Leaving the Chunin exams the morning after the finals Bou, and Guoduan traveled home. She listened as he told her the stories of his exams, and about the friends he had made there. The excitement of her students success was overshadowed by her fears of the future, then again this proved he may be ready. Maybe she did train him better then she thought, but there was always her motherly instincts kicking in. They had traveled all day, as they went the environment began to change as they came closer to the border leading into the rain country.
Night began to hit before they reached the check point so she stopped them to set up camp. It was best that they rested up more before heading deeper into the rain forest where many dangerous creatures dwelled in the darkness. Besides that her legs were killing her by this point, and her stomach even began to growl with hunger.
~about an hour later~
Having set up camp the two now sat beside a fire where Bou was mixing together some soup. She had picked up some ingredients in town well getting some recipes since Guoduan seemed to enjoy them so much. As they soup cooked she gazed at him through the fire, her mode shifting from her normal sweet attitude. Now it was time she talked seriously with her pupil about what the future holds for him.
"Guoduan. You know I think of you like the son I never had... that's why I need to be sure you understand something"
Her voice had become a little more stern when ever she spoke about a serious matter. Just based off the way she looked at him she knew he would get that this was important to her. There always came a time when the baby bird must leave the protection of its mother, and Guoduan's time was coming up.

Guoduan had enjoyed his time he had spent in the land of grass. The new friends he made the adventures he shared, would definitely be one of the more memorable moments in his life. As all things come to an end he had said his good bye's to everyone hoping to see them all again.
The had traveled at least a full day on their journey and Shinbou had made it known that it shouldn't be to long of a journey. They had set up camp and were now starting to eat the delicious soup Shinbou Sensei had prepared. There definitely seemed like some sort of tension was in the air but what could it be guoduan wondered.
Then his sensei spoke seeming obviously riddled by worries, guoduan peered towards her with a smile.
What is it Sensei?
He said hesitantly as he started to serve them both up a hot bowl of soup. He stared across the fire unable to really eat yet knowing there must be something important his sensei wanted to say. The tension ran through the air for a moment and guoduans mind swam with ideas of what it could be she might have wanted to talk about. Her face showing the stern expression of seriousness and guoduan wondered if he had done something wrong. He thought about it in a microsecond their plan to return to Sunagakure for the first time in several years. Could it be that? Was she worried about something that would happen when they arrived at Sunagakure? Guoduan could not be sure, so for the moment he allowed his simple question to be the only thing he would say.

"When we arrive in Suna things will change, they will see you as a shinobi of the village, so you most likely will be placed on a team to begin doing missions. There is no more hiding... also I wont be able to be there for you all the time, so I want you to keep a strong mind in all situations."
At the mention of not being there for him she teared up a bit being so used to him being around. Her eyes focused on the soup as she received trying to fight back the tears, she never loved showing her 'girly' side. She had to act tough, be tough for her student if she was going to be his protector. Though now things would change, she may loose him forever like so many others before.

Guoduan listened to his Sensei the whole time seeming as though she might shed a tear.
It's ok Sensei, I understand. I will be strong, for my parents, for you, for our village.
With those words a smile stuck across his face, a deep seated seriousness to his tone though. He had meant what he said, every word, he would become a shinobi worthy of all the things given to him.
Plus Sensei how am I supposed to become Kazekage if i don't have some fights along the way.
He said with a giant smile and chuckle to Shinbou hoping to improve her mood.

A cool breeze blew through the camp site making Bou's hair wave slightly in the wind. Shivering a bit Bou scooted closer to the fire smiling broadly now that she heard Guoduan. She was proud at what he has become, and was now upset with herself for under estimating her student. While she ate her soup she could not help thinking of the village and how different it must be. She wondered if it would still be the home she remembered from so long ago, and whether the people would still be the same.
"What would you do as Kaze-Kage?"

Well what would i do you ask Guoduan said with a smile. Well first... Guoduan proceeded to go into a tie raid about all the things he would do as Kazekage including important things but mainly involving acts of glorious battle in the name of the village. With lots of explanations of how awesome people would think he is.
Then i would solve all the problem and prove that Sunagakure is the bestest place in the world. He ended with barely any breath and a gigantic smile on his face. Well ya i would do things like handle the serious problems but yeah like i said earlier it would be awesome.
Why do you ask though?

"Guoduan. A Kage should never want nor hope for battle, they should strive for peace in their village with that the people will adore you. Remember your first concerns should be for your people... even if that means putting yourself second...
The fire lit up her face as she spoke to him, she held her tea with both hands as she put it up to her lips taking a sip. Bringing it back down she smiled at him to reassure him that she was not trying to bash his dreams before speaking again.
"I believe you will make a great Kage, if you bring happiness to the people they will put their lifes on the line for you. They will do what they can to help you in your goal to bring the village to glory"

Guoduan thought deeply about what his sensei had said the adolescents slowly slipping away from his mind. She was right and had been right with all her lessons she had taught him over the years. It almost seemed like she was as determined to make guoduans dream come true as Guoduan was himself. A gentle smile creeped across his face as his face started to show a redness like a blush from his realization of his childish views.
I understand Sensei, thank you for you help. not to change the subject but i have an idea for a new jutsu. Remember that fight i was in against Minato and Ein, well after my short fight with with ein i realized that my ninjutsu isn't exactly enough to deal with her strong taijutsu. So i have an awesome idea, but i know i am gonna need your help if i wanna make it work. Do you wanna help me Sensei?

"Of course I will help you, whats your idea?"
She asked with a smile on her face as she was now very proud of her student. From what should could tell Guoduan had a strong head on his shoulders, and has a very kind soul. Now she wondered why she would ever question him when he was nice to everyone they had met over the years. Not to mention what he did for that Uchiha kid that lost them the match at the exams. Watching him she was getting a little excited to hear what his idea for a jutsu was, maybe it would be something amazing.

Guoduan thought for a moment how he wanted to word his new technique idea. He knew of the idea from something he had been told in a story from his father that his grandfather has once used. Thinking back guoduan pictured the words of his father, the story about his grandfather gaara whom he had never really met himself. Yet the realization that all of his abilities had been based on the those stories of his grandfather. Was it bad that guoduan was in a way trying to reach out and feel like in a way his grandfather had been a part of his life, whether though stories or not. It was clear to see as guoduan thought further a look of anguish overtook his face. As though he was sad, but about what Shinbou may not have known.
Guoduan started to think once more about the technique understanding it purpose and the ways it could be used but was it bad that he felt a sense of remorse for stealing the ideas of his ancestors. Was it a part of the Shinobi way to take the lessons from your ancestors and use them as your own, or was it in some way stealing from them. Did it strengthen their memory or did it deplete it. His mind thought for a moment about the stories people had spoken of one of his relatives Rinko who was called the third Kazekage reincarnated. She had been the prodigy Gaara had trained himself, helping her along with her training teaching her the secrets of his techniques, and most of all helping her on her path as a kunoichi.
It was probably jelousy guoduan felt as he thought of the life he would have wished to live. The person he could have been had his father not opted to raise him away from the influence of his other family members. The teachings he would have seen and learned first hand from a master of the sand. Yet all he had was memories, memories told through stories. Bits and pieces but never the full thing, never a gentle hand to guide him through the techniques.
Guoduan looked to his Sensei with a small cracked smile trying to pretend to not be sad or remorseful for the life he wished he had.
Its ok Sensei, i am not really sure how to make this technique. I don't think i am powerful enough, or if i will ever be.

Ryuuske Takeshi[/i]
A sense of disappointment came over Takeshi as he wrapped up the shopping that he had to do. There were a few supplies that he needed to procure for the trip home. Not to mention the training equipment that he had purchased as well. So far, it seems like the amount of weight that was currently on his new suit didn't push Takeshi's abilities in the least. It was a little bit of a drag but it seemed like he was gonna have to wait until he got back to Ame before he would be able to purchase more weights.
(distant sounds of battle)
Takeshi's ears perked up he began to hear yelling and the ringing clash of metal in the distance. He knew that he was still in Kusa but the thought of some random act of violence propelled him into action. Takeshi's sense of justice would not let him stand idlely by while someone else needed help. He stopped just short of the action, he wanted to observe the situation before he took action.
"Where is it!?"
As Takeshi carefully scrutinized the scene that was laid out before him. His eyes widened and his fist clenched as he counted the dead bodies that were strewn everywhere. He very nearly killed the lot of them where they stood but his training kicked in and he decided to wait and gather more intel on the situation before diving headlong into battle. The remnants of what appeared to be a caravan laid scattered across the path, there was also a group of hooded bandits that had encircled a small number of civilians. There were about ten hostiles while there were about four victims left that were being interrogated.
"You know what we're after old man," the leader of the highwaymen began "besides.." The man drew a blade and held it up to the neck of a small girl."..if you don't co-operate with us I will slit this girl's throat." Not a flicker of emotion fluttered across the wicked man's face as he raised the blade to the girls throat and slowly began applying pressure. The look on girl's face was one of pure terror, the pain and fear on her face could clearly be seen by anyone. The poor man that was being held by one of the other bandits slumped into utter defeat. Takeshi assumed that the young girl was either his daughter or a close relative since the man then told them where to find the strongbox.
"You see, that wasn t very hard now was it?" The leader of the bandits said with a sneer. A loud yell and subsequent sobbing ensued as the bandit savagely ripped the girls throat apart with his jagged blade.
As Takeshi watched the life leave the girls eyes they had found his own and as she died his own vision seemed like it turned red and before he knew it he had thrown several kunai and shuriken that took out most of the bandits right off the start. Apparently they hadn't expected an attack and Takeshi had caught them off guard. Not wasting anytime he flowed the neccessary hand seals and prepared to execute an attack of his own. Before he could do anything though, two of the bandits disappeared using smoke bombs to cover their movements while the leader stood straight in front of him and attempted to engage Takeshi into a conversation. After scanning his immediate surroundings quickly without detecting any enemies he turned his attention to the leader of the bandits. As soon as he did though he reckognized his folly, for the two bandits that had disappeared earlier returned to flank him from both sides.
...Oh crap... [/i] Before Takeshi could even finish his line of thought both bandits used chains to wrap his hands and forearms. Under normal circumstances this might have been enough to subdue him but what they failed to realize was that Takeshi had already activated the only jutsu that he knew. "Do you realize what you have don..."Before the so called leader of the group could even finish a statement Takeshi let his Raiton chakra flare substantially for a moment. The sudden surge in electric current raced almost instantly down the chains to shock and incapacitate the two bandits that had him bound. As those two fell, he turned back toward the leader without even bothering to remove the chains. Before the man could do anything besides point his sword at Takeshi one of the chains that had wrapped itself around his left hand and forearm flew toward the ill-fated bandit who then blocked it with his sword which wrapped around the blade giving Takeshi a slight advantage. Using this as a distraction, Takeshi used the chain wrapped around his right hand to entangle the man's ankle. Keeping with th e flow of things Takeshi let his chakra flare again, this time he used most of the remainder of his chakra and electrocuted the bandit. As the man fell, his body erupted into flames. Even though he was pretty worn out, Takeshi still managed to keep on going. Some time later...
As Takeshi continued on his journey he heard the sound of someone talking. One of the voices sounded oddly familiar so he began walking in that direction. Suddenly, after he walked a little further he ran into someone that he had met before.

Finishing her tea Shinbou smiled at Guoduan before setting her now empty cup down. Standing up she let out a yawn as she stretched her body for a moment then walked towards Guoduan. Rubbing his head she paused as she was passing by to reassure him of his strength as a shinobi.
"We can figure it out together then, remember that's part of why I am here silly"
Upon saying that her eyes quickly shot up when she heard a noise in the distances. Clearing her head she could feel another chakra source approaching their campsite reminding her of the other part to why she was here with Guoduan. Looking down she smiled before turning toward the tent as if nothing was wrong, she would rather him not be troubled with what ever was to come.
Pushing open the tent Shinbou let the flaps close behind her before using the shunshin. She was able to pin point the location she heard a noise and tactfully appeared behind it. Before her was what seemed to be a young shinobi from Ame, which did not alert her. It was the walking up to their camp in the middle of the night part that made her act in this way.
Before the boy would have a chance she quietly came up behind him to surprise him. Pulling out a kunai her arm swung around to place the blade to his throat while her other hand fell upon his sword to prevent him from attacking. Moving her mouth next to his ear she whispered her question to him in a demanding manner.
"State your business"

Guoduan quietly stayed nearby to the fire thinking deeply about the conversation and realizations he had a few minutes before. It would be a hard road ahead of him , but he was glad that he had wonderful people like his Sensei in his life.
Loading the last piping hot bowl of soup out the of pot Guoduan set it next to him letting it cool.
He pulled out some scroll paper and started to write down the ideas he had about the possibility of a new jutsu.

Ryuuske Takeshi[/i]
Every fiber of Takeshi's being froze the instant he heard a very creepy whisper in his ear. Whoever it was had a skill level that far surpassed his own. Takeshi couldn't hear, smell, or even sense the person before he had a blade pressed against his throat. Slowly his raised both of his hands to show the didn't plan on putting up any resistance. After all, he was far too tired to deal with anything that require physical exertion.
"I thought I heard a friend of mine, I must've been mistaken."
This clearly hadn't been the fellow chuunin exam competitor that Takeshi thought he heard. They were much too skilled to be a Genin or Chunin, so his guess was that she was a Jounin.

Soft laughter would be heard in Takeshi's ear after he spoke of what he thought he heard. Shinbou could tell this kid was young shinobi from Ame, which fit the bill for one of Guoduans friends. Though she felt the urge to mess with him a little for being so sloppy in his travels home. Her smirk was hidden by the shadows as she pulled Takeshi's sword from its sheath. Letting the edge of the blade touch him she slowly moved it up so that just its sharp tip touched the boys stomach, pressing in ever so gently.
"So the frightened little boy thinks he heard his friend... are you sure that's what you heard?"
The whispers moved from one ear to the other as she asked her question to the boy. He would hear the slight amusement in her voice, unless he was too scared to process it.
"Is your mind playing tricks on you? Am I really here... of is this just your imagination?!"
With that she pushed Takeshi's blade in toward his stomach well lightly shifting her wrist allowing the blade to graze across the boys skin. There was a clicking noise as the blade was placed back into its sheath, followed by silence. He would no longer feel her blade against his throat, nor would he hear her whisper. She was merely gone in the night as quickly, and silently as she had appeared behind him.
In the tent again Shinbou smiled to her self in silence before she walked to her stuff to get a pen and paper. Walking out of the tent as if nothing had happened a smile beamed on her face as she walked back to Guoduan. Taking her spot across the fire she sat ready to write when she looked to her student. It was good that she liked to play cards or he would see that she was about to crack up laughing, thinking of the Ame kid.
"So. Tell me of this idea Guoduan, no better time to work on it then the present"

Guoduan started speaking as his Sensei approached the fire, showing her the drawing he had made.
Something like this guoduan said as he showed Shinbou the drawing. The drawing clearly depicted an image of a large orb of dust mixed with soil and sand encircled tightly around guoduan. Showing a separate image right next to the photo of an almost cocoon like nature within the orb.
I was thinking this would be a great defense against close range fighters as that tends to be my biggest weakness. I assume if i can gain enough control over my chakra to create the sphere i should be able to harden its outer shell to make it dense and resistant to attacks. Then once i can create the sphere i can learn to maintain its strength and eventually be able to use long range ninjutsu from inside. Maybe also should someone attack me from nearby to the sphere i could maybe manipulate it to form spikes or something.
Thinking earlier about his thoughts involving the ninjutsu of his ancestors. Guoduan assumed that Shinbou would recognize the idea as something guoduans grandfather gaara had used on several occasions.

Ryuuske Takeshi
Takeshi remained completely still for quite a few minutes before he even considered moving in the slightest. Not only was he regaining his composure but he was making sure that whoever surprised him was no longer in the area. After a while he began to relax and check his person for any missing items or injuries. Ascertaining that he in fact did not have any serious injuries he began to scan the area he was in again.
"Holy crap"
Takeshi pulled out his blade and put enough raiton chakra into it to make it glow brightly in the night. Using it as a lantern he began walking toward the voices that he heard. Both of which he now realised that he recognized. An irritated look came over the young shinobi's face as he entered what was clearly the camp of his friend Guoduan from the Chunin Exams. Takeshi knew that he had heard Guoduan earlier, looking around he saw no one else but a pretty lady sitting with his friend.
"You playin' tricks on me?"
Takeshi quizzed Guoduan as he walked further into their camp and made himself comfortable.

Resisting the urge to laugh at Takeshi as he came bursting out of the woods, Shinbou put a shocked look on her face. Too the boys she would look like a concerned mother seeing a young injured child in need of her aid. After scanning him for a moment she decided that he would be fine with out her help. He looked pretty shocked like he had seen a ghost, but other then that there were mere scratches on him like any young boy might have.
"Why you poor thing, the dark must be playing tricks on you"
Her soft voice was filled with concern for the boy as she quickly put down the paper to grab him a blanket. Walking over she wrapped him up in it while pulling him close, she could tell he was still shaken by their earlier encounter as she began to tell him he would be alright. Taking him close the fire Shinbou offered him a seat so he could warm himself with the warmth of the fire.
"Why are you out here all alone?"

Guoduan responded strangely when he heard his Sensei speak again thinking she was talking to him. Then a wild Ame genin appeared brandishing lighting on his hands, it was Ryuuske.
Hey there Ryuuske! Guoduan said jumping to his feet in excitement for the arrival of his friend from the exams. wondering where Ryuuske escort was guoduan peered around into the woods for a small length of time.
Only you? Guoduan asked inquisitively to the Ame nin. Stepping back to the fire as Ryuuske would start to speak guoduan would offer him the remaining bowl of stew that had just finished cooling from the hot pot. Watching him with continued curiosity almost expecting a Ame jonin to burst through the woods at any moment following Ryuuske. Maybe Ryuuske Sensei was hanging back guoduan though, maybe he or she is not a people person.
Well no matter guoduan thought now paying obviously more attention to whatever conversation may be going on.

Ryuuske Takeshi[/i]
Shifting his weight Takeshi let the raiton chakra dissapate before pulling the blanket the pretty Jounin gave him tighter and scooted closer to the camp fire. He was positive that he didn't imagine what had just happened to him. The scratch on his stomach was more than enough proof of that. As he sat there he carefully analyzing how both of them were acting. With them being the only other ones that Takeshi could sense he figured it had to be one of them.
"I'm by myself, I guess they weren't too concerned since they share a border with Kusa."
Takeshi didn't know why he was the only Genin sent to the exams, or why they hadn't sent an escort with him. Did they think highly of him and assume he would be fine? Was it another part of becominga Chunin? If so, how did they know he would pass? The questions swam through his head tirelessly while he brooded on many different thoughts. Suddenly Takeshi's face turned red and heleaped to his feet. Bowing deeply he apologized to the woman before him.
"Where are my manners, I am called Ryuuske Takeshi."
