An infamous international prison.
| D O C U M E N T A T I O N N A M E· Demon Lantern Castle. · Blood Prison. C L A S S I F I C A T I O N· Non Shinobi Village. I N H A B I T A N T S· Not on File. S Y N O P S I S· A large castle manned exclusively by ANBU that serves as a criminal containment facility or prison, located somewhere near Hidden Grass. The prison is situated near a cliff, beneath which is a wide raging river with tremendous currents that threaten to drown those who attempt to escape. Aside from the Heavenly Prison imprisonment technique and the lethal whirlpools surrounding the prison, the prison itself has certain death traps set up in case prisoners attempt to escape. Deep under the prison is an underground laboratory, which is connected to the warden's office at the top of the prison via a stairway hidden behind a bookcase. The lab contains various electronics, as well as an operating table. Toshihide Maka is known to visit the prison and use this laboratory (as well as the prisoners) for her research and experiments. The prison was once an international prison, before the Fourth Shinobi World War. The ANBU in charge have no regard of a prisoner's circumstances of being sent there, and outside of a prisoner's death, allows them to leave only if the village of the prisoner in question sends an official request for release or they are pardoned by Subori. Due to the Heavenly Prison sealing away their chakra, prisoners usually try to prevent trouble in order to avoid abuse from the ANBU or becoming one of Maka's test subjects, resulting in an usually quiet and calm environment. Prisoners are let out from morning to sunset for daily exercise and meals, and at the end of the day they are instructed to return to their cells for sleep. Regulation 23 states that prisoners who attempt to escape or other troublemakers receive three days in solitary confinement in the disciplinary cell; clause 6 states second time offenders get five days, third time is a week, and a fourth is permanent. |
