Tensei sat outside the Kogaku Clan housing, a spot easily observed by those who walk the Ninja district of Kusagakure, along with four others of his clan. They had a variety of instruments strewn about their seats. The five of them finished tuning their equipment, and began to play.
Some steel drums started the music off, accompanied by some strums on Tensei's guitar. Before long, the drums kicked in, and the rhythm was started.
"What is the measure of the common man? No deeds to share, gifts to compare..."
Tensei was the group's singer, and he kept time with tapping fingers on his guitar when he wasn't playing it, the bassist across accenting his vocals with soft bass plucks.
"... When all I have it rests on ticking hands. I have my ways, descent delays."
All five of them were playing by this point, a song they'd rehearsed many times. The five Kogaku also had their headphones on, and as such weren't deafening each other while playing their music. A few passersby had stopped - there was always a show when the Kogaku began to play.
"And I have tried to make you see a brighter hue..." And the rest of the Kogaku joined in on the next portion, "... but deep down I know I'll be forever blue."
"And there's a blackness inside me that's breaking through - but deep down I know I'll be forever blue."
An instrumental break came in, and the pace of the song was beginning to rise. A slight dip in the pace brought back the vocals.
"Nobody wants to learn a thing these days. An endless coil, of waste and toil... Empires are built up on the ashes of the weak and frail, those doomed to fail."
The music began to pick up again and the other Kogaku joined Tensei on the song once more.
"And I've been trying to set free a lighter hue, but deep down I know I'll be forever blue. And there's a blackness inside me that's breaking through - but deep down I know I'll be, forever blue..."
"Forever blue... Forever blue..."
Using their chakra, the Kogaku began to warp the sound of the music and their voices, making it sound like they were using far more advanced equipment than they were currently.
"My colors will release the bonds again, I'm growin' into all I could have been."
The music was very clearly picking up, but doing so at a slow pace. Still, the more they played the more the music intensified. As his clanmates sunk further into the music, Tensei's eyes closed and he finished the song off.
"All of these changes that you see- maybe it's all just chemistry? You've made a monster out of me- baby it's all just chemistry~!"
He dropped his head, strumming his guitar fervently as the crescendo built, his voice distorting with chakra to match the dream-like sound of the music. "'m gonna burn it all, gonna burn it all, gonna burn it all, gonna burn it - gonna burn it all, gonna burn it all, gonna burn it all, gonna burn it-" And, as abruptly as it started, the music stopped - only the light instrumental from the beginning of the song playing.
Tensei let his guitar rest as the bassist finished them out.
"Whoo. Good job guys." He said, smiling broadly. A pattering of applause came from the audience who had gathered. The musicians stood up and bowed graciously. They might not be the strongest of shinobi, but the Kogaku could at least entertain.

Among the people applauding, was Natsume. As the band finished their set, and some people began to clear off, she would remain behind to see them.
"Hey, not a bad sound... Tensei right?"
She would ask, considering it was not a huge village, and they more then likely had been through the academy together, given their age.
"You guys are pretty good"
She would say, as she looked them over and the instruments. Her mind wandering to their combative advantages before coming back to the present.

Tensei turned his attention to the person who had walked up. "Ah, hai." He said in response to his name. Scratching his head timidly, he smiled at the statement of quality and shrugged. His band mates had sat back down to tune their instruments some more while he spoke. "We try our best. Even in the world of shinobi, music can be important." He set his guitar down so it propped up against his seat.
"I know we've seen each other around, but I don't know that we've ever been formally introduced. I'm Kogaku Tensei, chûnin." He said, offering his hand and a shy smile. "And I'm glad you enjoyed our music!"

She smiled to him.
"Shikijô Natsume, or Sumi for short"
She said, and kind of kept her rank to herself. It wasn't one of those things you bring up in public, not that she was paranoid or anything. It was just easier not to say it.
"Yeah, it had a nice feel to it, besides, I'm alos interesting in seeing what other shinobi are doing around the village, especially one with specialties. I like to keep up to date to events and the like, and uhm... right, I had seen you guys performing the other day and felt like coming in next time you were"
She had said, not telling them how she saw them performing the other day. Namely from her house, on her large television like crystal.

Tensei chuckled, shy smile still in place. "Gee, thanks. We always appreciate repeat audiences." He turned back to his clansmen who were behind him, one of whom motioned for Tensei to come over so they could discuss the next song they were going to play. "Ah, right. S-sorry... We're preparing for our next song so if you want to stick around we'll be starting again soon." He said, waving to Sumi as he stepped back over towards his guitar, picking it up and sitting down before conversing with his clansmen.

Natsume nodded, as she took a step back and looked around. She would wait while Tensei and his clans men got together to do their next set. Looking around she spotted a chair and made her way to it, turning it to sit upon it backwards, she would watch and wait.
"Tensei... I wonder"
She said, focusing her senses towards the man. She was interested to see if his music carried chakra, as she had heard he had an affinity for music and the like.
