, it was interesting, he said with a smile.
Guoduan thought it better not to mention how easy the technique was to learn, he wasn't sure if it was because it was to simple. Or if it was just easy to learn because of his other viton training.
After shinbou would finish her first bowl guoduan served her another bowl then served himself one more. He was hungry this morning, hungry for the delicious stew.

Taking the first bowl Bou just sat watching her student wondering when he grew up. It was like it was yesterday that she first started training him to become strong. She smiled between bites as he mentioned that he was working on a new technique. It made her stop to think of what there was left for her to teach him, the thought of not being his sensei made her heart drop.
"Tell me more about your training"
She said as he poured her another bowl of her delicious soup, it was among her favorite recipes. Quickly she began scarfing down her second bowl as if it would be stolen if she did not finish it all right here and now.
