It had been some time since Taikichi had come back to the village, but now that he was here, it was always the best option to at least check in. The old man having been a local legend of sorts, as being one who fought off death gods and demons threatening to breach this world. But legends were just that, legends. Truth of the matter was, the old man had seen and done more things for this village and its people then many in these days, and being who he was and what he was capable, the spirits told him he would be needed in the coming days.
The laerge white haired man made his way into the building, looking odd to most of the guards as he went. The younger generation didn't know him, but he still grinned as if he was the top dog, or elder that he was. Beaming that cocky and casual smile, he made his way through the hallways coming to the receptionist area after awhile. Along the walls were photos of previous Kazekages, and of others in the village,, one such actually was himself, much younger, when he was one of the prized Jounin of the village. But that was a long time ago, and he was much older now, although his hair was still as white and spiky as it had been.
As he turned form the photos, he saw the lovely receptionist behind her desk. Hi eyes brightened and widened, as a devilish smirk fell across his face. Slowly he sauntered over to the desk and leaned over, propping himself up with one of his arms on the desk.
"Awh, hello there cutie-----what is your name?"
He asked, trying to be all sweet as dirty thoughts crossed his mind. The woman didn't pay him any mind, as many who worked here were much too serious for this kind of man.
"Oh, the old silent treatment, your a tough cookie---I like that"
He said in a husky kind of purr, as he danced his fingers across the desk to try to get her attention.
WHACK
Came the sound as she slapped his hand hard with a ruler that seemed to appear from nowhere.
"Oooowh, dont gotta be rough sweetie---anyways, I'm here to see that cat fellow---a lil'birdy told me something is off and him and I need to have a heart to heart---
Though I would much rather have a heart to heart with you, cutie-p-----"
WHACK
He was cut off as another slap form the ruler was right across the cheek. With a frown, he shut up at that moment, and stepped away from the desk, waiting for her to let Matamune know he had a visitor.

The catkage, as people called him, was actually sitting in his chair for once going over a few documents concerning the Shukaku and all of the information he had on it. Weeks had passed since he last heard word from either of the three squads that were sent to track the beast.
He was starting to fear that the worse happened to them. With the troublesome times that the Sand was enduring, he needed every loyal shinobi he could spare.
Dipping his pen onto the ink pad that sat upon his desk, with a blotty sheet of parchment being used as a coaster, the catkage scribbled down a few reminders that instantaneously appeared within his head. The moment he began to draw his final stoke of kanji, a knock resonated at his door--
"Kazekage-dono!" the young receptionist bowed, as she always did before addressing Matamune formally. "Taikichi-san has come to visit you, and is requesting to speak to you right now."
"Hn," he pondered in response, trying to recollect his plan for the hour. "Kaoru-chan," he called, beckoning for his assistant. "Reschedule my 3 o'clock meeting. It seems Taikichi has returned to the village and wants to have a word with me."
"Hai!" her hands clasped as she bowed accordingly. She disappeared in a plume of smoke to do as she was commanded.
"Send 'em in."

He nodded as the kunoichi told him to head on in, rubbing his face as he entered the office. A red rectangular mark on his cheek from where she had smacked him, Taikichi stepped into Matamune's office, closing the door behind him.
"Y'know, every time I come here... since you've been around..
I've never gotten used to the cat thing"
He said with a grin, as he joked a bit before coming closer to the desk.
"Nice to see you again, Matamune-san"
He said with a smile.

His head turned as the pitter-patter of footsteps that entered his office altered him. His green oculars shifted dismissively. Lifting his pipe to his mouth, he inhaled a large plume of smoke.
"I am the Kazekage," he stated, swiftly speeding across the room with that cat-like flare that he had. "You will address me accordingly...unless you'd like to take an extended visit to the desert's new prison."
Jumping onto his desk so that he was standing right in front of Taikichi, he took another pull from his pipe. Matamune had grown tired of the comments about him being a cat long ago. It was annoying to hear more than it was infuriating, so he never thought much of the comments - he usually reacted to them much like he did today, by ignoring them. His visitor's failure to use the appropriate honorific was an entirely different case though, he'd killed people for less in his day.
"Why are you here?" he asked.

He smiled, shrugging off the cat mans threat because he was honestly not worried about it. He stepped forward looking around a bit.
"The office hasn't changed much, oh--- Straight to business I guess..."
He said, as he stepped a bit closer to the window, looking out. He turned to look at Matamune, a mild look of serious-ness in his face.
"A while ago, I felt an uneasiness, something had stirred in the Kaze no kuni, something that seemed to cause ripples across the spiritual lands...
You wouldn't happen to know what kind of being could do such a thing, Matamune-tono?"
He said, and jovial personality aside, a serious look had come across his face.

Folding his furry golden arms across his chest, he pondered for a moment before responding to what he was asked. Truth be told, he was surprised that Taikichi wasn't already aware of the Shukaku's escape. It became international news not long ago, but it seems not everyone was aware of Sunagakure's situation yet.
"The Ichibi, I presume?" he replied with his pipe resting on the tip of his lip. There was an unnatural calmness present within his tone. To Taikichi, and Kaoru who was on the other side of Matamune's relatively spacious office, it would appear as if the Kazekage had little interest in the tailed-beast. If this allegation passed through either of their minds, then they were correct. Matamune is a man cat of many beliefs. Among his beliefs, there was one in particular that he felt the strongest about - his belief that the strength of shinobi world has drastically declined over the generations. The catkage felt that the use of the bijū was an unneeded, and expendable practice.
"Taikichi-san, it is believed that recently the Shukaku has found a way to overcome its' sealing and take over it's host body. The sealings used were not of my own creation so I cannot vouch for this allegation, but it does seem likely. I assure you, Taikichi-san, this isn't an issue that is being overlooked by the village." Snapping his finger, he motioned with his thumb for Kaoru to seal the open window.
"Although this knowledge has been released into the pubic, I decided to share this information with you for one reason and one reason only." With smoke seeping from his lips as he exhaled a small cloud of ghastly white, he took a step closer to the edge of the desk. "I have a task I would like you to complete for me."

THe old man nodded as he took in what Matamune spoke of, when he did look away it was to the feather sticking out of his hair. The feather would glow for a split second and then the area near Taikichi would get a bit colder as energy was being manipulated, not from Taikichi but from the eagle spirit that was stepping out of the totem. Tomei once formed, would nod to Taikichi, as she understood what the old man wanted, and would fly off through the walls of the building and out into the great beyond. As a spirit, she was his ideal messenger when needing to contact back home.
"Ikiryo Shukaku Ichibi is loose? That would explain the bump in the spiritual realm, things have gotten a bit uneasy"
He said, his word usage played back into the old belief that some though the Shukaku was a ghost of the sand. While Taikichi and Matamune knew this wasn't true, it still held a traditional usage when Taikichi spoke of the demon. As Matamune spoke the last bit, Taikichi's hand came to his chin, rubbing a non-existent beard.
"A task you say? Now what could a retired man, just a lowly spiritualist and civilian now, do for you?"
He said, in a very playful kind of way. They both knew he was more then capable of doing anything the village required, and in some cases was better then most other ninja, because of his civilian status. He could go places many Ninja would not be seen or allowed, in such cases.

"You are known as a wandering hermit in our parts," Matamune started, recalling a few of the monikers he heard for Taikichi over the years. It was really surprising that he could recollect as many as he did, but that was barely important now.
"There is an organization known as the Bijūtsukai," he started, relaying the essentials first. "They are a group of individual who are believed to be after the bijū. One of their members is believed to possess the power to engage in direcct combat with a bijū by himself, and leave victorious."
"I am sure you see why I wish to gain information of this organization. I need you to use your resources that I've heard so much about to find any and all information that you can about them." Folding his arm across his chest, he looked at Taikichi to make sure he was following along. "I want to know everything there is to know about them. Everything."

Taikichi looked at the cat man as he lay it out there. It was pretty thick to swallow. Taikichi had some dealings with the demons in the past, and knew he could effect them, but these guys that were described sounded much to close to his family line. Begging the question could they have been related?
"Sou Ka"
He said, taking it all in. It was at this point in time, his feather glowed briefly, telling him Tomei was come back. The spirit of an eagle would come right through the wall, if Matamune could see or sense such things, he would take note. Taikichi looked over at the bird, as it gave him a grave look.
"Taikichi-sama, Aadragon has appeared at the monastery"
As the bird spoke, it wasn't known if Matamune could see or hear spirits so he assumed he couldn't and just took in what his friend said.
"Most grave matter indeed, alright---sounds good---so...yeaaaaaah"
He said and looked over at Tomei, before remembering something to give to Matamune.
"Keep this coin, if you need to get in touch with me, flip it three times in your hand---I'll know"
He said as he handed the coin to Matamune. It had the emblem of an eagle on one side, and Taikichi's grinning face on the other. As he did this he pulled a eagle spirit from his contract, and bound it to the coin, as the eagle emblem would symbolize its body. This would be the way Matamune could reach him, or at least alert him he wanted to communicate.
And with that done, he didn't have much more to say or do, he now had a dragon problem, probably something to do with that dragon from long ago, and he had a task ahead of him.
If there was nothing else he would leave, and head back to the monastery.
