The councils desire
A few days had passed since the official inauguration of the Nanadaime Kazekage Seishen Danjo, there he sat at a chair surrounded at the large table by the jonin council.
The room was ablaze with different discussions this afternoon as the beginning of the meeting officially came to a start. The first councilor raising his hand to signal silence to the room, slowly the roar of conversations ended as the old first councilor began to speak.
Thank you for meeting today, i would also first like to give congratulations to this council as this marks the first official meeting since the inauguration of the Nanadaime Kazekage Seishen Danjo.
The room filled with heartfelt claps from the joined council as they smiled happily towards one another.
So with that joyous announcement having been spoken let us officially start this meeting. The old jonin paused for a moment after the words allowing the councilors the time to focus all of their minds to return to their concentrated demeanor's.
The winter festival is just around the corner and there is much to discuss. It must be made clear that this years winter festival needs to in every way be perfect, there is no time for faults or weakness.
With that in mind i would like to bring to the floor the proposition spoken amongst the council members in the preliminary planning meeting just yesterday.
Kazekage-sama this council would like to propose that we move the Winter festival outside of the village this year, to allow for a safer place to gather with interested parties.
Interested parties, Danjo questioned.
Yes this year we would like to propose the opportunity for not only the Daimyo of our land to join us, but those of other countries as well. Bearing this in mind you understand now why it was requested to be moved outside of the village.
Yes i see, Danjo spoke still judging the angle of the proposition.
His thoughts cycling through the possibilities, the lands of the world were rife with civil conflicts and secret wars. Danjo wondered just who would be willing to leave their country in such disarray to attend a celebration festival in another nation.
It would be just the opportunity this village needs, the first councilor spoke peering towards Danjo. It would be the perfect opportunity to show that despite the previous circumstances under the watchful eye and guiding hand of the new Kazekage our great village is prospering.
The councilors all made gestures of concurrence from nods to quietly spoke words to the proposition the first councilor had brought before this meeting of leaders.
Do you agree Kazekage-sama? The councilor spoke with an air of subtlety to his voice.
Yes, Danjo spoke as he faced the council.
Let us speak though of the possibilities of how bad this plan could go, just to make sure that in an effort to show our strength we do not charge this village headlong into worse conflict.
The councilors all peered towards Danjo with inquisitive expressions.
The rulers of the lands and the leaders of other shinobi villages as we all know are involved in different conflicts or affairs. Though many of them may be secret which we may not even know, to bring these individuals together within our own lands should an enemy of these leaders hear of our proposition. What would be the consequences of bringing them into a situation that could just as easily endanger their lives and the lives of the lands they rule.
We can not expect to provide adequate security in a months time we will have to seek outside help. That much cannot be argued, in the past this festival was within our own village kept safe by our own very presence. Yet to remove this festival from the security of our village and then to invite the worlds most important people to this festival we will need time to plan. As well as security help from our allies, most namely the land considered to have been the strongest.
I propose that to properly provide the security and safety to our prized guests we request the help of one of our most trusted allies.
The leaf, Danjo spoke his stoic demeanor radiating outward showing his utter disapproval of any disregard to his words.
Another councilor spoke, won't this defeat the purpose in some ways Kazekage-sama? The councilor questioned timidly.
It may in some ways disregard the gesture of showing our own strength, yet this can work to our advantage in many ways.
By gaining the assistance of the leaf it will strengthen our bond as allies, while also showing our villages dedication to the continued peace between the countries.
Also though we may fear the repercussions of our own enemies and their attempts to destroy the peace that unites us. By combining our strength with our allies there is little doubt in my mind that any attempt upon the safety of this festival will be squashed before it can have even began.
These are my terms.
Danjo spoke showing the character of his dedication foremost to the safety of his village, before the desire of greater powered to be gained.
The councilors peered towards one another then after some time they turned their attention back towards Danjo.
There is wisdom in your words, the first councilor spoke breaking the silence. I will support this change to the proposition as stated by our Kazekage.
With words spoken swiftly the entirety of the council agreed to the first councilor's words.
It is decided then. we will start to begin preparations tomorrow.
The first councilor spoke bringing an end to the meeting of leaders.
