The staff were wondering if, for the now, the members would mind if the smaller villages were taken out just until the site can get on its feet and build up a healthy population in the primary five villages.
Let us know what yous think about it. :]

Yous've spoken and so we have removed the other villages for the time being. We left Areno since it's pretty much needed, and any miscellaneous villages yous need to make use of can be made in there in your personal threads. We'll add the other villages back as soon as demand for more variety picks up on the site.

No, I'm afraid not D. Orochimaru, Hiruzen, etc never existed in this AU timeline, so not even the seeds of Otogakure would exist. Feel free to bring them over as Nukenin, though; we happen to need a few more of those!

Or you can even start this site's version of Otogakure. IC of course.

We're starting after the Second Ninja War. I fail to see how canons throw a wrench in anything. There's a thread already outlining why the war happened and such. No one really said anything about trying to live up to the canon, hence why canon characters don't exist here.

I've been on a lot of Non-Canon, AU RPs, a lot of them were very successful, Original Flavor D. There is also something quite alluring about giving one's own twist to a popular and well-liked universe. In my personal opinion I prefer AU worlds without any canons.

I agree with M. My argument for why no canons should be allowed is it lacks originality. Your argument about allowing them to attract members is definately true. But it attracts the wrong members. I.E. God modders who will use Mangekyou, Rinnegan and Jinchuriki. Nobody likes those kind of rpers. An AU world without canons would attract quality over quantity.

:/ History repeats itself, Konaha + Canons = bad.
Nuff said.

So, back on topic, I personally see how it could be a good idea, because on Konaha the lesser shinobi villages generally were clutter, however, there were a select few people who did like them. I know that I personally preferred the lesser villages to the Five Great Nations. Not simply because I was the ruler of Kusa (for like a week). This is my legitimate opinion. I propose that Ame, Kusa and Taki be added. For arguments sake Yu should also be added, seeing as at this time they would have still been a shinobi village. The lesser villages offer to people more opportunities, I have passed over many RP sites because they did not have the lesser villages available. I think that since they are a key part of the storyline that they should still be on here. I am not simply saying this due to my contradictory (troll) nature either, I think that the lesser villages are extremely important, seeing as they serve as the battlegrounds of war. The re-addition of the lesser villages could possibly, or even eventually, make for quite the interesting addition to the storyline, as they did more than once on Konaha.

Yeah, I agree, it's about time the restriction be lifted.
