There are three groups within Kirigakure no sato, that actually requiring listing and the like. The first and foremost at the tip of everyone's mind is the Seven Swordsmen _{Kirigakure Shinobigatana}, this group has traditionally been set up with legendary blades, but in Rokudaime Mizukage's time they were more for traditional show then actual function. In Shichidaime Mizukage Rinruri's time, they are a prominent and trusted group of the most advanced and elite swordsmen the village has to offer. The weapons they have are either passed down, like Zabuza's sword, or the like, or a new one is forged in the event the other cannot be found *^{Ref. Samehada, Kiba, Kubikiribōchō} Although it is known certain swords were never returned to the village as they should have been, it is up to the Seven Swordsmen to locate the weapons and return them to Kirigakure no sato as well as protect the legacy to which they have inherited.

The seven are now compromised of two generations, the newest one, which is a mixture of the older blades still in the village's possession and newer ones forged and made for new members. Some members, find special blades throughout the world *^{Ref. Izanami} others take to forging their own. As it stands there are two generation of living Seven Swordsmen, the older Seven and the Newer ones. The older is tasked with training their replacements and either passing them their blade or---helping forge a new one for them.

The second group is the Mei Kiri or the Dark Mist. Much like Konohagakures ANBU, this group is made up of Chuunin to Jounin level ninja who not only serve as Mizukage protection but also handle blacklisted or off the records mission and unsanctioned killing. In the public view, they are the Traditions Police, to keep other shinobi in line when need to or dispose of them when and if it comes to that. The reason their task has branched out into policing is due to the high volume of Nukenin which originate from Kirigakure no sato, to help alleviate some of the pressure on the Oinin Corp for such things happening.

The last group is known only by their insignia ナミ Nami and they are comprised of the best Jounin in the village *^{5 Jounin}. Nami is tasked with special assignment and infiltration, being the best and strongest, they are given honorary titles, accommodations and prestige. They are also the village's face in the likes of adverse groups attack the village, and the villages ambassadors to other villages. As the best of the village, they are treated with high respect, and have council with the Mizukage once a week to discuss important matters of state and shinobi. They are sometimes often jokingly nicknamed the Jounin Council as a reference to the groups functions and the like.
