Ryuuske Takeshi[/i][/size]
After confirming the location of the next task, Takeshi continued onward slightly adjusting his course to accomadate the next set of co-ordinates. As he madehis way through the foliage Takeshi had already started to analyze the previous fight with the giant moth. Even though his form was off by ten degrees it seemed like it was still an effective technique. After an hour or so of traveling through the trees, he came upon where the co-ordinates led him, Takeshi to a branch overlooking what appeared to be a labyrinth made out of grass and dirt.
Mumbling to himself Takeshi dropped to the ground and started surveying the area. From what he could tell it looked like there were several entrances to the maze-like structure. Not spending too much thought in the subject he walked into one that he had picked at random. As Takeshi started his journey through the labyrinth he produced a piece of paper and began to map the places that he had already searched.
Takeshi scratched his head as finished updating the makeshift map with the dead end that he just found. It had been going on like this for a while now and the grin on Takeshi's face kept getting bigger and bigger.
Soon after Takeshi came across a small area that looked different from the dead ends that he had visited so far. Upon closer inspection the small room had a large tree at the far end with a pedestal in front of it that was overgrown with thorny vines. It didn't seem like it was booby-trapped so Takeshi carefully made his way over to the pedestal. As he brushed aside the plant that had overgrown the pedestal it sprang to life. Catching him by surprise that plant managed to tie up both his ankles and his left wrist.
Takeshi managed to produce a kunai from his leg holster just before the plant managed to get a vine wrapped around the boy's neck cutting off his supply of oxygen. Frantically the Ame Genin started to slash wildly at the vines that were trying to smother him. After a long moment of desperation, Takeshi's vision started to fade and that's when he caught a glimpse of what could've been the source of the vines pulsating on the trunk of the tree behind the pedestal.
With a last ditch effort he took aim with his kunai and let it fly just before he began to lose consciousness. The next thing Takeshi knew he was kneeling on the ground coughing and gasping for air. As he began unwrapping the vines that held him in bondage. The smile returned to his face as he unfolded his left hand to reveal yet another one of the pendant sized items sitting stoically on his palm.
The foliage was alive with all the noises and sounds of its nocturnal residents. These sounds went mostly un-noticed by the Ame Genin, Takeshi came to a stop in the trees when he thought that enough distance had been covered. Quickly he sealed the eighth pendant into his scroll revealing the location where his next task awaited him. Takeshi hoped that the other Genin wouldn't take any offense to his actions. It was just that they had a limited amount of time left and he felt as if he could move faster if he was alone.[/i]
..I'll see you guys at the next stage..
