KAMINARI NO KUNI
Rocky Field
Rocky Field
Sou breathed in through his nose, and then breathed out through his mouth. He focused on his target, a massive boulder that lay before him. This was his training ground, isolated from the crowd and noise of the village. He held his sheathed nôdachi in his left hand, the curve of the blade down to indicate an offensive draw. He was training, keeping his edge sharp, as any member of the Kinkaku Butai would be expected to.
He bent his knees to assume a sword draw stance, and grasped the hilt of Kamigiri with his right hand. The razor chain of his right bracer snaked out and wrapped around the hilt of the blade as well. He stepped forward, drawing forth his blade. Electricity rippled down the sword as he flowed chakra into it and struck, the sword passing through the boulder like butter. He let go of the blade at that point, the chain holding it shooting out and rippling with electricity as well. The sword and chain lashed around, slicing through multiple other boulders in the field before spinning back around to Sou's hand.
He caught the blade by the hilt, and the electricity died down. His razorchain wound back into it's bracer and Sou spun around deftly. Facing away from the first boulder, he sheathed his blade. As the sword clicked into the scabbard, all of the boulders he had cut split cleanly in half, the upper portions sliding off the bottoms. He let out a breath he had held during the attack and glanced about at his handiwork.
"Effective. I should remember that tactic." He murmured softly. Extending his sword's strikes with his chain would likely be shocking enough on the battlefield to cause some opponents to hesitate long enough for a fatal strike.
