Unranked
Shi’he Quan or the Twelve Harmonies Fist is the martial art style signature of the Yun Clan, originating from their spiritual beliefs rooted with the Celestial Zodiac Order and immortalized by their principles of grace, skill, and strength, the martial art is an elaborate External Blow style that has earned its reputation of being foolish to underestimate as well as a reflection of the inner discipline of the house hold. The style uses large, extended, circular movements to improve overall body mobility in the muscles, tendons, and joints. Included in this form is a repertoire of a good balance of hand and foot techniques and a mix of whirling, running, leaping, and acrobatics making the moves difficult to perform, requiring great flexibility and athleticism comparable to gymnasts. Signature incorporations of those acrobatics include whirlwind kicks, the butterfly jump, the side somersault, and the classic flying jump kick.
Through trained and precise chakra control, practitioners of the Twelve Harmonies Fist aim to do significant damage to the body by multiplying the kinetic energy of the blow upon impact, sending shockwaves. The chakra multiplies and carries the force further along the point of connection, allowing a further area of attack with each hit, increasing the harm and effect of the strike. Because each strike has its natural kinetic energy multiplied, even what would appear to be an unassuming blow such as the distance of less than an inch(IE: One inch punch) can have serious results.
Training to this style of martial art is rigorous as Yun are instructed from a young age to acquire the type of chakra control to focus energies even the point of a pin needle and multiple tenketsu if necessary. To acquire both the stamina and accuracy in chakra control needed to use this style effectively, typical training methods such as but not limited to Water Walking, Wall Walking, and the Leaf Concentration Practice are intensified. Some methods to increase difficulty are, but of course, aren’t explicitly restricted to adding weights during surface walking practices, using seals to provide resistance to chakra molding, and then meditative practices to supplement clarity of mind to provide focus and eliminate distractions.
Because this martial art is signature to the clan and its discipline is crucial to members of the clan, Yun also benefit with excellent chakra control. With the ability to cause serious exterior damage with placid then suddenly explosive manuevers and the chakra control to supplement a variety of other attacks makes Shi’he Quan one of the strongest martial art styles in Iwagakure.
Xiangua-Marriage of Two Forces
By focusing their chakra to vitalize the body over a steady period, the Yun is capable of increasing their current physical strength, speed, and reflexes, all making them more of a deadly combatant on the battlefield. This boost in their physical attributes can be sustained for a short while, depending on the level of chakra control and stamina of the user at hand.
Suodi-Shrunken Earth
A Yun clan method of high speed movement infamous for its velocity and the aftermath at the takeoff point. By focusing large amounts of chakra through the body, then releasing it in a kinetic blast, akin to a hammer to the bullet like manner, the Yun explodes, literally cratering the earth behind them in the wake and bolting in a straight line. Specifically designed for long distances and to utilize the excessive flight time by this jutsu, the Yun cushions their landing by applying chakra to their feet-no different in principle as if walking on water, to absorb the residual velocity. This justu is most practical in having to cross large distances in a short amount of time as the use in close quarters risks the Yun colliding(painfully) into another object or largely overshooting their destination.
Húnyi-Soul Art
The Yun clan are famous for their unique practice of Fūinjutsu and specialty in the art. What they call as Húnyi or Soul Art those of the Yun clan have devised up a method of incorporating fine and elaborate seals on the body to what appear to be intricately designed body tattoos are modeled after the animal celestials of the zodiac alignment. The effect of Húnyi, similar to the Curse Seal, when activated siphons from the bearer’s chakra supply and is manipulated through the matrix of characters drawn upon their body, allowing the Yun to employ a variety of effects without the necessary hand seals; although it still requires skill on the user’s behalf to control how much chakra is used in the technique to avoid overuse without seals to balance.
While each tattoo warrants different results, they all have their origins rooted with the zodiac alignment. One with a Dragon Tattoo may be able to breathe fire without the use of seals while one with an Ox may be able to increase their strength by empowering the muscles. However once one is branded with an animal it can never change. Because these seals are intimately connected to the user’s chakra circulatory system, removal can very well leave permanent damage-providing a Yun both a boon and a burden.
