An approaching cloud of dust could be seen from the monumental cliffs that surrounded the village. At first some guards wanted to brush it off as just another sand storm, but the more seasoned patrol knew better. Grabbing hold of a pair of binoculars the senior guard zoomed in on the cloud. After a moment he could get a clear view of what was coming, and he knew it could not be good.
"What is it?" one of the other guards asked.
"Trouble. I'll stake my entire salary on it," he said as he lowered the binoculars and faced his subordinates. "The army is coming. There are at least six from my count. Inform the Kazekage."
_____________
Gaining access into the village proved to be a simple enough task, though Inari was more than certain the procedure elongated out of spite. Lady Yorimasa had severely cut the village's funding so it was expected. Though, Inari was never used to warm welcomes. There was still much work to do before he could burn away the stigmata that came with bearing the Kurokawa name.
Inari rode into the village with four other soldiers, all stocked up as if intending to stay for an extended period of time. Of all the soldiers Inari was the only one that brought two horses, but that was the perks of being in charge.
After their escorts lead them to the stables Inari instructed his subordinates to find lodging while he took care of business. As he followed behind the ANBU he made careful care to take note of the interior of the village. Though it appeared he was being observed just as thoroughly. It did not help that he was donned in pitch black armor and cape. The side-eyed glances, murmurs in the crowds, and some just flat out glared at him did not phase him. Instead he walked with authority and purpose knowing the position of power he held over them.
Ninja. He carried no love for their kind. They were nothing more than glorified mercenaries as far as he was concerned. Powerful, yes, but they needed to be kept in check. Just like the tailed beasts they claim to be so capable of subduing.
The ANBU brought him to a large rounded building with the kanji for "wind" on it. This was the Kazekage's office building. As they made their way through the building the ANBU instructed for Inari to stay in a waiting area until called for by the Kazekage.

The unannounced guest
Danjo stood in the waiting area as though he had just returned from some other recent business. As he waited he saw whom the Daimyo had sent unannounced, without so much as a letter. It would seem the daimyo either thought highly of the previous relationship her and the Rokudaime Kazekage had, which from what Danjo understood involved alot of bended knee promises. Or the Daimyo wished to tarnish this individuals reputation by telling him he could show up uninvited.
Walking without words Danjo walked into his office nodding to his secretary as he entered.
The secretary looked to the head soldier out of the group, The Kazekage will see you now she would say.
With the door still sitting open, as the man would enter Danjo could be easily seen standing near the window overlooking the village below.
How can i help you?
Danjo would ask not turning his head from the current gaze he held out the window.

The wait was not long, which surprised Inari a bit. Perhaps the gods rained fortune upon this visit by allowing him to catch the newest Kazekage at a convenient time. Or perhaps he understood the implications of emissaries of the Daimyō arriving in the village. Either way, Inari had prepared himself to wait at least a twenty-four hour cycle before gaining audience. Simply nodding his head to the secretary he made his way into the office.
Upon setting eyes on the man Inari was not entirely sure what to feel. There was a sense of strength that was often seen in the higher ranking officials coming from him, which was to be expected from someone chosen to lead. His turned back told him everything he needed to know about the Kazekage's feelings about this meeting. Though, it mattered very little. Business was business, after all.
"Colonel Kurokawa Inari of the 75th Mounted Brigade," he said as he placed a fist over his heart and bowed. The name Kurokawa would undoubtedly be a cause for attention for the Kazekage, Inari just hoped that mention of his family would end there. "I have come by request of General Raiko," Inari informed as he reached into the carrying back on his waist and extracted an envelope then placed it on the desk. "Word has reached the higher ups of the situation Sunagakure is facing," he spoke in reference in the lose in funding. "General Raiko feels that it will be in everyone's best interests if we worked together to help rectify this situation."
And now it was time to make the big pitch.
"Since its inception Sunagakure has functioned, and pardon if what I say comes off as offensive, as a glorified mercenary corp. There have been times in which it has cooperated with Kaze no Kuni's armed forces," he said as pulled his sword from its sheathe just enough to displace the intricate fūin along the blade before returning it. "But General Raiko wishes to strengthen that connection."

An Unsuspected Proposal
When the man introduced himself and then bowed Danjo was taken back for a moment. He assumed idle respect to his station alone, but the words from this man spoke a deferance of some kind. As he continued speaking he offered an interesting proposal to say the least, yet Danjo couldn't help but feel as though there might be some form of subterfuge in his words. General Raiko wishes to help Sunagakure, it seemed that not all of those within the Daimyo's personal employ necessarily agreed with her previous actions then. She had cut the budget significantly and Danjo had assumed that the men arriving for some reason wished to, under the Daimyo's orders, to hammer down the metaphorical nails into Sunagakure's financial situations coffin. Yet openly the opposite was spoken today, this man wished to discuss the cooperation of what should be presumed to be the standing forces of the land of wind.
Danjo would turn towards the man once he finished speaking and bow with his hands in front of him in the symbol of the respect for another, one fist clasped over another held in front of the body as you bow.
I am Nanadaime Kazekage Seishen Danjo, i am honored to have you in my village. Danjo spoke after he bowed.
It would make sense why you had arrived without a formal letter or messenger, I assume the Daimyo may not be exactly aware of your presence here then. Danjo said as he motioned to the man to take a seat in a nearby chair, then Danjo would slowly walk to his own chair behind the desk.
Sitting in the chair he would motion towards the envelope, as though wondering if it was supposed to be delivered to him.
