Taigetsu stood outside the wall of Kirigakure, facing away from it as he waited for Sadamune to join him. His large Yûgôken hung from it's leather strap on his back, itching to be used in battle, but that would have to wait. The Mizukage's plan was a good one, ambushing this nukenin while disguised as the Daimyo's men, and with the hakra Saiken provided Isobu he'd be able to sense where they were - ensuring that they were the first group the nukenin met.
Still, the plan wouldn't work if his assigned 'partner' didn't show up. He glanced back towards the vllage, awaiting Sadamune's arrival - his face calm but impatience seeping into his mind. Chill out, Taigetsu the internal voice of Saiken stated. And remember this Sadamune doesn't know what you are, so he couldn't be expected to understand why this would be important to you. A sentiment that Taigetsu definitely understood. Still, he couldn't help being somewhat impatient.

Sadamune's preparations were completed. He had tucked away essential equipment and double-checked Yosuzume before heading to meet his temporary partner. Part of him wondered why he's been chosen on a mission to rescue the Jinchūriki of the Sanbi. The rest of him shrugged it off and stayed in the mission mindset. This wasn't a time to ponder things.
He stopped at Taigetsu and looked at him.
"Lead the way," he suggested.

"Hai." said Taigetsu, turning to begin walking away.
Baka! Introduce yourself! The voice of Saiken lashed out in his head, causing Taigetsu to stop in his tracks. The Hozuki turned to look at Sadamune, an irritated look on his face. "We haven't been formally introduced." He said, crossing his arms. "I am Hozuki Taigetsu, a pleasure to work with you."
Shake his hand, baka.
Taigetsu offered a hand to shake.
This is wasting time. Taigetsu responded internally to Saiken while offering his hand, his face otherwise neutral. Only a few moments for formality. Isobu told you they were still on the water, also the nukenin is travelling with a hostage, so we've got the advantage of speed.

Sadamune didn't hide the fact that he was confused. A raised eyebrow was enough to convey that message, but be obliged. This man, Taigetsu, was an odd one.
"Hikoshirō Sadamune," he replied, shaking Taigetsu's hand. And if that was that, he was ready to be off.

There, happy?
Very much so.
Taigetsu nodded, his face back to completely passive, and turned in a direction opposite the village. Chakra channeled to his feet allowed him to crouch down and leap away at Shunshin speeds, vanishing from the gates.
