F I G H T I N G - S T Y L E· Vine Obstruction Method (つるふさぐほう, Tsuru Fusaguhō): A unique form of combat used by Kōba Igami as well as her daughter Kōba Ogi. This style of combat is first initiated by growing thick vines from the ground around their feet, which mother or daughter then moves with her chakra. Igami, in particular, can use these vines to impede physical blows with the skill of a master in martial arts. The vines can be used to block or divert attacks away from them. They can also grasp their opponent to hinder or subdue them, or even whip them.
· Spore Dispersal Method (ほうしまくほう, Hōshi Makuhō): A unique form of combat used by Kōba clan members. In order to better be able to perform long-ranged or widespread assaults as well as covert stealth attacks, clan members are able to expel microscopic spores from their mouth so long as their bloodline limit is active.
These spores can be directed through the air by the clan member's chakra to the target or target location. Laced with plant material and chakra, the spores allow clan members to grow plant life from a distance. The spores can also be laced with toxins.
T E C H N I Q U E S· Secret Garden (ひえん, Hien): Members of the Kōba clan possess blood naturally saturated with chlorophyll which, being a pigment, causes some to have a green-tinted skin tone This also causes their blood to be green. In place of keratin, their hair and nails are almost pure cellulose, similar to cotton or wood fibers.
The physical traits of Secret Garden are largely negative for members of the clan. They are physically unwell when dehydrated or not in sunlight. When in the shade or when it is night, they become weak and lethargic. They must drink water in excess, or they will quickly become fatigued.
Only when in direct sunlight and well hydrated are members of the Kōba clan as healthy as a normal human. If dehydrated or deprived of sunlight, their condition can improve if the clan member submerges themselves in water.
Physical traits aside, Secret Garden is a legendary bloodline limit. The first of Secret Garden's powers is the ability to project pheromones which in their base state can affect the emotional fortitude of animals, particularly insects. These pheromones can be altered by the user for a variety of effects.
Secret Garden's second-most prominent ability grants the user the ability to commune with nature, specifically flora and fauna. When used to converse with animals, it is described as an unique form of sensory ability which telepathically links the user to an animal.
Secret Garden's final and most blatantly well-known ability is that it grants the user an advanced nature formed through the simultaneous use of earth and water-based chakra natures. Along with this comes the impressive ability to control plant life with their chakra; including, but not limited to: creating new and often very unique forms of plant life, making it grow, causing it to move and using it to spy on others.
Plants can be produced from anywhere, including the user's body, as the user's chakra is literally converted into a source of life. Plant Release (しょくとん, Shokuton), which the bloodline is colloquially known as, is viewed by many as a sister bloodline to Wood Release, to which it shares many similarities.
· Fertile Feet (ひよくあし, Hiyoku Ashi): An ambient technique, passive in nature, belonging to Kōba Ogi. Ogi is is believed by others to be so powerful and so pure that her chakra bleeds out into the world as a source of healing and growth. This is because some of her chakra
does leak out involuntarily, in the form of Fertile Feet. The technique was subconsciously developed by Ogi out of her love for plants.
With this passive technique, Ogi can bring grass and flowers into existence just by stepping on soil. As she walks, flowers of all kind sprout up with grass in her wake. Plant life also tends to lean or bend in her direction, presumably attracted to Ogi by her vast chakra and seemingly saintly nature.
The grass and flowers which grow in her wake are not sustained by chakra, nor do they rely on it to maintain their existence. The grass and flowers live for as long as they would normally live, had they progressed to their current state naturally.
· Green Thumb (みどりのゆび, Midori no Yubi): An ambient medical technique, passive in nature, belonging to Kōba Ogi. With a touch, Ogi can heal damage to plant material in any plant she comes in contact with. This can range from wilting and injury to grievous damage done to the plant by the ninja arts. Ogi utilizes this technique involuntarily, activating it simply by allowing a plant to come into physical contact with her skin.
Subconsciously, her gentle nature causes her chakra to pour out from her body and into any plants she comes in contact with in order to heal it. If the plant is withered or has any form of injury, it immediately springs back to life or begins to rapidly heal for however long she is touching it.
Green Thumb can theoretically last until Ogi runs out of chakra, but once a plant is fully healed, no more magic power is used up. Ogi can not heal any plant that has succumbed to its injuries. This means that she cannot return processed wood such as planks and boards to life, nor can she heal an injury that has existed long enough to kill the plant.
· Creeping Apparel (まんせいひふく, Mansei Hifuku): A supplementary technique belonging to Kōba Ogi. Using a small amount of her chakra, Ogi directs plant life she is in contact with to coat her body in plant material to dress herself. The plant material is as fragile as one would imagine, thus the technique is ill-suited for combat situations and entirely meant for aesthetics.
The plant material remains vibrant and full of life on her body. It can be repaired instantly if damaged, but Ogi must spend a small amount of chakra in order to repair her outfit. Ogi is capable of forming extravagant outfits, such as leafy gowns or a cotton fiber bodysuit. The clothing is usually green, though she can incorporate petals to give it color, or even make an entirely petal-formed outfit with one or multiple colors.
· Spore Dispersal Method • Sprout (ほうしまくほう • したもえ, Hōshi Makuhō • Shitamoe): A technique developed by Kōba Igami using the Spore Dispersal Method. With this technique, Igami sends out plant spores which cause damage in their host. It does not usually lead to fatality, but can be a hindrance and causes a great amount of pain in its host. The spores rapidly spread throughout the body, infecting every inch of the host.
When the host receives an injury which breaks their skin, small thorny vines protrude from the open wound. These vines spread the wound apart, tearing it open even more. The intent is to cause the host discomfort and pain, as well as to aggravate the wounds, keeping the host bleeding and in risk of infection.
The vines gain nutrients from the blood, soaking it up around the wound. This is how they are able to grow from the wound. Since they keep the wound constantly bleeding, the host can quickly succumb to anemia from a multitude of superficial wounds.
· Spore Dispersal Method • Seed All Creation (ほうしまくほう • まくばんしょう, Hōshi Makuhō • Makubanshō): A technique developed by Kōba Igami using the Spore Dispersal Method. Igami sends out plant spores which grant a slow death to their host. Upon being infected, the host's body is flooded with the spores.
The spores slowly grow into various strange plants, which take nutrients from the body in order to flourish. The plants erupt from the skin after three days, simultaneously killing the host with their birth and flamboyantly hiding the dried up husk of their body under a large mound of newly-formed plants.
· Hiding in Flowers Technique (はながくれのじゅつ, Hanagakure no Jutsu): A bloodline limit ability which allows members of the Kōba clan to merge with and travel through nearby plant life. As with similar techniques, it works by using organic matter present in the ground, which consists of plant roots and water veins.
Clan members can also use the supplementary bloodline limit abilities Flower Viewing and Weed Speak while hidden, allow them to spy on or communicate with their target.
· Flower Viewing (はなみ, Hanami): A bloodline limit ability which allows members of the Kōba clan to connect their optic nerve to an artificial eye in a flower, which enables them to know what happens in the artificial eye's field of vision.
· Weed Speak (ざっそうことば, Zassōkotoba): A bloodline limit ability which allows members of the Kōba clan to transmit their voice through plants, causing the plant to rub its leaves together to produce a sound mimicking the human voice.
· Common Self-Heal (うつぼぐさ, Utsubogusa): An advanced medical technique and bloodline limit ability unique to Kōba clan members. The Kōba are able to receive and transmit supplements from the plant life around them. This comes in the form of plant material for gradually replenishing lost tissue, to even natural medicine to stop bleeding and heal wounds at a moderately faster rate.
· Drought (ひでり, Hideri) [B-RANK]: A technique exclusive to the Kōba clan. Using their connection with the plant life around them, the clan member will direct all flora to absorb the moisture in the surrounding area, rapidly depleting any and all sources of water or other liquids in contact with the ground.
· Water Release • Drawing Hot Blood (すいとん • さいねっけつ, Suiton • Sainekketsu) [C-RANK]: A technique developed by Kōba Ogi. Should Ogi be able to adhere her skin onto her opponent's, she can absorb their bodily fluids into herself, leaving her opponents as dried up husks. As more contact equals faster fluid drain, she is dressed in a revealing manner.

A P P E A R A N C E· Being a woman who utilizes her beauty to her best advantage, Ogi has no shortage of different looks, ranging from variations of how she wears her hair and her leaves to a naked goddess-like persona. She has fair skin, green eyes and bright red hair.
She is almost always freely walking around naked, clothed only in minimal attire composed of leaves that sometimes follow a bathing suit pattern, or more often a full bodysuit of leaves. She never wears clothing, and is often barefoot.
Ogi possesses heliophilia, an attraction to sunlight.
For plants, this is simply the need to be in sunlight to live. For Ogi, it is different. She enjoys basking in the sun, and often feels much better in the sunlight than in the shade. She becomes as energetic as a normal human in the sunlight, with shade and shadows making her increasingly lethargic the longer she stays in them.
At night, her body is so weak from lethargy that she can do little more than walk short distances at a time. She often becomes bedridden, and prefers to sleep through the entire night. She has a mild nyctophobia, or fear of the dark, because of this.
As a result of her plant traits, Ogi suffers from polydipsia, or excessive thirst. Polyuria, or frequent urination, accompanies this. She is always thirsty, though she can usually ignore it. Eventually, however, her thirst builds to a point where she must drink.
D I S P O S I T I O N· Fabulously vain, Ogi sees herself as an irresistible goddess.
She
can and
does appreciate the beauty of others, even able to agree that some may be more beautiful than herself, but sees herself as one of the most beautiful women in the world. She is liable to become incredulous with those who do not find her as attractive as she thinks she is, and may go to great lengths to prove that she is desirable to all. She believes herself to be a gift from the heavens to men and women alike.
Being seductive is not always a good thing.
Ogi inadvertently tempts others, acting provocative by nature rather than with any intent on seducing others. This often leads to hostile encounters with spouses and animosity from those less beautiful than herself or jealous of her beauty and charm. Sometimes it is simply the matter of others focusing on her instead of their work, especially on missions.
She is very adept at using her charm to get things done, persuasive enough to get her way without having to do much of anything in return. Her exotic look and charm are almost always an effective tool to use on those she encounters.
She is good with young people, and often acts as a maternal figure around those younger than her, or a sort of big sister. She can be very caring and gentle. She is so good with children that she inadvertently forms bonds with them, her presence and tone very comforting and calming to a child.
Ogi does not seem to like infighting, at least when it concerns her allies. She often ends up mediating problems between allies, putting herself in the middle of it in an attempt to end the conflict. She can be very convincing in this regard.
She does not like to put herself in hostile situations, the exception being to act as a peacemaker between allies. She shies away from combat and prefers not to take sides in an argument or to immerse herself in the problems of others. She often feigns disinterest or surrenders out of fear.
She is very afraid of being hurt, so much so that she would prefer to surrender in most hostile encounters to prevent herself from being hurt. The exception is when others are around to protect her. She may sacrifice herself, and put herself in harm's way to prevent someone else from being hurt.
She has a tendency to snap at people. She doesn't mean anything by it, and often apologizes afterward. She is quick to correct others. She may even insult someone in the heat of the moment.
Ogi has a sinister aura to her that most cannot detect. Animals can pick up on this, and some humans with animal traits sense something ominous about her. When upset, this can become more apparent. Animals that would normally attack her instead flee from her when she is upset.
She would
like to like animals, but they don't seem to like her, and that makes her wary of them. Wild animals tend to become irritated by her presence, and she is often bitten. Even domesticated animals react badly to her. She seems to give off a bad vibe. Humans with animal characteristics are likewise able to sense something dark and sinister about her.
Possessing plant traits, Ogi naturally possesses an aversion to flames of any kind. This manifests as pyrophobia, a clinical phobia from which Ogi suffers a severe fear of fire. She cannot bear to watch anything burn, especially plants.
Ogi also possesses xerophobia, a clinical phobia from which she suffers a moderate aversion to being dry. Because of this, Ogi constantly drinks and bathes herself or swims.
Before becoming a kunoichi, Ogi studied and taught botany. She knows a great deal about plants, the toxins they produce, and poisons which are made from them. She is an expert in the field of botany, as well as herbology.
She is a scientist first, and a kunoichi second.
Possessing plant traits, and being a member of the Kōba clan, Ogi understandably has a strong affection and fondness for plants. She considers them beautiful and comforting, often more at peace when outdoors and among nature.
She is also a vegetarian, and expresses rapturous delight when eating plant-based foods, as if they are incredibly delicious.
She likes to keep her mind occupied, and is an avid reader.
Ogi loves to sing, and possesses an incredible singing voice. She does not need music to accompany her song, though prefers it. Ogi often sings when she is alone, to break the silence that surrounds her. She also sings to others.
