Satsuomi Kazuhiro
Before Kazuhiro became one of the Seven Swordsman he had studied them his entire life. One could say that at a point in time it was even an obsession. He had become addicted to the adrenaline that came from clashing swords with someone. After leaving his brother, Kazu assumed that he was headed to the prison and decided to meet him there.
After all there were a few stops that he had to make along the way. This would require him changing into his subterfuge gear and going undercover. Dressed in some of his personal civilian clothes and a black coat that covered most of his body from the rain he began his own intel gathering mission.
I love this part of my job
A smile crept onto Kazu's face as he peered up at the sign over the entrance to the massage parlor. Most people didn't know that you could obtain information from the girls that work here. However, he did have a few girls here that were able to get information from their customers with ease and discretion. And all it would cost him was a little of his coin.
...some time later...
Kazuhiro emerged from the parlor without an expression on his face. Apparently there had been someone that he recalled hearing about that was among the escapees ant the prison. The girl said it was a unusual name that started with a Z. While lost in thought he began to make his way to the prison. It was upon reaching there that he decided to wait for his brother so that they could began with their quest to recapture nukenin. And his own personal quest to obtain more swords to add to his collection.

After arriving on the island Koji walked calmly as he was ready for them to ask about Setai, though it was not part of thier duties a spunky guard might try to get themselves a promotion. Coming up to the main entry he paused as he noticed his brother standing there waiting for their arival, he could not of been there long.
"What's up? Get anything good?"
Glancing back he ensured Setai was keeping pace, it might be a task to keep these two from tearing at eachother. Or more rather he was afraid Kazu would let his temper get the best of him and do something stupid.

[/a] Setai thought once more of his interactions with koji's brother earlier and thought it would be better to keep quiet.
Following behind the footsteps of koji setai waited where he had been asked before, giving the brothers some space. Taking out a bit of rations from his pocket setai stood and ate quietly.

The cool, damp air pressed against Kazu's face as he waited for the rest of his party to arrive. He hadn't been there very long but he was there long enough to have an interesting conversation with one of the nearby guards. It was really interesting hearing about all the different things that had been going on in the village. Kazu was never really all that good with a pen and paper but when it came to people; that's where he was in his element.
A thumb slid across the scar below his right eye, memories flooded in as Kazu remembered how he got it. It was an intense fight with another supposedly renown swordsman. Other than the lucky strike his opponent got near the end of their match, Kazu soundly beat the man and took his sword. In the end he had the sword melted down into kunai and shuriken for his stocks.
...I need more information on where any more swords are located...
Kazu eyed the two men approaching him and instantly recognized his brother. His gaze shifting to the man that had accompanied Koji and then it moved to the man's sword. Face unchanging, Kazu let his gaze slide beyond them and scanned the surrounding area. He could of swore that he had heard something coming from the direction of the gates but it didn't matter. They had a mission to do and whatever it may be Kazu was sure that Terumi-san had everything under control. Koji snapped him back to reality with his query. Shooting the other guy a glare, he responded to his brother.
"There's not much here, most of the place has been destroyed along with a lot of the evidence."
Kazu turned and scanned the area once again. Like he had told his brother, there wasn't much left of the place. That's when he noticed something amongst the rubble, immediately he began stalking into the rubble uncaring if the others had followed him.

Koji hardly noticed as his brother trailed off as he was already thinking of a plan. First he would have to locate a guard to gain more incite on what occurred here, and hopefully get a list of who all escaped that night. There should still be files on all prisoners which would help in tracking them, not to mention someone had to of caught a glance of who attacked. Obviously they were intending to break someone out, or it could be an attack devised to cause havoc in the village.
"Kazu. Keep an eye on Setai for me..."
He spoke loud enough for his brother to hear before he turned to track down a guard. They needed to get things going if they wanted to check out the remaining tunnels below, he paused for a moment in front of Setai. With a smile on his face he looked over to him, he could not pass up a chance to mess with his brother. So before departing he lowered his voice to talk to Setai where Kazu could not hear.
"Kazu really wants to hear more of your haiku... you should go ahead and tell him more"

[/a] Setai smirked to koji and then turned and remained quiet allowing the brothers to do their work. Setai had never been an oinen and he knew that this is what these two brothers did so it was better to give them the space they needed to do their job.
Looking around at the shambled remains of the prison setai was amazed by how much damage and been wrecked on the place. So why release the prisoners? Setai pondered to himself, what is the game here, how does it give them an advantage in the war.
Realizing there was probably no good place for his questions Setai went back to smoking his pipe and reading his book.

The smell of death saturated the air surrounding the prison ruins. It was something that Kazu had never and probably will never get used to. There were several items and debris amongst the rubble most of which was useless now. Suddenly he stopped and began to start moving rocks and such off a large pile of debris.
After a moment one could tell what Kazu had been after. There was the body of a guard at the bottom. From the look of the uniform, he could easily tell that it used to be the head guard of the prison. Upon finally freeing the dead body from it's confines, Kazu searched it thoroughly producing a small book.
...Yes...This will be perfect...
Kazu began to thumb through the book as he aimlessly began walking around the remainder of the ruins.

Not long after departing from the others Koji finally caught up with the shinobi in charge of the guards. Having a long conversation about the night of the attack he was able to find out a lot about what happened that night. Or at least all that this guy could assume seeing as not many survived the attack. Having this island in rubble along with the lack of survivors was going to make this hunt hard. After a bit the guard handed him over a couple books that had been gathered from various bodies each having a list of inmates along with some notes from the owners.
Bowing to the guard Koji slowly walked back toward the others as he vaguely thumbed threw one of the books. So far these books were not much different then the books they had, mostly containing names of criminals. With a shrug he shoved them into a pouch on his side as he came up to the area Kazu was currently searching.
"After we finish sifting threw the rubble we should investigate the remaining tunnels, and from what I hear there is some ship wreckage on the beaches around here"
He spoke in a confident voice as he pulled a sucker from his pocket, this one was strawberry. Quickly unwrapping it he popped it in his mouth before placing his hands in his pockets. He wondered what his brother was doing as it looked like he might have found something. Hopefully it was not just some rod that almost resembled a sword, one time when they were young he did something like that. He got all excited about seeing some epic blade that Kazu almost fell on his face trying to get it. The big guy was so disappointed when he realized that it was a flattened flag rod.

[/a] Quietly Setai looked around at the remains of the prison while smoking, it all was so strange. He would then go back to reading his book and smoking his pipe every once in a while looking out towards the brothers fast at work.
Setai decided to take a small walk not far from where he had been asked to stand just so he could have a different view on everything. So many bodies still amongst the debri, this place was madness it seemed.
He heard the feint voices of the brothers talking to each other but quietly waited, assuming they would ask for him if they needed him for something.

Wreckage. Carnage. Desolation. What once was a literal stronghold of a prison, was mostly rubble, of the areas they had explored there was still more yet to see. The guards book was actual an operations manual, the guard having been a new recruit, now just another body among-st the hundreds if not thousand that lay here.
THe manual had a map, then some cliffnotes, among them it spoke of a srt of keys and some security doors under the main cell house. Which was intact enough to go through, if they could find the keys, and then the security doors, perhaps they might uncover some information about the prisoners and nukenin here.

After a moment Kazu stumbled across yet another dead body which brought him to a dead stop. This body didn't even belong to one of the ninja protecting and guarding the prison. From what he could tell it wasn't a prisoner either, it appeared that the unlucky soul really was the farmer he appeared to be. He just had the worst timing in the world being there to deliver vegetables at the time of the attack.
...He was only a civilian who probably had a family...
This snapped Kazu into reality and gave him a bigger perspective on shinobi life. Slipping the book into one of the many pockets on his vest he picked up the dead body and moved it to a small clearing near the middle of the island. Tears began to well up in Kazu's eyes as he begun to search dead bodies and pile them up.
"Hey guys, it looks like there's some security doors under the main cell house. Setai, will you help us find these keys?"

For some reason Koji had failed to notice just how bad this area was, not to mention the stench. Putting a had to his nose he looked around in disbelief, it was not even the fact that they were attacked inside thier own village. It was that there was still so many bodies just laying around like no one cared about them. He could not believe that the Mizu-Kage was failing so badly at her duties that something like this would happen.
"We should gather the bodies... Setai this includes you, as these are also you fellow shinobi that have fallen. Search each body so we can find as much evidence as possible..."
He spoke as he began pulling ruble off what appeared to be another body. So lost in his own head he did not even pay attention to what the others said or did. All he wanted was to uncover all the bodies so they could give them proper departure from this world.

[/a] Setai hearing what koji said started to lend a hand. Cleaning up rubble and setting the bodies where the others had been set, so they could be taken away for a proper burial.
Checking through pockets of guards and prisoners setai didn't seem to find anything of note. Memento's mostly which he would pull out and set on the chest of the fallen shinobi once they were set with the others.
Setai knew the whole village was morning the loss of their fallen brethren, especially the Mizukage. She probably holds herself responsible, but setai knew the Mizukage cared more for the village then any other shinobi. That was why Setai had really been willing to help the village, her love for her people was what he respected the most. Setai would defend the hope to his last breath, the hope that the village would continue on after this war.
I think i found something setai said as he held up a ring of keys.

After dropping another body onto the pile Kazuhiro wiped the sweat off his brow on the sleeve of his right arm. Looking up to see what Setai was talking about, apparently he had found something that was of use to them. As he took everything in Kazu noticed that he couldn't see any more bodies and came to the conclusion that they were pretty much done. Before anyone had the chance to say anything Kazu stepped back and began to let his katon chakra flow into the claw of the gauntlet.
"Rest in peace my brethren"
After quietly saying a prayer in a low voice Kazu used his tongue to spray a mist over the pile of bodies and then lit them on fire with his gauntlet after the mist settled.

Koji was just finishing up with going through the pockets of a victim when he heard Setai mention something. Looking up he nodded as he saw the keys that Setai held, with those they could look further into what happened. Getting up he stretched his now tired body after looking around and seeing there was no more bodies. Then he heard his brother mumble something making him look over just in time to see him set flame to the bodies.
"Whoa!"
He blurted out in shock as he leaped back out of the way not expecting his brothers actions. Placing a hand on his face he shook his head before holding it beneath his nose well looking at Kazu in disbelief. It would be sad if these peoples families wanted to bury the bodies instead of having a big pile of ashes.
"So... that's going to leave a gross smell well we search the rest... hope the families did not want to bury their loved ones..."

Theme MusicAs they took the keys and lit the blaze, the sound of a metal door swinging somewhere responded to them. Only shadows and death, if they would look around.
As they got to the security doors, and unlocked them, they would note beyond the doorway was a stairwell leading down. On the wall near the doors were AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY signs.
Down the stairwell, the atmosphere would change entirely, the hallways were well lit, with torches. Pictures in frames in-between the torched areas, of a man, vaguely familiar. They wouldn't realize it now, but when they did remember who he was, they would be shocked. Down here there were living quarters, luxurious, and looks recently vacated. Further in there was Labratories, with charts, weird machinations, metallurgic armor that looked piston powered. All were of course broken, and a smoking cigarette was on the far side of the lab. Someone had just recently been here, but there was no sounds, no noises...
Whoever it was, had heard them, and had left somehow.

[/a] Setai followed the others down the newly discovered path walking slowly along as h looked at the pictures something seemed oddly familiar about the person depicted. Setai was marveled by all of the things found in this level of the prison, wondering whom exactly these quarters were for he continued forward.
I guess the rumors of strange things happening at the prison had been true.
Setai said as he looked through the area unsure if what he saw was real or not.

Standing there quietly Kazu couldn't help but think of the dire situation that the village was in. Now, not only did they have to deal with the Daiymo's forces but criminals from their own village as well. Although he and his brother hadn't really gotten along with anyone to an extent they still held a lot of respect and feelings for their comrades. The sound of metal in the distance snapped him back to reality. However, when he scanned the area around them Kazu was unable to see anything that could have been the origin of it.
...What was that?...
After internally questioning himself what could have made the noise Kazu hung back for a few moments holding one of the doors open while he continued to scan the area. He was sure his brother heard it because of the look they shared when the other two passed through the security doors. Glaring off into the distance Kazu cursed at himself for not being able to sense or see anything in the area. It was probably the wind causing debris to vibrate or something of the nature anyway.
Following the example of Setai and his brother Kazu made his way down the stairway. As he reached the bottom he could clearly tell that someone had been living there. There were a variety of different things in the office, some of which he wondered if the Mizukage knew of. His body froze as his eyes landed on a lit and still smoking cigarette. Kazu was right there had been someone there and they had been there within minutes before their arrival.
Instantly Kazu began to scan the room looking for any exits or signs that something had been disturbed recently and in haste. Hoping that his instincts were wrong he sped up his search and hoped that his brother had noticed the same signs that he had.

The smoke from the cigarette slowly died out. As he scanned, it didn't look like there was another exit, but the smoke was lazily drifting off towards the far wall, like some kind of wind current was pushing it there.
