"These are no where near as comfortable as Ein made them out to be," the spiral ninja complained, dropping his head low as his chin pushed into his chest-line. His arms dangled like noodles at his side. Around his legs and his ankles he wore around weighted-braces, which were part of the new training regimen he decided to pursue.
Stretching his arms, once left once right, he rolled his neck side-to-side, popping joints so that his body was more limber. After stretching his legs, he inhaled before taking off in a jog. Usually he started his training by practicing his Ninjutsu in various way which consisted of, but were not limited to: chakra control practice, handsign practice, meditation, then he'd perform and find various ways of disturbing his chakra into the arsenal of techniques his Ninjutsu were composed of.
In an attempt to obtain a new level of speed, for the last week the bushy haired Chūnin has been doing strictly weight training, and working on his cardiovascular exercises. He also lifted weights, gradually doubled the amount of push-ups, sit-up, crunches, pull-ups, and lunges that he normally did. In a general sense, it was safe to say that Minato was back to his old self. While his agility and speed were naturally gifted, and adding on the Taijutsu training he received from his mom growing up, as well as the training he received from Sakura and Naruto, physically he was in tip-top condition. Yet, recollecting some of the things he witnessed Ein do, he felt as though he needed to do much.
With his boomerang being made, he'd been developing various theorems for techniques he could use in tandem with it. Doing so would require that his reaction time remain at its' peak, which for all intents and purposes, it was. Minato, could be a bit of a perfectionist, so he wanted to be able to know for certain that he would be able to proper adapt to and utilize his boomerang without any hindrances. One could chalk it up to being proactive.
Time seemed to fly, before he knew it the morning was drawing to an end. Precisely at 11:30 AM, the alarm he set earlier went off. A loud buzzing noise resonated through the open, mountain range that the youngster was doing laps around.
A shroud of chakra tore across the cloudy sky. Running with his tantō tightly clenched within the palm of his hand, Nozu grinned as he lunged forth, a smirk tugged at his features. Across from his barely evading his sporadic offense, was his sensei Kazama.
"Ahhhhhhh---!!" he roared, the cyan shroud of chakra that elongated his tantō expanded and stretched across his body. Swiftly leaning out of yet another thrust, Kazama planted foot firmly into the ground, pushing his arm forward the palm of his hand shot forward, the crimson kanji on his hand slammed into the gut of the young jinchūriki.
You're just sparring with your sensei. What need did you have to pull out my chakra? Matatabi inquired, its' big blue fiery figure chimed within that white space that him and Nozu communicated within.
'I'm still angry about Kazama pulling me out of the exams! I was better than all of those losers that made it to the final. The only capable shinobi present in the exams where Ein and that Uzu-whatever kid she teamed up with during he second exam.'
You shouldn't heedlessly call on my chakras, especially while sparing against your sensei. That Raikage of yours will make that a reflection of my abilities--I refuse to be sealed in that pot once again. Matatabi gritted his maw, glaring down at Nozu.
"Nozu-kun, Nozu-kun..."
Through the veil, he heard his sensei's beckon before he opened his eyes and the vibrant colors of the world filled his sight.
"Is everything ok--"
"I'm fine," he interjected. "I just need a break. We;ve been training all morning. i'm about to head to get some onigiri from Koi's."
