History Born into the lineage of the Hyûga Clan's Jūken Masters, Enten was brought up by the addage that 'Practice makes Experience, Experience makes Mastery, Mastery makes Perfection.' Not troubled with the politics of the Clan, he was taught that those whom he holds dearest should always come before any cloak and dagger practices. For Enten, that which he held dear were his own two hands. Making his father proud, Enten would often be found practicing his Taijutsu in their home - the Hyûga clan dojo - striking a specialized Dummy with his Byakugan active, and learning the most complex of strikes and techniques.
As with all Jūken Masters, Enten was expected to excel at the Clan's special Taijutsu, and that he did. Enten was adept at all the forms and strikes of the Jūken - and his personality set him apart from the rest of the clan in this aspect. One with a passive mind fought more precisely than one who worried about ideals and ideologies.
Shortly after his successful Chuunin Exam, Enten found a problem with his technique. He could only strike One hundred and twenty eight of the 361 Tenketsu, due to the limitations placed on the learning of the Jūken placed on normal family members. Perplexed, Enten began to perform the Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō day after day, trying to find the problem in the technique.
The answer was given to him after a fighting display of the Clan Head in the Dojo, demonstrating the 'superiority' of his technique over Enten's father, the current Jūken Master. Speed. The Hakke Hyaku Nijūhachi Shō, while fast, was still slower than the Clan Head's Hakke Sanbyaku Rokujūichi Shiki. The solution was obvious, he needed to become quicker.
After considerable research, which consisted of begging his father to teach him how, Enten learned that if one trained with weights, one's strength and speed would increase. After the first few minutes, Enten decided it wasn't worth it -- But to Master his technique, he would have to put up with it. After a couple years of training with the weights, Enten felt he was ready to try again. This time, he aimed for all 361 Tenketsu, and for the very first time, successfully performed the Hakke Sanbyaku Rokujūichi Shiki to his own amazement. Enten's work ethic doubled that day, and he swiftly surpassed his own father - becoming the current Jûken Master of the clan.
To this day, Enten still either refuses to acknowledge, or doesn't recognize, the existence of a barrier between the Main House, and the Branch Families. To him, all students are students. And everyone has the potential to master the Jūken. Enten recently took a two year break from the village of Konoha, enclosing himself in the forests of Hi no Kuni where he could meditate and contemplate on his own abilities and those of his students. He has only recently returned.
