Sweat poured down the old mans face as he continued through his newly adopted training regime. His fists flowing through the swift and powerful motions against the Mook Yan Jong, controlled breaths as he found his way back through the techniques that he had once used as a young man. When he had finished his taijutsu portion of his training he took a small break allowing himself to move away from the currently uninhabited training room to a place more suitable for the next training he had in mind.
A little while later koga found himself in a deserted corner of the outdoor training grounds of the village hidden in the clouds. Placing his bag down he slowly walked a small distance to make sure his belongings would not be caught in the radius of his training.
Carrying only his sword cane he stood facing off in the direction of the mountains and lands beyond. Then with a flash he drew his blade working through kenjutsu movements known only to the other masters of cloud style kenjutsu. He did not pull forth the chakra to perform the full techniques knowing it may decimate the nearby environment. After an hour of this practice transpired koga gracefully sheathed his blade and then stood breathing calmly.
After several minutes of continuing his survey of the terrain and he knelt down setting his sword cane next to him. Then slowly with calm breathes he fell into meditation, thinking upon the movements remembering every slice and slash of his sword. As he sat in meditation his body ached from the exertion, knowing full well he had not trained like this in quite some time koga knew it would be an uphill battle. The strength and vigor of youth far past him he would have to rely on his strength of mind as he had for many years.
He stood up then for old time sake decided to send a message to those who had seen him in his glory days. His hands gracefully formed seals then with a chakra control honed over seventy years he released the energy.
Yama no arashi no jutsu
The bolt of lightning flowed forward from his outstretched index and middle finger streaking across the landscape. From the valley to the ears of the villagers and shinobi would be a clear sound of thunder as though a bolt of lightning had fired, even though there was no overcast currently.
When the smoke cleared there was a path of rubble and destroyed vegetation in a thirty meter straight line from his fingers.
Koga wore a playful smirk and then chuckled to himself, it looks as though these old bones may still have some fight left in them he said.

Standing a ways off from where the man had been practicing, was Saito. Why was he there? Simple, boredom. In actuality, Saito was rather impressed the old bag of bones had it in him to do these things.
"Not bad, Gramps... "
He would say, just kind of looking at the guy, without any real care in his eyes.

Chuckling to himself as he calmly walked back towards his bag, his hands hiding in the folds of the opposites sleeve akin to the ways of monks. A habit of Koga's maybe from age, or his experiences, but the man had to many experiences with war then to ever let his guard to dropped.
So nice to see you Kurintarabashi Saito, it seemed i would not have the need to send for your summons after all.
Koga spoke with an air of gentle familiarity to the Chunin, hoping that he would not have to deal with the brooding temperament Saito had been known for.
Walking to his things he gently drew a scroll from the bag, unrolling it flat across a nearby stone Koga formed a seal. A poof of smoke and a hot steaming tea pot appeared whisping with soft puffs of fragrant honey.
Koga did not speak but motioned to the side opposite the teapot from himself, a gesture for Saito to join him for tea.

Saito would look at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Summons? For me? Pffffft... Why would you need me, old man...I ain't into that kind of stuff."
He would say, considering Saito didn't know the guy all too well, or at least well enough to know him by name.

Koga peered into the distance while his hand without thought poured the tea into the two nearby cups. After pouring the tea he grasped a cup and began to sip the sweet honey tea. The tea relaxing his body and focusing his mind.
I had hoped to see how your training was going? I have not seen you training for some time.
The words blunt but not meant to offend mostly just the ire perceptions of koga's age. Saito was a remarkable shinobi from what Koga had heard and seen, but it was his desire to seek vengeance for the wrongdoings onto his family. Most shunned him or made fun of him, but Koga had lived during the last war, he had seen the crimes laid bear for all to see. Even the greatest countries make mistakes, but even still it had always crossed koga's mind that someone greatly wished for saito to seek his vengeance. While else blame the leaf if it was not actually true what they had done, there was assumably a reason why saito believed what he believed.

He raised an eyebrow looking at the old man.
"And why would you care about my training, Koga-Jiji?"
He saod, looking at the old man, as he folded his arms and leaned up against one of the trees nearby. Totally nonchalant.

Koga laughed at the derogatory and disrespectful term for an old man, peering towards the young chunin.
There's that fiery attitude, this was why had i wished to check up on you. A chunin with so much drive and determination would obviously be working very hard towards accomplishing their goals.
Koga said with a sideways glance towards Saito, he knew very much that the young man had no respect for someone he didn't feel deserved it. This was an appropriate feeling for a young man so full of anger and resentment towards circumstances outside of his control.
So now i have answered your question, will you answer mine?

He looked at the old man as he suckled down that tea like it was the nectar of a hummingbird feeder to his buzzing lifestyle.
"No"
He said all cut and dry. Answering questions to people you dont really know, who ask you about how skilled you are, is not something that made sense to Saito. He looked at the old man, and began to wonder about him.
"I dont like to talk about what I know, what I am capable of or how it is all going... Lets talk about something else"
He said, making it known that he was sociable, but not open to talking about certain things.

Koga thought about ways to be able to communicate with the stubborn young man, but in the end he assumed he knew saito's arrogance would prevail. Yet maybe if koga could test the young man himself, he would be able to gather the intel he had desired. Saito had already proven to be able to keep secrets, now Koga just needed to know if he was easily provoked.
Well then, Koga spoke, if you do not wish to answer my question it would seem that we have nothing to talk about. It is a sad day when the young shinobi of this village do not take the time to except gracious gifts that have been gifted to others with age and experience. So with that it mind, you are dismissed now little genin.
He said with a motion of his fingers as though shooing a cat.

Saito just looked at the man, like he was insane. Cause the old guy really was, he was a billion years old, always asking about the students and younger shinobi around the village. Always wanting to offer assistance and "training" it was just odd. Ninja don't give out their secrets, even if it is just education. On top of which, having been through his whole life mocked for his thoughts on revenge against a village that none believed would do such a thing.
It was easy to see why Saito would not so willy nilly trust or like this old man, for any reasons. Especially considering they had just met.
The old mans words fell on ears that cared little for his taunts, Saito knew this ruse, incite an enemy to attack and then make a fool of them in their angry sloppy assault. It was SOP, to unbalance the enemy. Saito didn't fall prey so easy.
"Cute. Incitation is a Genin's tactic, to illicit an unbalanced attack form an enemy because you cloud their judgement with an emotional response... A rookie's tool, are you certain that you are The Koga... He would have been better then such a simple ruse"
Saito would remark, as he raised an eyebrow to the man. It was easy to see how he had come to be where he was, because when Saito put aside his grudge against the Leaf Village and his inner hatred, he had a truly brilliant tactical mind.

Koga silently smirked as he peered toward saito, his eyes meeting the yuong mans for a moment.
Though i may not have gained a emotional response your own pride has still defeated your logic. You have admitted that you have heard of me, or that you know of me. For a shinobi that views my methods with such standards it would seem you have fallen for the trap you claimed was beneath you. You have shared valuable intel with a man you had claimed not to know and obviously don't trust.
Koga waited for the response of the chunin understanding that the young man's self image would not be so easily tarnished. He will inevitably try to prove himself superior, one way or another.

He smirked, at last someone was at least trying.
"In actuality, I never spoke of my standards or the bar I set for them. Which means you are making an assumption about a potential enemy. Case in point, I have said very little about what I know, why I know it and the like, but you have openly stated you wished to keep tabs on my training or the training of the younger generation, on top of which you openly displayed your techniques when I first arrived which already puts me at the advantage in the knowledge of your abilities, but leaves you at the disadvantage as I have not shown nor mentioned my own."
He would say, looking to the old man. He had those dead seriues eyes, and for a moment there, the tension was held thick and ominous.
Until Saito chuckled.
"You haven't changed much, Osu-Koga."
He said with a smirk.

Koga smiled at his young pupil it had been sometime since they last exchanged bantering of wit and intelligence. Saito had always struck Koga in such an interesting way, it was as though he was an old man trapped in the body of a young man. His intelligence far above his peers and even many jonin, it was amazing how hard saito worked to try and appear so dumb. Although Koga was intimately aware of saito's endgame it had always made him wonder why he would not show his great level of skill and ability. He could have easily become a jonin already, but it was not Koga's decision this young man needed to walk his own path just as Koga had done in his youth as well.
I see you wished to give me the benefit of ending in a stalemate rather then continuing. What have i done to deserve such a fit of graciousness from an old pupil.
Anyways, i wish to know how you feel about your training. Id there things you wish to press on to, do you feel you have plateaued?
Koga said with sincerity truly understanding that Saito was rarely a person that was not working on something. Whether it was some form of training or not was based upon whatever Saito's current fancy may have been.

He just kind of looked at the old man.
"I'm doing alright, got a handle on some things, re-working some others... I made something pretty cool that I'm trying to get marketed to other shinobi"
He said, not sounding too excited, but also not sounding too drab about it. Fishing into his pouch he produced a Volt Capsule and held it for Koga to see.

Koga peered over the item that Saito held.
What does it do?
Koga asked unsure of the interesting creation of the obviously very skilled and intelligent shinobi.

Saito grinned as he thought about demonstrating it on the old man. He flicked his wrist and sent the capsule flying at a tree instead, upon impact there was a definite buzzing and shocking sound.
"They're a real shocker"
He said looking over at Koga.

Koga stared with a giant smirk across his face at the interesting invention of the chunin. It was an amazing invention as Koga wondered why he had never seen it before.
"What is your plan for this invention other then its obvious use of course?"
Waiting for the young man to respond he continued sipping his tea while looking at the aftermath of the electric capsule.

He looked over at Koga, then down to one of the volt capsules in his hand. His mind went back to the images of fire, of three men, shadowed against the flames. Blinking those thoughts away, he looked up to Koga.
"That is the plan for it, its a tool and a weapon"
He said

Koga pondered the words of Saito as he finished off the cup of tea, reaching for the kettle he poured himself another glass. Sipping from the hot tea he set the tea down to cool, glancing one more time and the work of the volt capsule as Saito had named it.
"Have you thought about taking this to R&D and possibly getting it manufactured for the villages use? Or is this something that's more of a personal weapon?"

He just looked oddly at Koga.
"It has been manufactured for village use, just not many people use it is all"
He said, looking down at the glowing and electric capsule in his hand.
"And you old man, what have you been doing lately?"
