It had been a few hours since they left Kirigakure, Taigetsu travelling in silence all that time. He was focused, heading in the direction of a known patrol route the Daimyo's mercenaries and nukenin used. Saiken had picked up some faint traces of Isobu as they passed over water towards the land, but not enough to decipher a location yet. For now, they'd continue with the Mizukage's plan - which wasn't a bad one, he had to admit.
The shinobi came to a halt in a high tree branch overlooking the patrol route, expecting Sadamune to be stopping nearby. He leaned against the tree, staring down at the empty stretch of road. "No patrols yet." He said softly, and crossed his arms while leaning. Should I try to reach out to Isobu? The moon is still full, and I should still be able to reach him.
Taigetsu considered the option for a moment before shaking his head. No. We don't need to distract Shen any more than we already have. If he's communicating with us, the enemy might find out.
And so he waited, for they couldn't blend in with the ranks of the Daimyo's men if all of their patrols were accounted for and suddenly there was an extra one.

Sadamune was silent on a branch of his own. He was camouflaged with the branches and the leaves by using a Henge, waiting for a patrol to pass by. While one arm rested, the other was ready with two kunai. The kunai had wire tied to the rings.
He waited like this and didn't move an inch while he watched.

A three man patrol was heading this way. One of the group carrying a torch, even though there were flashlights in this day and age. Just another thing that pointed to the Daimyo and his followers refusal to advance with the times. Of the patrol men, two were about medium height, and their uniforms seemed to be about the same size as Taigetsu and Sadamune's, the third man seemed much larger then them.
"You guys hear about this Metal Man?? Ya, I heard he was one of them Kangoku escapees, say they did crazy experiments to him, made him half machine. Pffft them stories aint true, probably just another urban legend"
Their conversation, overheard as they walked past the tree. One of them stopped, looking over at the tree Taigetsu and Sadamune were in. For a second he thought he saw a silhouette high up in the tree, but blinked and realized it was just the light playing tricks. He moved to rejoin the others, as they passed by.

"Kirigakure no Jutsu..."
A thick fog rolled in at the activation of the technique, causing the patrollers line of sight to dissipate to but a few feet ahead of them. Taigetsu, standing above them all, would vanish from his tree branch only to maneuver behind them using the principles of Muon Satsujin. Once behind them, he would move both arms forward, liquefying them in the process. His aim in doing this was to surround the heads of the two smaller men, suffocating and holding them in place in the process.
The larger man he would leave to Sadamune.
Jutsu UsedKirigakure no Jutsu | Hiding in Mist Technique This technique is a staple of Kirigakure shinobi, in that it summons a thick fog which is impossible to see through without assistance.
Muon Satsujin Jutsu | Soundless Murder Technique A method of killing known to Kirigakure shinobi. This utilizes silent movements and surprise attacks to attack and kill an enemy from behind without detection. Advanced users of this technique can locate and attack enemies through sound alone. Taigetsu is particularly good at this, because while normally a blade is used he is capable of doing it with just his body.
Suika no Jutsu | Hydrification Technique The signature technique of the Hozaki clan, this ability allows the user to turn his body into water at will. This technique can make it impossible to receive damage from physical attacks. From a single hair, to the skin, muscles, and clothing - everything can be liquefied and solidified at will to allow for physical evasion, infiltration, surprise attacks, or use in other techniques. This technique does, however, cause the user to have a high susceptibility to lightning-based techniques
In addition to liquefying at will, this technique can allow the user to modify the shape and scope of their own body – increasing the musculature and size of a limb to increase the strength of a physical blow, for instance.

Using the Kirigakure no Jutsu? Sadamune thought. He didn't agree with the strategy. That was most likely to alert all three targets of their presence. Even if they couldn't see the attacks coming, they could still react. Sadamune grit his teeth, but went with it. He broke his Henge and flung the two kunai at the smaller men. The aim was for their skulls. Judging from the sound of things, Taigetsu had immobilized them.
That meant Sadamune was meant to deal with the larger one, which he was fine with. Taigetsu's actions did render the wire useless, however, so he let go of the two strings. Next, he attacked. In one swift movement, Sadamune was above the larger man. Yosuzume was thrust down, aiming to pierce the larger man's skull from above.

Once the water wrapped around their heads, the other two would begin thrashing about. He had immobilized their heads this was true, but not their bodies, which alerted the third larger man to the attack. He turned while drawing his blade as he pulled it through the air in an arc downward at Taigetsu, something metallic pierced his skull. For a moment there he stood there, eyes wide, unable to move as blood drooled its way down his skull past his eye. He fell over twitching, as he died. The other two soon followed suit.

Taigetsu was confident that his companion would take care of the opponent, but just in case he tightened his grip on the two he held and dragged them backwards with a leap. Once Sadamune's sword pierced the larger target's skull, he allowed the mist around them to dissipate and waited for his captives to cease their struggles. "Ok, you take one of these smaller guys - I'll take the big one and this one." He stated, placing his hands together and summoning a Mizu Bunshin from the water of one of his water bottles.
He took a swig from the second of his three bottles and began assisting his clone in stripping the clothes and equipment of the patrol. Once dressed, they would Henge to match their features. "Shall we head to join the Daimyo's forces now...?" He asked rhetorically, a slight grin across his stolen features.
Jutsu UsedMizu Bunshin no Jutsu | Water Clone Technique This technique allows the user to create a clone of water. This clone has a limited range it can exist from the originator, and can interact with the environment. Upon receiving damage, it reverts back to water.
