It was a few hours before dawn, she was awake and standing at the top of the Mizukage's office. She knew it was today, knew what was coming, though only the ones performing the deed knew what she did. Earlier the previous night, she had listed the four targets for attack. The first was the main gate to the west, it needed to come down, as it was key to the wall, with its destruction they could rebuild a new wall. The second was the main military HQ, and the varying bunkers around the village. Since there were no civilians to worry about and a skeleton crew of ninja, this would make things easier, but not easy enough.
The third objective was the Mizukage monuments, as it connected the main water hub, and would need to be relocated anyways. The last was the Mizukage's office, the giant round building of steel and sorrow. All the important documents had been backed up elsewhere, as well as the village secrets held here taken and hidden in secure locations away from the objectives.
Their task was simple, destroy the objectives, beat down the opposition and escape the village with their lives. If they failed, they would be labeled traitors, and could not have any hope of ever returning home true heroes. If they succeeded, the were to be fed to the lions den, The Daimyo, to infiltrate his network and take it down from within. The stakes were the highest, but it was all necessary.
"At what price"
Her words, not shaking, but steeled, a resolve to fix what she had been left with. To remake the village from the mist and ashes, to save her people, from the onslaught that is to come. Today she had to ensure their plan, was successful, as well as mitigate the loss of life for their people, and ensure that they not be found out in their fight. She knew "He" would be witnessing, and his words and eyes would betray him, as he would see the lie her ninja were weaving to hide them once again in the mists.
Today, the Iron Mist and the Bloody Mist would die, and in the ashes of the new sunrise, The Hidden Mist would be reborn.
And so it begins...

The three swordsmen plan had to work in tandem and even though these four locations were spread across the village it would make the most sense to strike them simultaneously. Setai believed the strongest plan to ensure the least life would be lost would be to use paper bombs, with a slight modification.
He had spent an extensive amount of time building the different plates showing the two brothers what his idea would do and how it could aid their endeavors.
It was simple metal plates crafted using precise raiton chakra to weld the edges of the steel after applying paper bombs to a locations surface. This would serve the same practice as a buildings demolition by controlling where the force of the explosion could go they could with enough paper bombs and plates allow the buildings very foundation to crumble from the ground up.
This would allow for a controlled demolition of each location under the cover of fog, then with the use of one or two regular paper bombs without the metal plates the detonation would look like a massive explosion of fire and stone but would actually only allow the pieces of these structures to fall straight down keeping them from harming nearby buildings while also providing the illusion that the swordsmen were attacking.
The three swordsmen spent the entire night under the cover of fog and darkness setting up their devices with each one of them spread through the city to the four different locations. Setai being the most familiar with the process decided to take charge on two locations so each of the brothers would only have to focus on one. They had shown intelligence and quick learning by how fast they picked up the process. They truly were shinobi worth being called swordsmen.
They would have a signal, a simple blue fire work shot into the air when they were ready. Once each one of them would light their firework the four structures would be ready to come down and then it was all about the show of the fight from that point on.
Setai shot his firework into the air its hissing whine and crackling with a visible pop at the end, his signal to his companions shining over the city. Setai was ready to begin.

Setai was the first and only one to complete his task. AS the others seemed to have fell off, or not carried out their orders. A lone wolf, that is what Setai had become. But still one wolf in an enemy pack, was better then none. When the firework shot off, Rinruri knew it was time.
"Attention southeastern units, we have some fireworks being shot off in your district, advise caution, could be an enemy trap"
She said into the seal, as she looked out. It was time, as the sun rose, for the ashes to fall, for the mist to burn and then dissappear once more.

Setai waited for several minutes, no other fireworks were launched. What the hell was going wrong Setai thought, he was in position and the brothers only had to do one thing activate the first paper bomb that would send off the chain reaction that would set off the destruction of the four targets.
"Gotta do everything myself."
Setai activated the first paper bomb that would destroy the two different points. As he activated the first in the chain he raced off into the foggy morning.
Maybe the brothers had been captured Setai thought asa he raced to their different locations. Activating the paper bomb with no one is sight, uncluding his comrade. The first paper bomb lit and in the distance there was rumble of a fire and explosion, the two chains Setai had already activated just went off dropping giants swaths of rubble and burning brightly in the early morning light.
Setai raced to the last location upon arriving once more there was no one in sight, the other locations explosions served as an easy distraction. Setai activated the last paper bomb as soon as it came into view, the last chain reaction was set off.
Moments later Setai walked through the streets away from the explosions, BOOM and then a few seconds later, BOOM!! Could be heard in the distance the two last locations had imploded, the fire caused from an unshielded paper bomb making fire and smoke appear making it look as though there was more damage then there actually had been.
The plan had worked so far, the four locations had been imploded from their foundations which made the fall straight down doing minimal damage to other nearby buildings. The fire from the exposed paper bombs might spread but because there was so few of them they would be easily put out before to much damage would be caused. Now it was time for the show, Setai would have to meet other shinobi in combat and he would have to make it look real.
He walked calmly through the city streets, marching with a proud speed towards the gate. He was hoping e would not have to slay anyone in order for people to realize he had caused all of this but he could not be sure exactly what would happen next.
Just what had happened to the brothers, hopefully they hadn't been already captured. Or worse, they ran in fear, or gave up at the last moment unwilling to take the chance of failure and be shamed as Nukenin.
Setai was more then willing to do what he was asked by the Mizukage, but the cost if he failed was to return to the life he had just escaped. The life of a Nukenin scorned and hunted, never to return to his home, the truth of his actions never to be known.
Hopefully this worked.

The explosions went off just as planned, and just as she had worke dit, her ninja were quick on the scene. Setai would see several Mei Kiri members arrive to "stop" him. He knew the rules, he knew this was part of his assignment, he had to make it look convincing. Rinruri was off the rooftops and moving through the village, knowing full well that she had to show up and face Setai and the others in time, not knowing it was just Setai. Oh well, a hiccup in the plan.

Setai prepared himself for combat his hand resting gently at his sides as the shinobi gathered around him, he knew this would be the hardest part. Preparation however was still on his side, Setai had with the help of the smarter brother concocted a special "poison" that upon even a small amount of contact onto a open wound would slowly spread through the body of a victim. Paralyzing them and then leaving them in a semi conscious state, it could be easily dealt with by medical nin and would leave no permanent affects, plus it would save Setai from the grief of having killed his brethren.
The shinobi he would face were well trained and strong, but there was a reason even after having gone rogue Setai would still be given the honor of being a swordsmen. A master of Kenjutsu, there were only a few blades known to the isle's of Mizu no Kuni that could even be considered as swift as his.
His blade was not drawn, his hands rested as his sides, his face peered down, his eye's were closed, this was the moment. Succeed or fail, depended on his speed, his accuracy. Slowly Setai thought on the fight breaking it down in his mind, reading the tells of his opponents, the slight sounds, the shifts in their body weight.
Then with a flash it began, the shinobi charged in, and as though a breeze dropped them each knew attacker fell to the ground having hit nothing but air. The ring of steel on steel, then the Mei Kiri shinobi layed on the ground surrounding Setai. Their breathing slowing, only small cuts on open flesh points, between armor, across their necks or wrists, small feint cuts just enough to deliver the sleeping droughts touch.
Then more and more shinobi fell at his feet one by one all the shinobi who had been sent against Setai lay on the ground. Setai looked across the street before him only one remained, the last fight, the Mizukage.
His blade still rested in its scabbard as though if you had not seen it with your own eye's it would have seemed to have never been used.
The last battle this one would not end so easily Setai's blade had run dry of the sleeping drought against his last foe, he had to knock the shinobi out cold with his fist. It was the least of injuries that could be caused, with some quick work from a medical nin they would all be better in an hour or two.
Setai stared toward the Mizukage, his eye's without emotion, not wishing for his task but understanding it's need.
"There is only one left that would stop me, i would present her with the chance."
Setai said as he removed his Hitai-ate from his head, then with one last glance towards it tossed it to the dirt.
Ugoka burēdo blade without motion Kenjutsu, Fighting Style a specific style of kenjutsu that is concerned with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. The linear motion and force applied to draw the sword from the scabbard results in slashes that are faster and stronger than ones executed with the sword already drawn. The speed at which these techniques can be executed — the initial strike in particular — is such, that when performed by a skilled user, it can prevent enemy shinobi from forming hand seals (and thus ninjutsu), by exploiting the small opening that these movements create.
Saisho no katto the first cut Kenjutsu The user performs a quick and powerful slash with their sword in order to cut the intended target, before immediately resheathing the blade afterwards.

Through the mists, and the flames, a shadow flickered. This shadow in particular was one from a long line of power, a shadow upon the water. As the form came to view, the battle ready woman with piercing blue eyes and flaming red hair could be seen. Her eyes settling through the carnage as her men backed off. Setai would soon realize he was alone out here, as all other attackers faded away. A foreboding feeling would settle in, before he would turn to see the woman glowering at him.
"We took you back, respected your skill and this is how you repay our kindness...with betrayal"
She would say, as she put on the show. She knew spies of the Daimyo were listening, and her own men, this had to look convincing.
"There will not be a third chance, this ends here, Setai"
She would say, as she drew her blade. The weapon glowing in the firelight, a soft blue, as energy resonated through it. Izanami had awoken

Setai feared this moment the most, this portion of the facade would have to be the most well timed. The fight must not be so short as to not allow the others to see that this man Setai had "turned" his back on the village. Also the Mizukage's skill was revered among her people if she was to lose quickly it would cast doubt upon her skill and cast doubt upon the reality of the fight. Yet Setai also understood that to take to long would also in the same way paint himself off as being for more powerful then he indeed was, how would he ever stand up to such standards especially under scrutiny. It was a paradoxical situation, but Setai would have to find a way if this mission was to succeed.
Setai looked towards the Mizukage before she charged, speaking clearly for all to hear.
"This village is a farce and it leader the worst liar of them all. You speak how much you care for your people and yet you would let them die for your own desire."
Setai would say loud and clear for all to hear, especially the spies.
"Prove your dedication to your people, prove it is not all about your desire. I have killed several hundred of your shinobi and even more of your citizens in the explosions and fires, by your law i deserve to die, or to be sent into your prison."
Setai would say as the Mizukage drew her weapon and started to move towards him.
"There are several more explosions set to be activated upon my trigger, if you do not let me walk out of your village hundreds more will die."
This is the way it would happen, if allowed to leave it would not allow the Mizukage to have doubt cast upon her and in the same breath would paint Setai out to be even more of a monster then he was. It would all be up to her to understand the act and to play her part in it, the last bit of acting would be up to the Mizukage.

The bluff was foolish, as Setai was wrong about his numbers. The village had been largely evacuated, namely due to the recent attacks by the Daimyo's forces. So his bluff was wrong, and the Mei Kiri knew it, Rinruri knew it, Setai didn't seem like he did.
"I don't think you will be given the chance to leave this place, not for what you have done"
She said and whipped her blade forward. As she did, a roaring came from it. The roar was water ripped from the blade in such quantities and ppower that it formed a tsunami wave that washed towards Setai with such depth and force it would be hard to block. The water would create a layer on the ground in its roaring aftermath of at least a foot deep. Not that she was standing in it, but upon it.

It seemed Setai couldn't take the easy way out and the mizukage didn't understand the point of the bluff almost as though she had heard everything he said. It was apparent she had a one track mind and for some reason believed she was going to prove anything by fighting against Setai by himself. Without the help of the brothers it was most probable that he would lose, power versus power, this was the Mizukage after all. Maybe he could outsmart her though, she tended to fight by flexing her raw power and ability, if she was unwilling to let Setai take the easy way out he would have to find a way to beat her.
He would have to avoid this attack completely the Shunshin no jutsu would be the way. Disappearing from were he was originally standing, he appeared on the other side of the water wave. He was now free of being struck by the giant tsunami, on the opposite side of wave standing calmly on the leftover water facing towards the Mizukage. Setai prepared for the next attack.

The problem with Setai's idea, was in the belief that he was trying to save her face. She was doing so at the moment, as she had a reputation around the village of not being a sit idly by Mizukage. She put herself on the line for them, time and time again, so it was too believed she would again. Setai just had no faith in the plan, because he tried to opt out of the terms of the mission. He had to fight her, to not only prove his worth to the Daimyo, but to insure his cover of being a traitor was maintained. The idea was, he would get a lucky hit in, and she would too on him. The going toe to toe with her would prove a strength to the Daimyo that Setai was a powerful ally to have, another level of the ruse.
This is when the Mist would spring to life. As the wave passed by, the village hidden in the mists became surrounded by it. But this was no ordinary mist, this was Mei Kiri. This cover with the sun coming up would drop the area they were in to a zone of night, which would make any members of the villages ninja force also hard to see what happened. In the quiet and silence, she would wait for a sound of Setai. They had to make the fight appear real, so weaponry clashing and the like would be a common sound to hear.

Setai would settle for moment in the mist still not exactly sure how this would all play out.
Then a glint of motion, is that the Mizukage, Setai would think. A swing of a blade its shiny glint of light, Setai would draw his blade with his swordsmen reflexes blocking the blow. This must be the Mizukage the exchange of blows would be frighteningly quick both being warriors of speed.
As Setai would block a blow he would whisper hoping the Mizukage would hear him and that no others could.
"What is the plan?"

She was beginning to doubt her trust in this man.
"It hasn't changed, just with one of you, I figured it would be easier in a sword fight then in a ninjutsu battle which all our forces know would be the end of you"
She said, keeping her words timed to the tinging of their blades. Truth was, she knew her sword could cut through his, cause it cut through mainly everything. But she was withholding that by suppressing her chakra even though the sword would be draining chakra from her anyways. The thing was, Rinruri was also wielding the Izanami with her left hand. And she was a right handed kind of person.

The only thing Setai had to his advantage was the speed of his kenjutsu, though the mizukage was powerful and she was fast her speed was not quicker then Setai. This was the one way he could win, his blade would move with such speed that those without training may not see anything but the simpliest of movements. This was the style that had made Setai worthy of being a swordsmen, his blades speed, this is how he would beat her, this is how he would win.
Setai threw a strike high then after it would be parried the speed of his next stroke would be quicker then the mizukage could react, slicing between the plates in her armor, slashing across her flesh.
His blade was now glowing with a radiating amount of chakra, the blade growing sharper and slightly longer from the chakra. Though the mizukage's blade may be extremely powerful Setai technique would help to give his blade the sharp edge and resilience it needed to exchange any future blows with the Izanami.

Togisumasa reta ejji the honed edge Taijutsu, Chakra Flow An addition-line ninjutsu that augments the killing power of a blade — like a kunai or sword — by flowing chakra into it. The materialised chakra is shaped like a blade, cutting up everything it touches. It is also possible to alter the attack range of the weapon by adjusting the amount of chakra put into the blade. Seeing through the movements is said to be very difficult. The density of the chakra is so high it becomes visible. It not only raises the power of the weapon, but simultaneously turns oneself into a blade as well. The chakra-enhanced blades are strong and sharp enough to cut through solid rock and iron. The technique works best with elemental chakra, especially with wind-natured chakra which greatly increases the offensive cutting power.

His first attack would be parried, his second one, though he had tried to be quick, it was also easier to block it then Setai would have thought. Her blade was brought into the way of his slash, with their blades locked up, she would push on his blade and on Setai in an effort to throw him back. Shew knew getting injured in the first few moments of the fight would be a strike against them as a staged fight more then an actual battle. Namely Setai had to earn his renown, had to earn the fear. He would do this by enduring the fight. She had to maintain her cover, and protect Setai mission, she would do this by making sure they both survived without outside interference.
She would push him back with her sword, then withdraw her arm and thrust the blade forward in a quick jab. She expected him to deflect it, so waited on that before continuing her attack.

Setai finally saw what the mizukge was planning this was going to be a long fight. She was pulling her punches so to speak and the fog was covering it up. It was a very smart move on her part, so all setai had to do was exchange blows with her. The sounds of their ringing steel would be the only sign of the continued fight that others would witness.
He dodged her thrust stepping to the side, then he brought his blade up knocking her blade high. He would then follow it with a series of strikes that would be easily blocked or parried by the mizukage. They would ring out fast and ferocious holding true to both of their sword skills.

Their fight was a series of blade clashes, ringing steel and groans of effort. Rinruri would swing double handed to push as Setai blocked the attack no doubt. With the added force behind the blow, Setai would be sent flying backwards as Rinruri lept after him. Their fight breach one of the buildings and under the cover of the mist and the building itself Rinruri stopped her attack, allowing Setai to catch his breath. Pushing her blade under the plates of her armor, she winced as she cut a gash in her side. Not deep, but made to look painful. One hand on her side, she quickly used her free hand and blade to put a gash in Setai's shoulder as she moved into position in front of a window.
"Now, kick, and then run"
She would instruct. Her breath a bit shallow as she held the pain and her side to halt the bleeding as best she could./blockquote]

"As you wish." Setai would say then kick the mizukage as she had told him to do.
Turning immediately he dashed out of a window. The glass breaking into fragments as hid form flew through it. As quickly as he landed he was on his feet. Running with large, quick steps. His breath leaving his mouth and nose in large toughs like that of a bull before the charge.
The thick mist air hide most of his movement but not all of it. He had to listen to what he had been told he needed to run.
Step after step he ran, worried about the mizukage. The village, and all that had been done. He worried for the ruse hoping everything would work and fall into place. The worst of it all would have been it this didn't work. But it had to work, otherwise Setai would have done all of this for nothing.

She would fly through the air, glass following her as she landed against a building. She would slide to the ground, as she did, Mei Kiri members were there to assist her.
"MIZUKAGE-SAMA---Mizukage-sama, are you alright"
The worried tones of the masked ninja, she winced as they helped her to her feet.
"I'll be fine, follow him, stop him at all costs"
She said, holding her side as they helped her off the street.
Some time later
At the hospital, she was standing with one of her arms raised, her clothing pulled aside from her wound, revealing the flesh underneath, and almost rendering her indecent. Almost.
"Mizukage-sama, we tracked him as far as we could, but the trail get lost southwest of Singham village, we will find him... he has nowhere to hide"
Came the masked mans words, as Rinruri looked over at him. She knew this to be wrong, there was one place he could hide, one place he was meant to hide.
Suiro Shima.
