SUNAGAKURE NO SATO Gambling Hall "Hitoshirezu Kotoba Ichima... What a ridiculous name." Shinjin muttered to himself. His ANBU mask was tucked into the back of his belt overtop the leather strap that held his sword in place, only the shaggy white fur of it being visible. He wasn't going to be wearing it for this part of his investigation, since that would draw some suspicions. Still, he felt a little silly.
He stood outside the gambling hall the Kage had described as being the supposed base of operations for this gang, or at least a location where he might find some of them. He wasn't the gambling type, but for the sake of the mission he would have to be. Or at least have to be good enough at getting people to talk. So, he put on a smiling face and barged right in the door.
"Hello folks!" He said loudly, with a stupid cheesy grin on his face. "Ah, Shinjin-sama, I didn't think you were into this sort of place." One of the local residents who knew him said, and several others turned to see the popular shinobi. He laughed loudly, drawing even more attention to himself. "Well, I figured that since I've got some spare coin today and nothing else to do, I'd give it a shot."
While talking, Shinjin scanned the room for people intentionally not making eye contact with him, people that don't want to draw attention to themselves and thus don't pay attention to others. He found what he was looking for, at a table in the back. Pachinko, Mahjong, and some foreign card games were being played - as well as some energetic youths betting on Janken. The people he had an eye on were playing Mahjong. Shinjin was fortunate, he was actually good at that game.
He wandered around the hall for a little bit, slowly making his way towards the back table where his extremely non-interactive group were sitting. Once he reached the table, he grinned and spoke.
"Hello boys, what's goin' on?"

At the tables They sat not phased, as though they didn't care to speak to the very notable shinobi of the village, none of them made eye contact and all of them quietly grumbled at his entrance to their area.
"Sorry these tables are full." One of the men spoke after a long moment of silence after the words from Shinjin. They all continued looking away and it would be evident that one of the men slightly smirked when one of his compatriots told off the shinobi.

"Ah c'mon boys, I just want to sit down and chat with you. You know, about Kuchigakatai-dono."
As Shinjin said the name, he knew he's found the appropriate group of people as they all turned to stare at him at once. A smile found it's way to his face and he tilted his head to one side. "Did I say something wrong...?" The glint of steel warned him as the group lunged, seemingly as one, at him with blades bared. Shinjin vanished from the spot, reappearing off to one side with a quick Shunshin, and chuckled to himself as the group collapsed into each other and the table that had been behind him.
One of the men broke off from the rest to run for the front door, and Shinjin let him. The rest of his pals had gotten back up and were facing him now. "You really don't want to do this." He said softly, looking at them. Apparently, they did.
As the first enemy lunged at him, Shinjin deftly caught the man's wrist, stepping into his arm length and palm thrusting upwards, shattering the person's elbow. To silence the scream of pain, the shinobi chopped him in the temple, dropping the man like a sack of potatoes. From behind, he heard two of the enemies coming in.
Hiton chakra flowed through his cloak, causing the chakra reactive steel fibers to light up, blinding his attackers and catching their blades in the sturdy material. A spin ripped the weapons from their hands, rendering them disarmed, and a swift kick struck both of them in the head, sending the pair careening across the room. The final combatant was rethinking his stance when Shinjin tapped him on the shoulder, having vanished from where he'd been standing.
A punch to the face rendered him unconscious, and Shinjin hurried for the door. When he got outside, he placed two fingers to his lips and let out a sharp whistle which summoned a pair of cloaked and masked ANBU. He motioned behind him. "There are four unconscious fellows in there that need to be detained. They are members of the Hitoshirezu Kotoba Ichima."
He then looked around - and saw a knocked over stall to his right. That was the way his remaining target had run earlier. He grinned and looked up to the rooftops. Ōshidora had been waiting to follow anyone who left the building in a hurry, and so all he had to do was find the giant tiger. Placing his hands together, Shinjin vanished from the gambling hall.

The Chase
The unnamed gang member was running for his life through the the alleyways behind the bustling city streets, sweat pouring from his brow. He wiped the droplets with his sleeve as he continued stumbling down the alleyway hoping there was no one fast on his trail.
The sun rays piercing from overhead blocking his view from above, he quickly glanced behind him and in front of him, all clear it seemed.
He stopped for a brief second to catch his breath, his lungs burning, slow long breaths until the dizziness clouding his mind for the moments as he stood there breathing.

Ōshidora was easy to find - he was a giant white tiger after all. He was sitting atop a roof looking down at their escapee who was trying to catch his breath in an alleyway. Shinjin was somewhat disappointed - he had hoped the runaway would take them to his leader. Alas, he'd have to obtain that information through other means.
Shinjin appeared behind the runaway and reached out to tap him on the shoulder. "So, we left off talking about your leader, right?"

The stuttering fool
The man jumped to the other side of the alleyway then pulled out a small knife brandishing it towards Shinjin while he continued visibly shaking with fear.
"Dddddon..onnt...Don't mmmmmmove, you shinobi ssssscccccum, ill..ill.ill...ill....ill slice you."
The man tried his hardest to keep his fear from showing through his currently stuttering demeanor. Poised in a position like he was in charge with the blade in an outstretched hand towards Shinjin.

"That really wouldn't be in your best interest."
Ōshidora let out a low growl from his position above the man. His massive form blocked out the sunlight, revealing the white tiger in all it's glory. "Now I really don't want to have to sic Ōshidora on you. Just drop the weapon and tell me all about Kuchigakatai-dono. You know, things like where I can find him, who he's with. Things like that." Shinjin smiled broadly, tilting his head to one side. "What do ya' say?"

Stuttering fool
"I dont care who you are or what you think you can do, i ain't gonna tell you nothing.
The man would speak and then spit towards shinjins feet.
"Don't come any closer, im gonna cut you.....Im gonna, cccuttt, yyyouuu.."
He would say as he would lung forward with the blade towards shinjin.

Shinjin sighed - why did they always choose to fight?
He side-stepped the attack, stepping into the opponent's reach, and snapped his left hand up in an attempt to grab the civilian's wrist, at which point he would twist it to force the knife to drop and slam his right palm upwards into the elbow in an attempt to break it, much like he had done to the first attacker back in the gambling hall.

The broken arm fool
an audible pop could be heard as the bone dislocated, the man screamed out in pain and agony. Breathless from the torment he stood there stuttering in audibly for several moments, then for a moment as his pupils dilated he looked towards shinjin.
"All i know is that he doesn't hangout at that hall, those men and i are lookouts for the gang. Anyone coming in asking questions we pass on their description then the gang deals with them."
The man breathed in shallow breaths trying to fight away the agonizing feeling of pain sweeping through his limb, for fear that worst pain would be inflicted if he didn't give up some valuable intel.
"I...i..i..i have, never been to the other places myself. But.but..but..but, iiiiiii heard they stay at a hotel here in town. One of those nice one's, big fancyyyyyy room, private games with other people with money. ugggggggghhhhh."

"Tsk, tsk tsk..." Shinjin clicked his teeth, shaking a finger at the injured man. "Now now, I know you heard some more than that. How can I go anywhere if I don't even know the name of the place I'm looking for?" Shinjin placed his hands on his hips and looked up at Ōshidora, who trotted off to find an ANBU to bring to Shinjin. "So, I'll ask nicely just once - what's the name of this place I'm looking for?"

Broken loyalty or broken bones
The man writhed in pain for a few moments as though trying to fight against the decision placed before him. He could just as easily tell this man the wrong place and save his hide and stay loyal to his gang or he could spill the beans. It was a hard decision on one hand he could prevent getting beat up from this shinobi or on the other if the shinobi failed then his gang would most likely kill him themselves. Choices, choices.
"OK, i will tell you, but you gotta promise me protection from the gang if they find out i double crossed them i am done for. They stay at the Oasis hotel on the northeastern corner of the city, that where they play their high roller games. Word to the wise better to not enter that place as you did with the gambling hall otherwise they will get away before you even have a chance."
The man continued shaking for a few moments wondering if the shinobi would follow through with his demands or not. Eyeing him as though he was about to be killed anyway.

"Now think really hard before I leave you, guy."
Two ANBU appeared next to Shinjin, their arms crossed and waiting orders. In addition, Ōshidora was now back - lazily perched on the roofs above them. "If I go to this place and find out it's not the right place, I would hate to think what my buddies here would do to you. We are dealing with vicious criminals, after all, who may have had something to do with the disappearance of our kage." He stared down at the man, awaiting a confirmation.

Shakey agreement
The man silently moaned as he stared around his pupils still even more dilated as he obviously was going into shock from the pain.
"It's all gooddddddd.... you got ittt...."
Falling over the man incoherently spoke as he pointed to the tiger precariously perched above.
"Hey Kitty."
The man spoke as he layed on his back, it was obvious he did not handle pain well. A weasily sort of man who was only useful for sitting around and remembering different things, if he was even useful at all.

"Alright boys, take him away." Shinjin said, watching the two ANBU grab the prisoner and vanish with him. The elder shinobi rolled his neck and started walking back down the alleyway. "Well, time to pay this Oasis a little visit." He said, a grin coming to his face. Maybe this time he'll have a little more fun...
